  1. Nothing missing, the open end is the vent. You could add a hose to it to put the vent opening somewhere else, but it is pretty safe as is.
  2. I have one on my 93, but it was installed before I bought it.
  3. I just removed mine, they are M6s.
  4. What tranny does your's have? If auto, you probably have the 3speed since it is an 87, that might be the difference. 88+ had an overdrive gear, that could be the reason your highway milage suffers.
  5. I don't recommend using air to blast the clog out, it can blast a hole in the AC. I always stick a long zip-tie up through the drain pipe, that way if I poke through I don't puncture anything.
  6. WRONG! The rear driveshaft does need disconnected. If it is left connected it can cause problems in the tranny, even if it and the T-case are put in neutral, the shafts inside still spin.
  7. I just mounted a set of these http://www.4wheelparts.com/prodDetail.aspx?partno=K%2fC736 on my 93, but have yet to get them wired in. I have a pair of these http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/Lamp-pages/80proxt.html on my 88, and they are bright as day, but also about $350 for a pair in a kit with relays and a switch (I got them in trade, I wouldn't pay that, lol). Edit to add pic:
  8. Usually if it does it at certain speeds (ie 30 and 60) it is a tire/wheel issue.
  9. I used standard clamps on my lines when I first added the cooler, they cut into the hoses and caused a weep. I swapped them out for fuel line clamps and all good since.
  10. WARN did make a winch mount grill guard. No other grill guard out there is made for a winch, unless you find a rare early 90s factory one.
  11. Nothing major since I owned my 88 (5 years), though it has pretty much sat for a year with a MAF issue.
  12. Most of them have no clue about Nissans, and the few that will work on Nissans tend to mess them up.
  13. I still use the ANCO Winterblades.
  14. WTF do you bolt a bumper to on a unibody? Yeah, not a single aftermarket bumper made for it.
  15. Down the dipstick tube, it's no fun and hard to find a funnel small enough.
  16. Yep, 88 was the first year of the 4 speeds. Some late build 87s might have got them, but it would be hit or miss if they did, like the 89 MPI models.
  17. I still need to find that Jimmy guy, and get the scoop. It is a 2wd kit though, you can install it on a 4wd, but it will no longer be a 4wd then.
  18. They'll be OK either way, but the Premiums are a superior product.
  19. If there is any difference then it would be between the different years, and the only difference would be because they used different steering boxes (WD-21s). That wouldn't effect turn radius though. That was completely and totally the steering stops as stated.
  20. Even easier when you do what Chevy did and just remove 2 cylinders off a 350 to make a 4.3L.
