Your best bet would be the TD27 as you said, this is the common engine here in Oz, another option is the QD32DET, which uses the same block as the TD27, but produces almost 50% more power. Not sure where you can get them from in the states, might be worth looking into importing one yourself.

G'day mate, where in oz are you?

Will do mate, I have put it off til after xmas, would rather my excess funds go to my kids presents. These are the lights I am getting, quality seems very good. Am also looking at getting a couple of remote control search lights, they have a 360º rotation with I believe 20º down and 45º upward movement.

Bender Built WD21 Rock Sliders
DavefromOZ replied to nige's topic in Solid Axle Swaps, Hardcore Custom Fab
Definitely not a good idea, mine have rusted from the inside out. I cant even stand on mine without the factory brackets bending. You also need to anchor the sliders onto the frame, otherwise you are just changing the place that the damage to the body is occurring. -
have a look at the combination switch (headlight switch stalk), they are common problems, usually resulting in one headlight/high beam to go out intermitantly.

Spot on, the QD32det came standard in the R50 Terrano, they werent offered with a 5 speed, but the 5 speed out of the WD21 Terrano will bolt straight up.

If you have a steady hand, it can be done with a 4" angle grinder, which is what I used.

how do i replace input shaft bearing
DavefromOZ replied to tsailor21's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Start by downloading the FSM from HERE. Make sure you read up good, then take your time. If you can, have your camera ready to take heaps of pics and do a bit of a write up for the rest of us. -
x2 I had the same thing, was only in 1,3 & 5. Eventually the bearing failed completely and I had a $1700 rebuild done.

G'day mate, good to see another West Aussie on here. Im 6'4 and have slept in the back of my 1993 WD21 fairly comfortably a few times, but Im not sure about 2 ppl as the wheel wells may cause it to be a little too snug, unless ur having someone sleep on top of you. Im not sure about the R50, but im sure Pezzy will be here in a minute to answer.

I'm pretty sure they wont work. Have you tried D22 Navara ones? They will be your best bet.
-
You could always remove the door, turn it upside down and shake them out. But easier to replace and forget.

Congrats My1, a few more and you will catch TerranoNZ on the number of these trucks you have/had.
