  8. Could be a vac line or condensation forming when you rapidly cool the wires/cap with icy water. Its one of those three.
  9. You need a dana 44, not the hybred dana 30 that the GK's had. You can make do with a dana 44 front from a bronco/f-series. But you will have to run size wheels or rehub it. Click the link in my sig for axle info.
  10. Holy lack of spaces. The genral rule on most tc's is too leave it on the tranny when you pull the engine (it should spin right into the tranny) If your tranny runs fine now then why do you need to replace it? Install a bigger cooler and maybe cartridge style filter on it. And if your a old cranky bastard like one of the members here you can even install a temp gauge for it. A lot of this stuff is pinned at the top of this forum or can be found using the search. Although if the search engine doesnt like you then say so.
  11. Well they were the first true all-terrain mode of wheeled transportation. Look at them (beyond the big AG tires) and see how they have truely made a diffrence in the automotive world. Oh yeah, Unimogs are tractors.
  12. 50 years? This has been around since the first conventinal axled tractor was built.
  13. Timing belt for sure, or maybe even the cam seals leaking on to the belt causing bad things.
  14. Dont know but there camera truck is a xj (covered in Crawl magazine) so I guess they thought it was better to have a unibody truck then a real truck.
