  1. Yeah, the unlimited is the 4 door. It's a pretty amazing vehicle, but I guess it should be for what they cost.
  2. So, after losing all the kidneys my wife and I were endowed with this weekend at Hidden Falls, we joined the dark side. Our JKU is supposed to hit the ground at the dealership tomorrow. The pathy will be going up for sale soon. Houston guys keep your eyes open!
  3. TRO at Hidden Falls. Several jeep guys said I was their hero, lol. http://youtu.be/vUC1Oc9SLbI Not my video, but you'll get the idea.
  4. Wheeled it on the beach with GV280Z and some others.
  5. Installed new struts on the hatch. Sure is nice not to be afraid for my life when the hatch is open! Finally put the 2 missing studs in the hub.
  6. I just cleaned the wheels with some go-jo gel hand cleaner (not the abrasive kind) to get the brake dust off, made sure they were dry and went at it. Don't do it in bright sun, it dries too fast and leaves a crappy finish. It took 6 coats on each wheel to make it smooth, which is about half a can.
  7. I plasti dipped the wheels on my wife's old stang. Held up really well. If you get tired of it, it peels off with a little effort.
  8. Thanks! I knew better than to put them in the tray of my stool, there's a gremlin that steals every small item I put there. It was dark when we finished, they probably got kicked into the grass.
  9. When I took off the nuts to take the hub off, 2 of the studs backed out. Naturally they've vanished. I can find part numbers all day long, but I can't find the stud dimensions. If anyone knows, please post up. Otherwise, I'm just going to take one of the nuts to the hardware store and get a couple of grade 8 studs..... and some locktite!
  10. The light was already out. I thought it was the bulb. Sometimes I'm clear as mud!
  11. Cool, that switch looks like it has the potential to have issues. I saw them on Ebay for pretty cheap, but I wasn't able to tell who the manufacturer was. Thanks for posting the diagram!
  12. My driver's side headlight doesn't work after changing the bulb. I haven't dug out my meter yet. Occasionally when I switch to high beam, it flickers for a second. This leads me to think it's the switch. What I'm wondering is does current flow from the switch to the fuse box (individual fuses for each headlight) or vice versa?
  13. Thanks for all the input! We finally got it back together last night. The junkyard hub had the lock washer, even though I was told it didn't. I'd been driving around with it for a week, waiting on Nissan... DOH!!! I now have that one, and the one I intend to take back to McDavid since they overcharged me. Truck drives fine, Now I just need to figure out what's wrong with the driver's side headlight. Yes, I changed the bulb.
