  1. Yeah, even if age hasn't killed them, if they have smoked they are close to worthless, yet served their purpose. Check that you aren't over drawing through the circuits those run to.
  2. Pretty sure they are 12x1.25, try threading a bolt into a lug nut, if it fits, that is the thread. I actually tapped mine out on my 93 to fit standard bolts, got tiered of it being a pain to find something to fit easily.
  3. What the TM lift does besides the diff drop, it adds a spacer piece between the upper ball joint and the spindle. That part also has a new place to attach the tie-rod to keep the steering at better angles. There is nothing on the market at all to eleviate the CV angle issues from lifting. You might be able to make custom shafts, but as of yet I haven't heard of anyone making any. Most people who are looking for lift and trail ability just SAS rather than throwing a bunch of $$$ at the IFS system.
  4. Sounds like that might be the case, I would double check that the booster isn't full of brake fluid, if so it is toast and will need replaced also.
  5. That's probably where the dash mount e-brake goes through, forgot about that spot.
  6. I replaced my stock tweeters in the front with Rockford Fosgates, which I mointed at the top of the B pillars, so they are right at ear level basically.
  7. Both of mine have auto tranny's and all my auxiliary wiring is ran through where the clutch cylinder would be.
  8. My 88 has the factory alarm, I turn the switch and the light comes on, but I'll be damned if it actually does anything besides turn the LED on.
  9. One tip if you plan to play in a lot of wet stuff, put dielectric grease in all your wiring connections under the hood. It will help keep the water out of them and reduce any arcing. Also be carefull you don't fry the alternator, it sits so low it will get full of mud easily, it is a common post trail run part to be replaced.
  10. The window seals are not at all cheap through the dealer (they can get them). Online parts dealer: http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-wd21-1987-1995/genuine-nissan-parts/bodyside-rear/-c-5572_5573_5716.html
  11. You have to turn the pully until the hole in it lines up with the bolt, then put a socket through the pully onto the nut.
  12. IIRC it uses the MAF and O2 sensor readings to determine air/fuel mixture in versus a rich/lean burn reading out and bases timing to burn most efficiently. It changes ignition timing based on the crank angle sensor readings.
  13. IIRC from doing mine, the MAF outlet is roughly 3" and the TB is 2.5" .
  14. I don't think they went to 33 spline until 2000 or 2001.
  15. Our fuel gauges read funny, Mine will read full when filled, but be at 3/4 tank 20 miles down the road, then slowly drop as I go and hold just over 1/4 tank for about 80 miles before dropping again. So, it is more for a reference than a specific/accurate gauge.
  16. Put a bottle under the drain on the vent system (firewall on passenger side) and see what color the fluid coming out is. If it is clear, no prob just normal condensation, green, you got a leak. You'll need to run the truck with the AC on a while to get some drainage.
  17. Since it is on turns, have you checked your power steering components and fluid? Is your alignment off, or steering stops not adjusted and you are toasting the tires on turns?
  18. Tried what, dismantling the switch and cleaning the contacts? #1 cause of headlight issues is the contacts in the switch on our trucks.
  19. Yep, stock cooler is prone to clogging.
  20. Yes, even stock steering will hold up under moderate wheeling. Upgraded CL and idler brace will greatly increase the life of the other steering components.
  21. Start simple first, is the latch sticking and not locking fully? Try lubing the latch first.
  22. My 93 is doing that, need to pull the wheel, but have been lazy.
  23. The only other vehicle that used our exact AT tranny was some Mazda MPVs. Our trannys and the Subbys might be based on the same basic internal gearing and valving system, but are completely different.
  24. I got almost 19mpg on my trip last weekend, 320 miles, 17 gallons. That was mixed driving on highway and old country, hilly, curvy roads. Not to mention, I need a tune up and oil change along with having loose steering and carried a metal table and chair set for half the trip.
  25. Don't just toss em out, they fetch a good $$$ at the scrap yards due to the platinum inside them.
