There is a hood with scoop for the D22/WD22. There used to be one for the D21 but is is discontinued.

I cant say for your state, here in TX it should pass if the tires have enough tread regardless of how lifted or lowered it is.

You should have a tap screw and a grommet. The problem people often run into is the grommet is spinning with the screw when you rotate it so you are not loosening anything no matter how much you turn.. If you can...lift the front of the console up, take a flashlight and some long long pliers or (small helper hands) grab the grommet and hold it while rotating the screw.

How deep did you get? Did water get into the vehicle? I dont see the computer being anything to do with it based on what you are describing. For the starter..... check up in the relays up by the passenger side wheel wheel. See if the relays are wet on the inside or if the connections have corroded. Is the beep coming from under the seat? I had this happen to me I would hear beeps and the doors would lock then unlock themselves. The truck will do this when you try to lock the doors if to you from locking the keys in the truck if it isnt in park with the engine off. I fixed this by cleaning the door locks-the tublers inside were not it the correct position fully from 15 years of crud in them. The vehicle will also not let you lock doors if the door is open and the vehicle running. Check the door pins to see if they are wet/muddy, etc.

You are right, missed that we were talking driver side.... But are not NZ vehicles right hand drive?? But even then if it is driver side it would not matter, the AC drain would be on the passenger (left in this case) side.... so I would still be wrong! LOL

HAve you been running the AC or the defroster? If so.....Clogged AC drain

If I recall correctly specs are 45-52 psi @ 2500 RPM.

It could be bad. Pull it off and see if it has a hard buildup on it. That would be an easy way to tell. It isnt an expensive part.

Funny....I had a guy in first thing this morning with a check valve on his Maxima that he broke. PART NUMBER 17370-89900 VALVE ASSY-FUEL The top hose goes to the top of the fuel tank. Hope that helps.

The one with the fuses behind the panel on the driver's side dash.... That is the 'super multiple junction'. Or so Mr. Nissan calls it....

Some of this sounds very similar to another topic going on currently: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=22015 However I would be inclined to the stalk connetors on the steering column first. Check the connections first for corrosion or loose connections first. Fuse poping comes from a ground making a connection to a hot wire where it should not. That is either a bad exhaust manifold or worn hydralic lifter. Common complaints. Mostly just annoying. Do a forum seach for more on this.
