  1. Alright... Time to sell em.... 1990 SE, and a 1994 XE. Both 5spds. I drove the '90 for about 5 years, swamped it in a bigger than thought puddle, did a motor swap- never ran like normal again. Lacking body mount bolts, has no carpet, has some trimmed front fenders and a hole cut in the drivers side fender for a DIY snorkel (to prevent that hydro locking from happening again). I bought the '94 when I decided I needed a more reliable vehicle. I figured why not buy another Pathfinder as I already have a parts vehicle if needed. The '94 had some broken LCA links that I replaced. Decided I'd swap my lifts in. Put my rear JGC coils in, cranked the torsions, drove it for 12km and the drivers torsion bar popped out (no idea how). Towed it home, took the torsions out to redo it, lost motivation and bought a 2011 Tacoma. So, they sit at my parents place collecting dust. Any interest? Located in Kamloops, BC... Email is best to contact me tanzak88@hotmail.com
  2. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). Uses braking and engine power cuts to prevent you from getting out of control. I like to mess around occasionally when it snows and do donuts etc. I hate the damn thing. I wish I could rip it out of the truck. Also, I wish that in Canada you could get the Double Cab in the TRD Off Road package... would have been nice to have a locking rear diff. Nice looking Tacoma, uncc. I allllmost got white.
  3. It's a 4x4. I've got a backup camera, and when I put it in reverse I get an in-cab beep (once) to let me know, "dude... you missed 1st..." I hate the traction control thing though. I've lost the back end a couple times on ice and I naturally move to correct it. But the dang thing does its stupid traction control and starts braking trying to correct it, and making it pointless and almost dangerous to try and correct it manually.
  4. Thanks all. It's a pretty fun truck for sure. Nicest ride quality I've ever experienced. Not too sure why the fuel economy is so bad... it's only a 4.0L V6, with a 6spd manual... I'll be taking it offroad in the spring to go fishing etc. Payments aren't actually that bad, as I put a bunch of money down on it. But in the end.......................... I still have both of my Pathys Just gotta get the motivation to get stuff done on them and get the '94 trail ready. Yeehaw! Summer project.
  5. Been too busy to come on here and post pics. 100 hours of work per week is kiiiiiillling me.... At the dealership Snowwwww First wash I'll get better pictures when I have the time. In all honesty... I'm kind of half thinking of trading it in on something else... This thing is worse on fuel than my Pathy! I still love it though, but 15.5mpg avg is killing me.
  6. Dowser... way to rain on my parade bro! Sheeeeeeesh! I'm still getting it... and I'll be getting a super warranty.. also, one of our loyal clients at our fishing resort is the new vehicle sales manager at the dealership I'm buying from. So, hopefully I'll get treated better. If not, oh well. Pathy's were new from dealerships at one point.
  7. I'm buying new because I'm tired of used vehicles- I always get lemons. I'd much rather have a vehicle that didn't have a previous owner so I don't have to worry about how it may have been beat heavily offroad, or revved like crazy, or ran 10k miles over an oil change etc. I figure I'll have it for a long time, and the doublecab will be great for a family. Tacomas actually hold their value quite well. Obviously you wont get the whole value out of it, but imo, they hold their value much better than Fords etc. Tacomas are also the cheapest option out there right now, for new trucks... where I live, at least...
  8. Well, I still own my '90 and '94 SE's, but I just ordered a new ride... Now that I've transferred to a different ambulance station where I can actually make some money, I've decided to get a new truck. 2011 TRD Tacoma Double Cab, 6spd manual. Hopefully I'll have time to work on the '94 and get it trail ready for having fun in, and loving Will probably have pics when it arrives in early November...
  9. I've given up on the Pathy, actually... I'm getting into a 2011 TRD Tacoma, double cab 6spd :) But I'll be keeping the Pathys for a combination of both in hopes to produce something evil.

  10. hey man, how's progress on the pathy?

  11. Having the glass completely out is wonderful Though, remember that it's out before you hit 5" deep puddles at 50m/hr....
  12. I don't think the gun likes the ammo, I know how to shoot. I was actually shooting on exhale, and in between heart beats, but at a distance of 40 yards, heartbeats shouldn't make much of a difference really. I noticed some weird burns on the brass too... ejected brass had a "back burn" type black mark on them, like the round doesn't seat properly in the barrel/chamber..
