Yep, bed liner would have been better. 150 bucks is cheap compaired too welding new metal on a frame. It is ok at hiding rust, thats all. And it scratchs very, very easy compaired too even the cheapest bed liner.

Holy lack of spaces. The genral rule on most tc's is too leave it on the tranny when you pull the engine (it should spin right into the tranny) If your tranny runs fine now then why do you need to replace it? Install a bigger cooler and maybe cartridge style filter on it. And if your a old cranky bastard like one of the members here you can even install a temp gauge for it. A lot of this stuff is pinned at the top of this forum or can be found using the search. Although if the search engine doesnt like you then say so.
