  1. +1 The plate is in the engine bay on wd's , caR50s are on door I believe. HG 4.3 or hg 4.6
  2. Check the fuel pressure regulator hose on the rear of the intake.
  3. atf removes rust and free's stuck parts like nothing else I've ever tried. Does etch cylinder walls or anything.

  4. Didnt he just remove the dizzy?
  5. 1. Thats sweet 2. Was it bambi? 3. Hey, you surprized me. Guess I gotta pick on somebuddy else now. 4. You should be. 5. Why is it that no buddy up dates there real truck page any more? I gotta page through this to see what they've done. 6. Only thing I did today is atf a back up short block with stuck rings. Currently soaking to see if I can break it loose with the crank in it. This one may be to far gone though.
  6. That there is the better looking twin to mine before I got it. Well besides the 5spd and sunroof. Great looking truck and I'm Jelly of your lack of rust. Why didnt ya B12 it instead, since its cheaper and works better then the seafoam. Unless you like all the smoke. Oh, did I say I like your truck.
  7. E85 burns at a colder temp then gas. So it doesnt take as hot of a heat sorce to cause combustion. Dont believe me , look it up. By all means convert your truck. I am by no means telling you not too, I am simply making sure you are 100 percent sure you want too switch. And you are sure of the problems you will have.
  8. You forget about all the common stuff in your post. Which shows me you havent researched it enough. Did you even read the complete article? You need to change the compression ratio and timing for e85. You can simply remap the ECU to provide more fuel but if you dont bump the cr and igniton along with running cold plugs you will kill your engine from pre-igniton. And yes, you can buy a fuel cell that is legal in CA. On a older, carburated car you can simply re-jet and bump timing. But it is not cost effective to convert a vg to e85.
  9. Forget this idea and get a Geo tracker if you want high mpg's.
  10. First do you mean factory dizzy lines or paintlines that you put on when removing? Second. Try turning the dizzy 180 degrees and installing. Thats all i can think of at the moment.
  11. Front drive 233's are old tech. Its been on other forums before with people building them.
  12. Got metal ones on my boat trailer with little caps on them. Never new what they were until now.
  13. They seem to lope a little more with it unplugged. Yes, I see your point here. But every dealership/ auto repair shop that I have ever been too (hell even my local wal-mart) cleans the injectors by taping the fuel rails. They dont just dump a bottle of Gumout in the tank and shove ya out the door.
  14. Regaurdless of what additive he used just dumping the crap in the tank does very little unless you use it every tankful.
  15. hmm, horse back riding or do more wheel bearings.

  16. Since you live in a hill billy state, I say Super Swampers!! Since mud is all you got there.
  17. Most after market wheels have big frigging hub holes. AR's, Pacers and Welds will all fit.
  18. It'll happen sooner or later. Sideshield /glass's /goggles be damed. But metal is better then Flux, that @!*% hurts and needs too be picked out with tweezers. Q-tips are also nice for cleaning hard to reach places also that you cant normally wipe off with a rag. And toothbrushs, there great for carb work, chainsaws, and as AHB said waxing along with countless other little things.
  19. You gotta replace the transmission with it. Its not as hard as a v8 and sevral members have done it on this board. One is doing it as I type I bet. For 80 bucks go for it, hell you could rebuild it and sell it and make money if the swap is to much work.
  20. Just cross threaded the lock nut on spindle of my trailer. Then I rounded said nut off. Good news is I has beer and a 1 1/16 socket now fits were a 1 3/8 fit before. But it wont come off anyway.

I cut the nut off. It turns out the problem was a piece of metal (flat head screw driver) was stuck in the groove. Now only 8 more axles too go.

      well there's your problem

  21. That last pic I say is fine for idling in drive. The first two are strange though. When you gassed it did it rev right away or did it stagger and cug? Have you tryed too clean you injectors? I dont mean gas tank dumping them ethier, I mean really cleaning them. If it cugged when you gassed it I will say MAF all day long.
  22. Meh, carbs can be made too run better then efi of road. I just paged through it but it seems too be decently done. Strangly the one thing I found the most interesting was the mill work on the pistons.
  23. The search is hit or miss. When a member bitchs about something being covered already, there just doing it too bitch. And everyone knows the best tranny oil (I found this in my tranny guide) is there own tears.
