  1. Something stupid and simple. Check your plug wires. Just open the hood at night with the engine running. If you see a pretty light show then that is what it is. It happen to me.
  2. No I did not want to tear it up until i knew it could be replaced. the fsm said nothing about these switches. And how do you know if your truck came with remote entry or not? Thanks.
  3. Has anyone ever replaced a door switch on a wd21? If so tell me how you did it. I have been all over that truck and can't figure out how to get it out. I even checked the fsm but it dosn't say a thing about how to get them out. Help!
  4. Does anyone know where to get a re-man trans of the same type?
  5. Thanks guys.Ya'll are the biggest help. I pbed them yesterday and they didn't budge to day.So Isoad them again and will try again tomorrow. Thanks
  6. Ithink I should reindex them I only have about 1/2" to 3/4" of bolt left on the adjusters. I guess someone before me ajusted them and I don't think I should bottom them out. And thanks ya'll ,even the basics help a lot.
  7. I have searched and read just about evey post in the how tos. And can't find anything on indexing t-bars. I want to do the jgc sping lift but I know that the t-bars will need to be indexed. HELP. :help:
  8. I locked my finder in 4wd lo to move a tree that fell on the house after a bad storm and all four wheels spun. Does that mean there are locker in it and how do I find out if they are factory without taking them out??? Stupid, so I had to ask.
  9. A gallon of Jack Daniels. What else could a guy need. -bounce-
  10. Thanks! It got really frustating tring to find aftermarket parts for this thing. But since finding out about this site everything has gotin clear. So a million thank to ya'll. OH. Merry christmas!
  11. I just read this post and had to chime in. I was a trucker for 5 years and now I am a truck mechanic and I am a big radio operator. and everything ya'll said about the swr meters are correct. But the ones from radio shack for $9.00 are fine for small radios. I tried to get my pc 78 in the whole where the factory cd player and it would not fit ,as far as external speaker placement, mount it on the map lights on the ceiling you can hear it good and it is out of the way. Swrs are tuned by length so top loaded antennas are the easyest to tune. but remember fiberglass breaks easy if it is cold it is worse. And make sure you have a good wave length,3/4 to a full wave is all I will run, but I only run a 4 foot stainless sping mounted and 18 foot of coax and usally there are no adjustments needed. If anyone need anything I have books and extra part and a few extra radios just let me know.
  12. Just a couple of questions. AC? UCA? FEA? And other than calmini, who makes a sl for the wd21. I see them for x-teras and hard bodys but never for my truck. A good list of places to get these things would help. Every thing I have owned before was chevy and parts are easy find.
  13. I sent a parts requst yesterday for a h233b with factory lockers and disc brakes and got 7 e-mails from companys that have them. the cheapest was $325-$350 with warrant (1 year). If interested pm me. I dont know how to link yet. And I will get back to you tomorrow.I have to get up early to finish CAT rebuild. So good night and good luck.
  14. If you google the type of rear you have you will get an endless amount of lockers that will fit. I found out by mistake just what is out there by googling h233b. But I also have a '95.
  15. I found D.O.T. steel braided break lines at the local parts store. I will probably go with them.
