  1. On my first set they fit ok, but the second set I had to heat up and bend the egr tube to make it fit. For all the pissing around I did, I just bought thorleys for my new pathfinder.
  2. They look like 4" backspacing, I have the same ones except with round holes.
  3. If you want to change it. Get Doug Thorley headers (or pacesetters if you're cheap), and build a custom 2.25" exhaust. I wouldn't say it turned it into a race car, but I did notice that it doesn't struggle as much on the highway with bigger tires.
  4. If you want to fit 33x10.5 you can fit those stock with little trimming (on stock lego wheels). I currently have those on my 3+3 lifted truck and I could probably fit 35.10.5x15 if that size could be found easily. If I had to do it all again I would just do a body lift and run narrow 33's. Our trucks drive best with a 10.5" wide tire and it won't kill power/fuel economy/steering parts as much. The off road difference between 12.5 and 10.5" is hardly noticeable, maybe if all you did was mud bogging it would be worth the extra wear and tear. I for one won't put that size back on my truck.
  5. It did, but it does not affect the drivability. When I had the motor replaced the shop repaired the harness and that issue was resolved (I bought it that way). On the Xterra the coil is in the distributor, on the VG30 it is mounted to the intake plenum.
  6. I bought used oem "Euro spec" left hand drive housings off of ebay years ago, they use h4 bulbs instead of 9004. That coupled with a relay harness, I have great headlights, almost as good as any new car. And they aren't stupid led crap that blinds the @!*% out of other drivers.
  7. Looks great, but take that awful exhaust tip off!
  8. Not my pathfinder but I put the knock sensor wiring back to stock on my Xterra. Runs great!
  9. Use the 3.0 distributor. Also you don't need the CKP as it is only used for diagnostics. I had mine unplugged on my Xterra for like a year lol.
  10. Codes might not be too bad. If you've had the battery unhooked recently it would lose them all anyway.
  11. That sounds about right. I remember it being just a red or orange light square. This was around 2010 so my memory could be wrong.
  12. There were A LOT of them here in Ontario. My parents had their 2000 bought back. They were trading it in on a new Xterra at the time, and I told my dad to take it in for the recall, they gave him $5500 for the truck, instead of the measly $1600 the dealer was offering for trade. It wasn't even that bad but the dealer pushed them to buy it back because they were selling a new truck anyway. I'm pretty sure one of the mechanics took it and re plated it for himself, even if they weren't supposed to. It was pretty clean otherwise and had a 5 speed.
  13. Some of the 92 and older ones didn't have a check engine light. But apparently you can put a bulb in the socket where it is supposed to be and it will light up.
  14. They are not stopping people randomly here yet, I still go for a drive once a week, this isn't North Korea lol. I really wish they would have stopped the quebeccers from coming here, as we are not allowed to go there. Always seems to be a one way street with that province. The long term care homes are getting hit hard for obvious reasons. The one my Nonna is in they just tested everyone and so far so good.
  15. Yes they were not cheap and they took forever to get. I had to source them from different places (Dealer, ebay). It's great to have but honestly if I had to do it again I would just put bilsteins all the way around. The KYB Excel G ones were softer than the 20 year old OEM ones on the back, and the front had some Monroe blue crap that was installed by the shop I bought it from to pass inspection. When it comes to shocks I've pretty much tried all brands on the wd21. Rancho rs5000 are great if it is just a weekend wheeler and not a DD.
  16. https://www.4x4parts.com/i-18981693-super-lift-front-suspension-lift.html That's your best bet Choose your rear coils here: https://www.4x4parts.com/c-1046883-suspension-suspension-lift-components-rear-suspension-components-pathfinder.html I would not waste time pissing around with the jeep springs. I did that years ago and they never gave a compliant ride. I have the 3" coils in mine for almost 10 years and they have not sagged at all. Keep in mind if you lift the rear you will need to replace the rear shocks with longer ones.
  17. That doesn't look bad at all. I'd get under there with a wirebrush and some por15 if you get bored. Otherwise just keep oil spraying it. Looks all surface rust to me. Check the strut towers though although they look ok in the pics.
  18. For the cable there is an adjustment procedure in the fsm. It involves the turnbuckle under the console. There is also one for the range sensor on the side of the trans. Don't put it drive without the driveshafts haha. That’s why it is making that noise. For the starting, there is a common issue on auto pathys where the wiring can’t deliver the full voltage to the solenoid. You can fix this by adding a relay, Mr Reverse had a how to on it somewhere.
  19. I tried the spray foam thing once, it just rotted out after a few years anyway. I think if I had to do it again, I would just get the vehicle oil sprayed.
  20. Clean body, but needs the oil pan pulled? That's a 4-6 hour job because of the front diff. I'd pay $1500 tops.
  21. Replaced the fuel sending unit with a used one. No fuel leak now but my gas gauge still doesn't seem to work right, although now it isn't bouncing all over the place.
  22. Definitely. My Xterra ran weird for a good 20 minutes after I replaced the knock sensor (upper and lower intake has to come off). The air bleeds itself out eventually.
  23. I'm lucky to have my pathfinder and my car here, so I can wrench on both at the same time. I dropped the X off at a friends shop a few weeks ago so he could work on rebuilding the rockers. It's pretty much done now but I can't go pick it up... At least by the end of this we all should have some pretty clean and well maintained rigs lol.
  24. I would adjust it to the point just before it pings. You could also run colder plugs if you want to run more timing advance. Or use premium fuel. I once had mine set at 25 degrees instead of 15 and was blown away by the power difference lol. But it never pinged.
  25. I saw those chrome ones, my truck is an SE with the chrome mirrors and bumpers so it would look OK, but having them mismatched to the rear door handles would bug me. Nissan still carries it so I guess I will buy it from there if the one on my parts rig is trash. Those blue monroe shocks are death traps. They came installed on the front of mine and when I hit a big dip on the free way in Toronto I thought I was going to lose control of the truck.
