you have never heard of vacuum avance? its been used many of times. if the pathy doesnt have it then my bad i havent worked on one in a long time. as far as spark under load rev the engine up a lil and check for spark dont do it to long you could flood the cylinder. i would try to get my hands on a spark tester that way you you dont need to rev the engine.

ha yeah have to be ready for anything. So Has anything changed here in the past year or so

pointing out a few things here just food for thought. higher octane less prone to detonation. use what the manual says to use there in no reasone to use anything higher other than the aditives. also think of this not alot of people use 93 or higher how much longer do you think that gas has been sitting there compared to 85. just my 2 cents

97' Pathfinder, hard to start, no power, surging

check your fuel presure. it sounds like it could be a bad presure regulator possibly. -
i would check your vacuum advance, check for spark under load if possible, and check the ckp

it was some black ice on a dirt road. You guys have alot more member from when i was on here looks like things are going pretty good.

i havent had the time to come back and post up with school and what not, t heres a pic of my pathy that decided to do a flip and died about a year ago thought someone out there might like to see this. it was a hard time letting it go. I hope everyone here is doing well and staying on the trails.

yeah well all i rember of ac was bad service and bad produts if they canged all of the that would rock. i dont think screwing up springs is to easy so i might make her get those. and as far hp yeah i should know but hey thought i would ask.

whats up guys i havent been on here in like 8 months or more. thought i would say hi to everyone. im sad to say i now have a jeep its an 81 cj5 full width axles 14 bolt and a dana44 (going to replace with somthing a lil bigger down the road) with 38" with leafs wich will also been gone with in the next year or so. but the great news is one of my buddys just got an r50 because she loved my pathy so much. my problem is i dont know a whole lot on the r50 other than the basics. what i'm looking to find out is what would best the best and cheapest lift and gain in hp. i dont want to deal with ac for the lift and i going to make her get a k&n. did anyone ever find a cheap lift like the zj coils to wd21 for the r50? well im glad to see all the same faces are still here i will probly be back here more so now due to my friend.

lol yeah i knew about the bolts. i would love to get napas nuber and do that to then maybe ask about some blinker fluid
-
i had such a hard time trying to keep a strait face he thought i was completly stupid and have never been under my rig
-
ok so i went to a local offroad shop to see if they could get me a body lift the guy calls several places and tells me that they only make them for 86-90 and he told me i think you have a unibody and laughed and told him that he was wrong then just for giggles i asked him to see why i couldnt put that lift on my pathy so he called back and they told him that i cant use it cause my stearing in rack and pinnion and that i would either have to cut my firewall or buy a new stearing shaft. (thinking that both these guys are out of there mind) i asked him how much the lift would cost. he wanted 120 for it so that was just my fun trip today
-
yeah. i just really enjoyed the dumb qustion on the r50 if you probly shouldnt start asking questions doing any lift if you havent even looked under rig just my opinion
-
yep lol must say he has a freaking nice rig
