  1. the tape on my inchannel went last year and i've since used construction gloue to put it back on -it's holding great. The only thing i don't like about them is they cut visibility around easy corners. i got them from partsource in canada
  2. ahh gian your pathy is looking serious! I almost like it better than 88's
  3. i don't know if you saw this, but it's worth a read too: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=12585
  4. if you do your steering up, i'd go with the 12.5". you'll probably end up liking them in sand because they're wider
  5. you can carry some spare parts with you to get you home if something breaks. they don't call these things 'partsfinders' for nothing
  6. that would be a great setup for me. I like how my 10.5" cut through snow (can you even find that in new mexico*?) I don't think they would fit without rubbing on my truck because i only have a 3" sus lift. I haven't heard of anyone trying yet so who knows. I do know i'll probally never do a body lift on mine. I was thinking of getting 32"x11.5" but those would look kinda funny on your truck after you do the body lift. Im not 100% but i think you should get 15x10 wheels for 33x12.5 tires as opposed to an 8 inch wheel for the 10.5" tires that will probably make a difference in wear and tear on your steering, but if you upgrade, i guess it'll be fine. Judging by your pictures, it looks like you drive a lot in sand. I've never driven on it before, but I hear wider tires are better in those conditions. I guess it mostly comes down to what you drive on most of the time. what's the difference in price between them? it can't be that much. and where do you get that tk1 steering from? i need to do my centerlink too
  7. That's a nice bumper you've got going on there. I would put the tire in the center as well. The only think i can think of that bothers me about that setup is trying to get a trailer on the hitch with a big tire stuck on there, but i suppose you could always use a drop hitch... make sure you can still get the hi lift out even if you can't open the carrier. It would suck if something was blocking the tire carrier from opening, preventing you from getting at your jack when you need it the most. cant wait to see it when you've finished
  8. i'm saving enough money to get the sway-away t-bars from steve's rugged rocks company. I think he's selling them the cheapest on the intrawebs at $125 or so.
  9. rainx is awesome. i highly recommend it :cool2:
  10. probably the air vents to rear passenger hvac unless he relocated the ecu, but i doubt he'd do that to put an alarm in it's place
  11. Did you notice a difference betweet your old 10.5" tires and your new tires in deep mud? I would think the skinnier tire would perform better on muddy trails while the wide one would work better in a bottomless pit of mud.
  12. i've got them on mine. Grey leather seats with heaters on both the driver and passenger side. They don't work nearly as well as the ones that come in Audi A4's, but they are decent. I'd rather have some nice, stinky, cushy sheepskin seatcovers. You could drive to work naked in february with those

    4wd issue

First put the transmission in neutral, and with the truck stopped, you will need to push down on the t-case gear selector lever while it's in neutral. After you've done that, it should click into 4-lo. At least that's how it works on my vehicle. I shouldn't need to tell you that tearing around in the snow in 4-lo isn't good for your drivetrain. Save that for 4-hi. :secret:
  14. nice bar, although I do like the polished raw steel finish of the old one. did you lose a hella in that fender bender?
  15. put a thin layer of anti-seize compund (silver goo in a grey tub) on the threads of the plug before installing them. That way you can pretty much guarantee it won't happen again. That also happened to me once, only the entire ceramic core of the plug came out leaving only the threaded part in the head. I used an extractor too and it came right out. I use an short extension and an elbow fitting on my socket to get the #6 plug out. It's good to hear you send some compressed air down the holes where the plug sit prior to removing the old ones; dirt and grit loves to accumulate down those holes and as soon as you take the old plug out, all that crud falls into the combustion chamber which isn't good.
  16. i think you can get stainless lines to replace the rubber ones, but i'm not sure if any of the other brake lines between the caliper and the booster are made of rubber. It would be a waste of money if there are.
  17. nice setup fishead! How much does that outboard weigh? I've added a CB antenna and a single reverse light hooked up to a switch in my console. I give the carrier a good scrub with the wire brush and a couple coats of paint every two years to keep it looking nice and black. I would like to move the spare to my roof because the carrier really weights down the back of my truck and gives it a baja stance, even with my aftermarket coils.
  18. yeah, if i had that kind of money you'd see a cayman s in my driveway
  19. aside from the wheels that thing is fugly
  20. hahaha cb's are so much fun
  21. hey that worked out well for you. I bent a bracket and drilled a hole through the plate in the top right corner of my tire carrier and bolted it to that. You might find the built in speaker a little hard to hear when the radio is stuck in the dash. I bought and external speaker from a surplus store for 4.99 and mounted it right above my knee between the steering column and the bulkhead (you can barely see it in the picture I posted.) I can hear the radio great now. I tried using an old car alarm horn for a p.a. speaker, but it doesn't work. i havent had the time to get under there with the voltmeter and see if it even gets any juice. The horn tested fine when i bought it from the junkyard, but maybe it's not correctly matched for the radio. You should get your SWR tested once a year to make sure you don't burn out the radio. I took mine to a local cb shop and he did it for free since i bought the antenna from him. Sometimes the little tuning rings on the antenna move around. I got the radio off ebay for 50 bucks. <<rubber ducky, over and out>>
  22. mine fit in there, although i think the console is bigger on the 95's. that's a uniden pc-122 in there i mounted a 5 foot steel whip antenna on the tire carrier and i can pick up a guy 40 km away in the middle of the city on the side band. the highway gets better range yet
