  1. Hey Pickles... Congrats on the purchase! Here's a great site with a good instructions on it. http://www.parksoffroad.com/miscinstalls/9...erlockright.htm
  2. Yeah, thats a rule at Paragon. Gotta have a flag at least 1 foot higher than the highest point of the vehicle. That picture was taken January 21, 05. Probably the best picture I have that illustrates the front end of my truck. Oh, wait...I've got another one! This one was taken Dec 3rd, 05 at Paragon. Different part of the park. Check out the lifted tire!
  3. Oh yeah...and not to mention when you're in the middle of nowhere in PA and all that you get on FM is some cheesy easy listening station...and your CD player just took a dump on you...ARGH. :furious:
  4. Better is a subjective term. As far as quality goes, they are about the same...a spring is a spring. The AC 2" lift coils are just that. Coils matched to factory spec with a higher spring rate that net about 2-3" of lift. The OME springs are simply a heavy duty spring which allows you to carry more weight without sagging. They net about 1/2-1" of lift. There are posts in this thread describing the drawbacks of both.
  5. Hey...Welcome again! Nice truck ya got there...
  6. It's only $1.99 a month! And they talk about some pretty sexy stuff on there man. I had XM over the summer at my office and loved it...don't have it in the truck, but this is an excuse to renew my subscription.
  7. Well....something froze and broke inside of my Clarion, and now it wont load CDs... I'm replacing it with this bad boy... Alpine CDA-9855 - It's a beautiful array of styling and audio engineering...I love it! I'm also getting the iPod controller for it and the XM Tuner....nothing better than a little Playboy station on XM while 4wheelin! Just playin!!
  8. I had the PIAA Ion fog bulbs in my factory lenses...and they were great. A word of warning though...PIAA bulbs typically burn out prematurely because they draw more wattage than they are rated for. When the say 85W, they draw 85W, but are only rated for 55W, or thereabouts. In my experience with PIAA bulbs, they only lasted me about 8 months, but then again, I go through a set of tires in 18-24 months...so... I say get a set of Hella 500s and mount them directly to the bumper between the headlights... Like this:

    WTF

Hmm....wierd....I run ZA and McAffee, too....I also run Anti-Spyware and Ad-Aware....haven't seen a damn thing unusual pop up from this site. Must be the triple firewall, and adaptive IP blocking we have set up....
  10. About the same as the Xterra bumper...but you're not in Houston...so...
  11. Look at the dates on the post guys...this is a dug up old post...its from back in March...
  12. Well guys! Shrockworks is game...they just need a template. So, is anyone in the Houston, TX area, and are you willing to leave your pride and joy, 3rd leg, baby with them for about a month so they can work up a bumper? You'll have the honor of being able to say that your truck was used by Shrockworks to develop the bumper and you'll have the FIRST one!
  13. Another consideration when considering a winch is that with a hyraulic winch, since it runs off your power steering system, is if you blow a line, you're not only still stuck, but you have no steering to boot.

    WTF

Something similar happened to my forums...when I tried to alleviate it, the forum software disappeared off my host. However, the DB was still there. Had to reinstall the forum software and everything went back to normal. Now I've got added security on the host and on the forums...
  15. That's your answer to everything, isn't it V6? B hit the nail on the head. There are plenty of budget options to lift your Pathy, and your front end sag is indeed most likely due to worn out torsion bars.
  16. Is it really that hard to include your year, trim and tranny in your techno question posts though?
  17. Ok...Granted this is a Pathfinder Forum, and with the exception of a few of us, most of us don't really tackle the really hardcore stuff. With that said, the chance for rolling your rig is always a possibility. I've layed my Pathy on it's side (well, kinda...it was balancing between the sheet metal and the two drivers side wheels...). I was able to drive out of it, but it scared the living crap out of me and my passenger! I found this link while browsing on XF, thought I'd share... http://www.rockymountainextreme.com/showth...4&highlight=TOD
  18. Did you hold the engine RPMs at 2,000-2,500 until the smoke stopped coming out of the exhaust after doing the seafoam?
  19. OK.....I know that this isn't a Pathy....BUT... To settle your IFS doubts...here's a pic of an IFS Tacoma on 37" ProComp Xterrains. And, to keep the Pathy theme alive...here's a relatively dark picture of a WD21 with 35s. It can be done, it has been done, and with great success.
  20. Hahaha....that part cracked me up! They also forgot to mention that the M30 was available in coupe and convertible form as well. A little more Infniti trivia knowlege. Did you know that the J30 was based off the 300ZX platform? Or the I30 based off the Maxima? The G20 is essentially a reworked Sentra. The only vehicles that Nissan released under the Infiniti nameplate that weren't based off of Nissan vehicles, were the Q45 and the M30 (which, naturally, had the VG30DE).
  21. Actually, the whole idea behind a Diff-Drop type lift is to keep the CV angles as close to 0 as possible. So, in effect, a diff-drop lift will not affect the CV angles at all. Again to use system-f as an example, before he installed his drop lift, he popped 2 CVs at the Arizona Run. Then at last years event, after installing the drop lift, he didn't break a single one, and he was running much harder terrain.
  22. Well...I can only offer my hypothetical lift because I don't have a WD21. I almost had an 89, but that fell through (cries) . Anyways, here's my $0.02. If I was going to lift a WD21, I would most definitely do a Suspension lift over a body lift. I have installed both SLs and BLs and the BL is what I like to call a "bitch-and-a-half." Granted, the body lift only costs $100 or so to buy, but you have to realize that you will spend upwards of 15 hours installing it, modifying various parts to work with the body lift, etc, etc. The amount of work involved with installing a body lift (unless you already have the ground clearance you want, and simply wish to add bigger tires) really isnt worth it in my book. As far as suspension goes, I would install JGC coils, sway-away torsion bars, and lift UCAs (probably the Rough Country or Superlift ones, because I despise Calmini [just check on any Xterra oriented board for Calmini problems, XterraFirma, NEXterra, XOC, etc...]). That setup will give you approximately 3" of suspension lift and allow you to upsize your tires as well.
  23. Nice! I've always liked that pic!
