  1. Kyle are you kidding? Day after day of information...plus I think he might be one of those Canadians! I'll be glad to see his tail lights for the last time.
  2. Not sure why you quoted me twice but if you need to fix your wheel wells check out... Nor/Am Auto Body Parts -Nissan-Datsun -Pathfinder
  3. Is this what you did when your front speakers quit working?
  4. The stock ones usually go for a few hundred thousand mile without one. If your planning that many more for your '97 I have to ask...what's you secret?
  5. I'd 3rd that. Brian I see you patched the same hole as I have in my old Chilkoot front frame rail. Did you just do the outside or the whole (hole) thing? I'm just about to send my brother the welder under mine with the TIG and a pile of plate steel.
  6. Even if you do sell I hope you will stay around to pass on everything you have learned to the rest of us!
  7. I've said it before...replace the audio amp. relay. Keep the original stereo, front speakers and wires. The resister in the relay burns out...It's a $20 fix. Last time I'll say this...I promise. If you want to replace everything else that's fine but unnecessary.
  8. My swap went from 3.3 168 HP to the 3.5 at 250 HP (82 HP difference). I parked the '98 and bought a '03. It cost $3000 and I didn't even get my hands dirty plus I have about two tons of spare parts. The '03 makes the old '98 feel like driving a hay wagon and the front end isn't rotted beyond repairs. The extra 82 HP sure is noticable. Yes I can now pass people.
  9. I've had my '98 3.3 and my '03 3.5 parked side by side before to compare the differences. It looked like it would be a challenge to say the least!
  10. I have an old VW Westfielia van. I've often thought about putting a tow bar on it, loading it with all my gear and towing to the camp site. It has a pop up roof, fridge, sink and has upper and lower double beds plus a hammock for two kids over the front seats.
  11. I'm willing to bet in 2022 someone else will find this info. handy.
  12. I'd check out the exhaust system and mounts as well.
  13. Thanks, didn't see it when I was last in Brockville.
  14. I brought home the new Mazda3 today to make the Pathfinde jealous and hopefully get it's sh!t together. The Pathy has never heard something burn rubber before now. Love this new car...but it's no Pathfinder!
  15. I try to always carry... 1 my Rottweiler 2 dog treats 3 ownership and insurance papers 4 toilet paper...in case I run out of any of the above. 5 rolling papers.(in case I run out of #1 to #4) 6 goes with # 5 7 running shoes if all else fails.
  16. On my last Pathfinder I tried Rustoleum. It lasted about 6 months. Por-15 doesn't seem to be available in my area but lately I've heard it is good(last two posts)...I'd love to try it. Anybody think bedliner would work better?
  17. I've been playing in the mud and snow for over 40 years and have never used the brakes for more traction. Sounds kind of counter productive to me. I use the brakes to stop the drive line while shifting back and forth between drive and reverse to get a rocking motion going. If you can't move back and forth then brakes won't help you out. And I've always thought the sky is blue because I have blue eyes.
  18. I know the '96 and newer have fuses under the hood near the battery, I assume the earlier models do as well.
  19. Repair kits are available for bumper covers. Adhesive, mesh and filler. You remove the cover first and do the repair from the back side. It's sort of like fiberglass repairs except flexable. It looks like someone tried to fix yours with ABS or PVC glue. Your paint colour is the same as mine and Dupli Colour touch up paint is a perfect match.
  20. This might not help but....With my 2003 there are 2 front amps, one in each front door and one rear amp for both rears together. When my fronts quit it turned it was a relay that supplies power to the front amps when the key is turned on. The new relay was about $20. Very simple fix.
  21. What years does this cover? I have a '96, '98 and a '03 and they are no. 4(X2) or 8 for the 9th character?
  22. I agree with red/green stripe. I think it's #4 fuse in the fuse box. If you pull the plug from the stereo that wire should show 12volts with a meter or test light. If it does but you still have the problem then it's the stereo. If it doesn't then it's the fuse or the wiring between the two.
  23. I'd think any compedent parts store should be able to order you one. If not try a Nissan dealer or RockAuto will have one. About 15 or 20 bucks at the most.
