Thats nuts, I can get a whole Terrano with TD27 for 3k, or there was an engine on ebay here in oz for around 1100 not long ago.

He got rid of that rangie and bought a newer one. Don't tell anyone, but its an inside Aus joke, no one here drinks fosters, its not a nice beer.

Believe me, hitting a roo doesnt spell the end of it. My uncle hit one in a Range Rover, the roo bounced off into the bush, my uncle needed new roo bar, head light & grill.

Yep, 270 for a radio/antenna package. The Aus Cobra dealer only has marine radios listed, so not sure if they can get them.

I would be looking at the combination switch, possibly a contact in there that has fused shut. Other than that I have never heard of this happening.

I dont understand how they are soooooo cheap over there, here for an entry level CB you are looking at $225 dollars, I have never even heard of a Cobra brand here.

Adam, I would pull the trim off the passenger side in the rear and mount it behind that, no one would know it was there, if need be run a 12v fav to circulate air in there.

In the past I have spread kitty litter on a fresh oil stain with some success, it will draw a fair amount of oil out.

Yeah, the TD27 is a pretty good little motor, pretty much all 90'a Pathys here have them (mine does), the fuel economy is alot better too, I get between 650 & 700km per tank.
