Well, I might have figured it out. Looks like it came out of a 94-96 model A32B Maxima. I ran accross this in a diagram looking for something else this morning.

My concern on all these new vehicles is if it would cause uneven fading of the paint over time on a new vehicle, especially down here in TX. I guess time will tell.

Most interesting. Never seen anything like this. I wonder if it has a part number on it stamped on the back. There are aftermarket kits that can make your pathy woodgrain, or chrome, or whatever you want really.

Make sure to get new O rings for the injectors, dont reuse the old ones!

I blew my window amplifier this past summer. Driver window would not go up or down. It took me a while to figure out that was the problem, then I felt dumb because I knew better based on all the information I was getting from teh multimeter. I guess the 115 degree heat had fried my brain that day chasing electrical problems.

I would add: The vehicle ECU will store any error codes for a designated period of time. Best time is to check it as soon as possible after it makes the check engine light come on.

that was exactly what I was thinking as I read this, you unknowingly juggled the wires. Terrano92 also gives some great advice, rotate it 90 degrees to the left and you shoudl be golden.

Yep, I agree with the above. Also concour with snugging up the oil pan bolts. Check both these out first and see if it fixes the problem.

Yep, it does exist and it is for racing applications, it is a universal application kit IIRC. I hope none of us are driving pathys on tracks at 150 mph..... They also once had one for the oil pan, that always seemed more interesting..... And if you want to be really cool you can get a temp sensor for you differential as well. (yes, they have one that fits in the filler hole.)

The techs probably ment you were off by 2.5 degrees not inches. They dont know how to read their own machine! If you were off 2.5 inches you would be shredding tires every month and it would mean you have bent a control arm and it would be noticable damage! Shims are not a fun process, it can take several hours to get it right, its very nerve racking, and they simply dont want to mess with it. Furthermore they will not have the shims on hand to do the job as they tend to be specific to each vehicle and passenger vehicles made after the mid 90's do not need them so the demand is low. Any tech under the age of 30 probably doenst know how to do it anyways, or even know what you are talking about. The shims come in sizes ranging from 0.5 to 4mm. Furthermore, if you are thinking or doing a lift on the truck, or replacing the contol arms or ball joints in the near future, dont worry about it.

wiring has gotten crossed somewhere....I am wondering if it is from the factory alarm since it flashes the front and read marker lamps when it is armed and disarmed.

I would think the resistor is incorrect.

On this vehicle experience has taught me that if one goes, the other is not very far behind......
