    This stuff woks great. I use it in every used truck I buy. (3 or 4 year) If you add it to your oil it will clean out sludge and deposits but be advised it thins the oil so driving for any distance can be detrimental. Never heard of anyone pouring it into the cylinders either. follow the directions on the can and you can't go wrong.. You'll smoke out the neighborhood for sure but you'll see a change.

  4. The June issue of 4wheel & Off Road came just yesterday to my mailbox. There I was leafing through the Readers Rides and I saw a familiar Pathy. Props to Dan for getting his truck in the Mag.
  5. I had the Michelin's on my 04. They were a great tire on road/rain and in the sand... Sucked wind in any type of mud. Not bad in the snow- I never got stuck but I didn't run in anything too deep. Way better than the stock duelers (then again I've had drag slicks get better traction than those) They rode quiet and in the 13,500 miles I put on them there wasn't any wear so to speak.
  6. Wholesale aboout 20k retail about 22-24k. Most of the auction data I can grab put about 18-19 on a 2004 with 25k.
  7. Thanks guys!. Living and working in the Detroit area does have some drawbacks... I hate getting stuff stolen but I hate to get it back even more. I had an Audi that was stolen and returned. Never liked the car after it was returned. Never ran right. I made my last post just before heading out for Thanksgiving back east. I was planning to take the truck and do the planned suspension mods out there, do a little shakedown wheeling and head back home. Such is life. The pathy was parked in my driveway. Must have happened sometime between 1 and 5 in the AM. got up to head to work and it was gone... - No the repo man didn't take it. It was paid for. According to the police, the truck was driven into Canada at 8am Monday morning. They have pictures of it going through the tunnel. They don't expect to recover it. I guess there's a market of low mileage pathys in South America. I'm waiting on the Insurance Company (they wait 25 days) to send me a check and it's shopping time !!!

  9. Vengeful hit the nail on the head. I got the idea to try to make a drop in order to keep the cv angles at a minimum and keeping driveline vibration down by not creating a bizarre draftshaft angle. When I get this all sorted out correctly I'll add some pictures. I'm thinking I want to add 35's to the truck But 'm not sure I'll have the room to make it happen without lots of cutting nd while i don't doubt these trucks are durable, IFS front ends are only so strong.
  10. Luckily, I just finished puting my stock tires and rims back on for a trip out east before reading this. Using only the finest Stanley tape measure and a stolen Hello Kitty battery powered lamp from my daughters room, I get 3 and 1/4 inches from the center of the shock bolt to the stock alum rim on the right side and 3 and 1/8 on the left. Give or take a 16th of an inch. this is on an '04
  11. [You're droping the front crossmember that supports the control arms???? I was looking under the Pathy the other day and wondered if that could be done! How are you doing it? I was thinking of welding or bolting a 2x3 thick wall u-channel to the frame, then mounting the original crossmember to that.....More thought, measuring, and drawing is definitely in order.] Yes, I'm essentially adding wedges to put under the support structure of the front cross member. I started with 1 inch bar stock and am slowly adjusting it to tweak the driveshaft angles. So far I've ruined about 6 feet of stock. My plan was to angle the crossmember and drop it at the same time by no more than an inch. I'm not sure how much extra you have on your front crossmember bolts but I have about 1 and 1/2 inches of thread beyond the nut. I was hoping to just get enough of a drop to have about 4inches of front lift. any higher and I might as well do some frame reinforcement and do a coilover shock and solid axle swap.(the other semi-unrealistic direction I have been thinking of) I think L&P was doing what you are thinking of on their lift kit. I have to imagine it's not too difficult to drop the cross member weld up a substructure. The problem will be durabilty with the large tires. As this is the first pathy I've had, I'm not sure how strong the front drivetrain is. -- No offense anyone! -- I know they run forever but with big tires, I'm thinking there might be a reliability issue sooner rather than later.
  12. Very sweet 98 I've been working on shims to drop the front axle assembly and reduce the CV angle. They have proven to be pain to grind and keep the front drive shaft in plane. ( of course with a Milling center it would not have been all that hard.) I got the Alum coil spacers all set. They are 1.75 of an inch. It would have been easier to buy four or five sets of spacers from Rocky Road and sandwich them. I'm thinking of going with the A/C 2 inch coils over the OME. After reading so many for and against about A/C I'm hesitant but I'm hoping the parts are quick to come in. They are going to be ordered tomorrow! Now.. to post pics of all this stuff...
  13. Now we're getting somewhere....... As far as the CV angles are concerned. With the lockouts it should be fine even at full stretch. I think I may have a way to eaze that pain too...
  14. Not to burst all bubbles. But the 2006 xe test mule next door to me has the 6 speed in place with the v-6. According to my neighbor they are considering a stripped XE type with the v6. Living in the Motor City has it's benefits. Now if only they would only go to a live axle set up.....
