  1. Holy @!*%. The compressor on mine is the original one from 1994 and it still works fine. In fact. I don't think I ever had an issue with the compressor on any of my pathys.
  2. They are the same for both sides. He is suggesting to switch them to see if the problem follows that hub.
  3. I just don't like seeing people throwing parts at a car to fix it. The FSM has all of the info, there is a link in the garage section for it. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Pathfinder/ A week to get a used dizzy? Is there not a local place that you can go pull one yourself?
  4. Rotella is good stuff but too thick for me to use in the winter here. I guess the 5w40 is suitable but still. I'm sticking to 5w30 as it's had that for it's whole life, so why change it. I have no oil loss, ticking, or smoke. I don't run stupid extended oil change intervals though.
  5. Christ just go to the JY and grab a distributor or buy a new/rebuilt one. Don't piss around with changing the bearings the sensor will likely already be damaged. Just went through this on my Xterra. Except I didn't change every other part under the hood tracking it
  6. Actually, that's not true. Purolator filters will fit, as will acdelco, mobil1, and K&N, just not the fatter style ones like wix or oem nissan. I have the same headers. Still haven't gotten around to installing my relo kit though. Probably should do that one of these days.
  7. Use 5w30, that is the reccomended oil in the manual. Thick oil is to mask problems. 5w20 is too thin.
  8. Are you sure they're 10.8? I used 10.9 and have been in there for years, without issue. Even in the salt bath of canadian winters. Perhaps you got a defective bolt.
  9. I actually scrapped my old truck for that reason. I was gonna repair it. But after i smelled mice i said nope and sold it to my friend for scrap. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  10. Or just not drive it in winter like me hahaha. I'm not sure what Ontario's rules are but I did repair the frame on a friends pathy and he took it in for inspection l, they did notice the patch, said it was well done and passed the truck. This was a reputable shop in downtown ottawa as well. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  11. Check the coolant temperature sensor. It's not a clogged cat. You need to test all the sensors and injectors and compare to values in fsm. If it runs fine cold but bad warmed up, it means when the ecu goes to closed or open loop or whatever it is getting bad data. This was the o2 sensor on my rig. Never heard of a Borg Warner o2? These trucks run best with a Bosch or ntk. Was this a direct fit sensor? The universals are @!*% so don't even bother. As a test unplug the o2 cold and try driving. If it still does it plug it in and do the same with the coolant temperature sensor. I'm not sure why people on here recommend throwing fuel pumps and catalytic converters at the truck...this isn't some domestic pos ford explorer. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  12. I would assume so. Or just change all fluids/filters to get a good baseline and start from the beginning. Welcome to the group, from the other side of the country.
  13. Its under the dash fuse panel and its marked "meter" lol. The fuse links at the battery are just wires. Not actual fuses. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  14. Backups...They are worth every penny. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  15. Check the "meter" fuse. Also Check the fusible links at the battery. Those can cause issues. The canadian trucks are identical to the US ones BTW. The only difference is the metric gauges, and the daytime running lights. Which is actually nice to have because whenever I drive in the states no one has any lights on.
  16. Yeah, and it always leaked... Everyone on here is just a bunch of whiners. Have you ever changed the oil on a ford focus, or a grand am? Those are 2 that are 10 times worse. I can change the oil on the pathfinder in less than 10 minutes and not spill a drop on the starter. Just be more careful and less like a gorilla.
  17. There was a guy on here who was in his 70's. Think he's still around too. When I joined I was in the first age bracket, now I'll be in the third in a month :S
  18. Should have cut it out and welded in some metal since you have the welder. I have patched more than my fair share of holes with bondo, just not on this truck lol.
  19. I see bondo Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  20. They are banjo bolts with copper washers. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
  21. It should either weld or clamp on. You can also get the muffler/tailpipe as one whole assembly.
  22. This is what credit cards are for. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
