OMG!

P0440 is small evap leak. It is most likely caused by P1448 which is the canister control valve. Fix 1448 and 0440 should go away. Teh bad control valve will effect mileage.

1) Does the vehicle only act up when you have a passenger with you? 2) Have you seen the movie 'Christine'?

I talked to a guy locally I was selling some part to a while back when I was thinking of doing this who used 'Eastman's Chassis Black' paint. That was the brand name. He even still had the can. It came out very very very nice in a semi gloss color. He worked on small aircraft and said they used it alot on the planes because it was chip and wear resistant which made a lot of sense when I started thinking about it. He also used an industrial spray gun to apply it. I ended up just chroming mine and using rustoleum black on the triangle center caps. Primer black base coat. Then two coats of semi-gloss black to match the fender flares and then a clear coat. That was two years ago and still no chipping, cracking etc on the caps.

You will need a thermister, wiring harness, blower motor, amplifier, heater case, etc. The automatic uses all sorts of servos down there under the dash that are completely different between the manual and auto AC system.

Nissan redesigned or got a different manufactuer for all three canisters used for the R50 with a manufacturing date of 7/96 - 01/00 because the charcoal was causing too many problems.

Anything is possible with enough time and money. I saw a guy put his car through the front windows of a grocery store once with one.

You will not find the fog lamps for this model in the repair manual. Check the inline fuse near the battery as previously stated. Check the relay for the lamps. It is on the passenger side firewall near the wiper motor.

Your borther is correct. Could be bad IACV-ACC Valve and/or regulator. Only one way to find out really though and thats replace which is a half day project. It is located on the back driver side of the engine near the firewall. The cone shaped part back there pointing up is the regulator, underneath is the valve. loose wire/connector at the MAF.

Second GrimGreg. If not some ideas that poped in my head: 1) Could be the calipers moving some. 2) Also worn swaybar bushings/ not tighened properly can also make a noise. 3) Worn control arm bushing(s). 4) Worn/loose shock bushings upper or lower. Both can make a similar sound and come from the same general area as the hubs. On the bushings, it may just be the cold temps combined with age. If you back up out of a driveway and then go forward you shift these parts back then forward...so anythign worn or improperly tightened can make some noise from the weight shift. Just a few ideas.

I agree, this fuse popping sounds like a grounding problem to me. I only have a wiring diagram for a 95. I dont see a green/orange wire but I do see a green/red. Green/red is a power wire. So if it is the same your are grounding to a power wire.

As stated the owners manual specifically states to come to a full stop, put in reverse and roll one full rotation of the wheel to disengage the 4wd. Yes it will disengage without doing this most of the time, but it is not the 'proper' way to do it.

I think you got them backwards...... A is the outer tie rod. C is the tension rod.

The more surface the rotor provides for the brake pads to grab onto, the greater the breaking ability. One needs to keep in mind that slotted and drilled rotors are hard to impossible to turn if damaged or warped. Hard to get a lathe to cut them.

I would add to make sure it will pass emissions if you have that in your state. This model has 2 cats. Can get pricey if they both need replacement.
