  1. Sorry about that I didn't see that you were an '88. What were they 36HP? Just kidding.
  2. Just a question ...why do you need more HP? I mean if I'm stuck in a swamp an extra 100 HP will not help. Are you drag racing?
  3. All I did to gain 72 HP was stop driving my '98 3.3 and buy a '03 with a 3.5. 168HP vs 240HP. Cheap swap with no tools involved.
  4. Squirt a little silicone caulking into the knuckle joint at the ceiling.. It will last till it wears out. Maybe do it again in 6 months. It saved me from a slap or two in the head on my old truck on sharp corners,..
  5. Crap... I guess I picked wrong.
  6. Are you going to use it to pull yourself in deeper or to pull yourself back out?
  7. If I took the rust off mine I'd have...air.
  8. Rear exhaust over the rear end. My last two trucks have broken there and then they cluncked.
  9. Yes I might but it would be free. I'll check out the parts this weekend. No charge but can you telling about shipping? KDJ
  10. I have all the AC parts from a 1996, a '98 and a '03 if anyone wants them.
  11. Your rims are identicle to mine and I do not like them...at all. But that is just me. I don't like the lego's either. I'm keeping the steel rims from the wreck of the ol' 98..rust and all. I put the White Wall Wrangler to the inside though..but that's just me again and great minds think opposite..
  12. Why isn't your nav. in pink boots pushing? So were there four trucks out?
  13. Ha... by burger I guess you mean the front grill "Nissan"?
  14. Just paid $2995 with safety. etest, taxes and plates etc..for my '03 .I'd say their after an extra 5$.
  15. I have 250 HP and can't hear if the motor is running ...love that and don't shift that.
  16. You couldn't pay me to drive a standard...auto only for me. I see no advantages other that gas mileages but if that was a problem I wouldn't be driving a Pathfinder. Just saw a thing about an average standard driver does 70,000 shifts a year....I don't.
  17. Thanks Adam...It's been a long time since I had the 3L apart. I'm looking forward to digging into this new 3.5 soon though! When I start it and it squeels it makes the pedestrians in ear shot jump.
  18. Where I live there is a parts store that does free alt/bat. tests out of the goodness in their hearts...or maybe if one is bad they can make a sale. Either way it's FREE.
  19. Personaly I've found oil doesn't matter much because no matter what I do the motors, they are still running strong long after the truck (I'm on the 3rd) has rusted beyond driving. My Hardbody (farm truck) snapped in two last year and if I don't get the rear frame rails replaced this year, the front half(cab and motor) are going to be the generator for the cabin next winter. The three together are getting close to 1,000.000KMS.
  20. I may be an idiot. Now before everyone agrees, do you have a 3 or a 3.3 liter? If it's a 3 litre-then yes I am. They don't have an idler if I now remember correctly. Just three V belts. But the 3.3 has two, one on the AC belt and one on the water pump/alt. belt. On my last truck (3.3L) it was the idler for the wp/alt belt. I have a 3 a 3.3 and a 3.5L and I haven't seen any of them since I last pried my hood open with an ice scraper to check if it was a belt. .
  21. It could very well be a belt, I'm just saying with my 3.3 it was the idler pulley for the serpentine belt. The 3.5 in my new truck just started doing the same thing last week and the belts are fine...so I know the problem with mine. When the snow melts down a bit more here I'll be taking all the AC stuff off of mine and I'll fix it then.
  22. Razz Razz! O.K. I'm done. As for the engineer that designed it think he was the one that replaced the guy that designed the one for the VG 30 starter soaker.
  23. Well that looks pretty good. How do you like it's fit?
  24. Single and own a Pathfinder? Back off boys she's mine! Sorry just kidding. But even if your fan clutch is seized it shouldn't wear out your belts. The belts are run by the pulleys whether your fan is turning or not. Maybe your idler pulley is seizing up? Any squeeling?
