  1. LOL, KISS! The black will look good against the gray... B
  2. 200 rpm? It runs stable and smooth that low? B
  3. Button it up and roll it! If it makes any noises or acts strangely, time to start sourcing a replacement rear axle ot internals, but I'll bet you are fine for a while. I too am curious about the wear/shear marks on the one piece... B
  4. ^Exactly what I was going to say! Fill the holes with clips/plugs and call it good... B
  5. My1Path has all the info and has posted some of it here in previous threads. Advanced search and/or PM will get you your answers from the source. B
  6. I have not heard of anyone doing it, but I think it should be possible. The real question is why... B
  7. Doesn't do it for me. No bumpers, oo much plastic. Body is straight with rediculous fender flares attached. Just doesn't do it for me. B
  8. Agreed. Actually a damper on the road can mask some issues so it isn't always beneficial. The best use for it is to reduce bump steer often found on lifted vehicles and offroad. B
  9. Definite noted power loss, stated by countless members. Acceptable to some, not to others. YMMV Personally, I'm setting mine up expedition style and went with the 31" to make sure there were no clearance issues (2" body lift, 2+" suspension lift), less steering stress and 'normal' drivibility. Regardless if you go with 31" or 33", I would stay with the 15" rim and the high flotation tires if you plan to go off road. If for no other reason, they would be easier to scrounge in an emergency. I actually ran into that in Baja once... B
  10. I think it looks better, but it is hard to tell with that picture... Those aren't the new inserts, are they? Just wondering if there was something that fatigued it. B
  11. Have you downloaded a copy of the Factory Service Manual from the pinned thread in the Garage section? If not, do so, it is important to have. In the EC file on page 133, there is a simple voltage check to do but you need the picture to determine which terminal to check. It could very well be in the wiring to that connector as well, they are known to develope issues. Check for loose pins and terminal connections as well. Yes, I agree that your issue sounds electrical/wiring in nature so you are going to have to keep at it, isolating and checking with a multi-meter. Electrical diagnostics aren't my strong point either, but I'm sure you can follow the basic checks in the FSM. Let us know what you find... B
  12. What is a JKU?? Floatation sized tires, airing down and shocks should have saved your kidneys, but good luck with your new vehicle. B
  13. I think that has more to do with the Durango... B
  14. Yep, good sleuthing! I have not heard of this issue before though. Does your Pathy have a shake or vibration at speed? B
  15. ES3000 X3 I found them perfectly adequate, if not a bargin for the price. The rear was a little stiff empty, but that is as it should be if you ever load it up. They aren't much more... Don't know if this helps you. http://www.summitracing.com/search/product-line/pro-comp-es3000-shocks/make/nissan/model/pathfinder/year/1995 B
  16. The PVC is cheap and easy ot check/replace so no harm there. Go through and tighten your oil pan/valve covers as well. Get as many as you can but don't overtorque, just re-snug them. Wipe things down at the seams/drip points as best you can and see what happens then. Heavier grade oil should help as well, 10-40 in summer at least? B
  17. I recharged the battery, but forgot about it over night. It was @ 15.6 volts this morning I got up and has since dropped back down to 12.9 volts so I think the Optima Yellowtop survived. Thankfully I just have a little self metering 6amp charger; the battery wasn't even hot... B
  18. Any blue smoke on start up or up grades? Does it leave any drips when parked? What does the under/backside look like? You could have increased oil blow by slightly if it overheated, and no, the temp gauge isn't necessarily that accurate, it is mainly for reference AFAIC. B
  19. I'm thinking this needs to be moved to the Garage/How-To section... B
  20. ^Bingo! If you want to change things up though, you can get a VG33e (out of a Frontier, R50 or X-terra) to put in it. Change out the cams with the VG30 and you'll have 20+ HP over a stock pathy, more than a 10% gain... I'll move this to the Garage section. B
  21. I don't know about best, but certainly good enough and seem to last a long time... B
  22. It is a 5 link, isn't it? 2 upper, 2 lower and the pan hard rod? B
  23. It looks fine! First time you bump with it it'll settle in place anyway... How about a side shot? What type of metal did you put in the trim piece (lower valance I believe?) B
