  1. No doubt you could use just the factory bumper mounts, as long as your D rings are only for looks. Spend the extra time fabricating the lower mounts at the same time as the rest of the bumper, because if your anything like the majority of us, you wont get around (ie too lazy) to take the bar off again to do it the second time.
  2. I believe you use the same mounting points on the lower frame as a brush guard, then also tie to the mounting points for a standard front bumper for the additional support. Thats how I am designing mine anyway.

    Burger

My turn to add to the hunger building thread Toasted the roll, with a little butter and mayo Next, I added some green stuff Followed by some beetroot Followed by an egg Then the patty (premium beef mince, bacon, chilli, dijon mustard, garlic & onion in this one), topped with some good old cheddar Added some bacon & tomato sauce And served Good burger, didnt use chilli powder this time, I used fresh chilli, which really worked with the dijon.
  4. Best way to put your pics up on the board is to host them on photobucket or similar website.
  5. Yours will be different to this procedure as you have a WD21, the standard R50 hubs are always locked.
  6. G'day mate, where abouts in Oz are you located? I know 4x4parts do a conversion kit for a small block chev, not sure if there is anything else required though. Cyril has a Commodore V6 in his.
  7. As long as the cushion fits between the tranny tunnel and the door, you should be able to get them in. Easiest way to check, measure the distance between your tracks, then go to a dealership and see if you can quickly measure the R51 track. Will more than likely need to fabricate some brackets to fit them though, just make sure the brackets are done well, need to remember its your a$$ thats going to be at risk, literally.
  8. I know, I am always hanging around, but it seems Team Oz has somehow vapourised.
  9. Welcome mate, I look forward to seeing you truck.
  10. Yeah, as said above, 1100 for an exhaust is crazy. I was just quoted $550 for a 2 1/2" exhaust with freeflowing muffler, and I live in the land where everything is more expensive than the US.
  11. Welcome mate, I see you have wasted no time in using your Pathy for what they were meant for.
  12. Without knowing what pucks are made of, I would be very wary of using them. I'm lucky enough to work for a company who has a CNC shop and who works exclusively with aluminium, so when we did mine it cost me $15.00 total, just had to buy the hardware. I didnt need to extend the filler or the vent.
  13. G'day mate, welcome. Just to clarify OME (Old Man Emu) is the suspension division of ARB.
  14. G'day Chris, welcome mate. I'm in Perth, there are quite a few of us Aussies loitering here, although I cant remember anyone else from SA. As B said, the Z24 should run forever if looked after. (I've only ever seen one destroy itself, but that was after a 5000km road trip from Brisvegas to Perth, fully loaded, towing a fully loaded trailer. Another option for the flares is the Clark Rubber variety, JADM4X4 recently installed them on his, follow this link to check them out http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=22413&view=findpost&p=430617 Dont forget to pop into the Aussie section and say g'day.
  15. We dominated this time round, 2 gold, our best return ever in the Winters, whats better, this time no one had to fall down for an Aussie to win.

    Birthdays

Happy Birthday everyone, Pezzy why do you get 2?
  17. Not sure mate, but I have a similar problem, I just keep degreasing mine and topping it up. You just reminded me to see if a mate has one out of his parts bus still.
  18. Welcome mate, throw some pics up. Well done on getting the truck moving again, too many people give up too easily these days.
  19. G'day Pete, these are what most Aussies use now days, can be bought by the metre from Clark Rubber. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=22413&view=findpost&p=430617
  20. G'day Mullo, welcome mate. To me it sounds like you have a dodgy CV joint, not a dificult fix. Make sure you pop into the Aussie thread and say g'day as well mate, Cyril is in Newcastle and Stocktons is his regular stomping ground.
  21. G'day Quentin, welcome mate. We are always keen to see pics.
  22. G'day Nesh, welcome. I have a TD27 also, and agree that in very soft sand they do struggle to keep momentum up. To put in the V6 you would need to replace the fuel system, ECU and possibly the gearbox. You would be better off trying to locate a QD32ETi, they put out 150bhp in stock trim, I believe its almost a straight bolt in as they use the same block (again, I've been told this, but havent confirmed). Add a better intercooler, up the boost and a decent exhaust and you should have no problem at all on the soft stuff.
  23. Nah mate, not elegable for anything from the government, I earn too much, already thought of that one. Work will pay my bond for me.
