  1. hooked up the flat trailer and loaded a toyota motor and engine crane on it, then drove it to work.

DO IT! No more worries about scratches and everything just kinda hoses off! Probably decent rust protection too!
  3. has anyone ever used the shop crane from harbor freight?

I have one, got it while on a big sale and used a 25% off coupon, so it was really cheap. But I have never used it. I've not even assembled it yet. Timing of the sale was off, picked it up after I returned a rental lol

i got a coupon for the 1 ton for 99. i had rerad reviews on it so i was a little sketched out.. but it assembled fine and wasnt missing any hardware! and today my engine stand came in! already assembled! gonna be a good week!

Nope, I use the winch/boom on a wrecker!

  4. ok, lunch break came around and i went to press in them uca bushings. all in place to find out that the thread on one of the spindles got just a little chewed... so now i actually have to have my '94 out of commission for a bit while i get that spindle of and use it. good thing everything is walking distance!
  5. today... Before work i pulled the U.C.A's off the 95 and for my lunch break press in the new bushings! after work get to swap em out and mock up new bushing cups for the compression rods.
  6. That is a GORGEOUS build! Thanks for sharing! What are the lengths of your links and what's the donor axle from?

I just ain't personally a fan of OD. read personally...

  8. i too used the stock brackets and screws for that matter. even the after market double size have the same mounting. you just wouldnt need the sleeve that comes with them. the brackets line up with the screw holes on the deck. pretty simple. if your going aftermarket anyway..
  9. drove it to work today. but yesterday (day off) i completed a decent check list! 1.) all new steering components. (TRE's, center link, ball joints and dampener) 2.) oil change. 3.) tire rotation. 4.) hardwired a stereo and speakers. 5.) cleaned it! 6.) mocked up my highlift jack mounts! 7.) swapped front door panels from the '95 8.) swapped the starter from the '95 as well. yeah, it was a good day!
  10. oh NPORA, how i LOVE your search function!
