Check your coolant level. Sometimes air pockets can develop when you drain/refill the radiator. So the level is fine when you fill it up after putting it back together, then after running the vehicle awhile the air pocket moves out of the system.

It is a total PITA to replace just the switch. I had mine totaly fry last summer. HINT: Get the entire climate control assembly. It comes with a new fan switch already installed, it costs some $8 more than the switch by itself and you have to take the control unit out anyways to get the fan switch replaced. So you get a new fan switch and control unit at the same time for almost the same price.

The sensor for the AC is different than the one for the digital thermometer on the roof, but they are right next to each other. Shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send you the diagrams to help you out.

I just looked up this part and nearly fell out of my chair at the price.....(List of $358.03) At least it includes new upper and lower gaskets.......

The WD21 used a Tokico 1" cylinder after 07/90 and a Tokico 15/16" from 08/87 to 07/90 There were 4 different 15/16 used. Looks like the difference is the seals inside. The changes are with 4cyl or V6 and auto or manual trans. (the variations changes the vehicle weight)

For a WD21 the front calipers break down as follows: production date 07/86 to 08/88 production date 08/88 to production end

Hi James, There are three sensors your auto AC vehicle uses to maintain the temperature. 1) There is an ambient temperature sensor mounted up front on the dadiator support. 2) There is the sun sensor mounted on the dash near the passenger side corner. 3) There is an in cabin temp sensor mounted to the right of the steering column. Of the three, the 3rd one is the one I see failing most often, and it failing fits the symptons you describe. It is also the least expensive of the 3 sensors.

Last part of your owners manual covers the vehicle warranty. Your seatbelts have a lifetime warranty against defects. They will replace them for free. They will not replace them if you cut them with a knife/scissors, or your dog chewed it in half. Also, unless your service advisors has been around for awhile, they may not know the seatbelts are covered. The WD21 interior color codes were: B = Blue R = Red K = Grey A = Maroon

The vehicle headliner is divided into two seperate parts, a front and rear part. The joint between the two is under the padded center roof garnish where the front dome light mounts. Maroon is color code is A. Red is code R. There are two basic grades, the DX/X/E/XE and the SE/LE grade headliners. SE/LE are soft velour. The others are not. To get the speakers holes above you will need a rear headliner made after 07/92.

manual AC has levers, auto has buttons. It should not do anything if you plug a relay in there. There is no switch on the other end to complete a circuit and open/close the relay.

No automatic air Conditioning = no relay.

IIRC, if the hazard switch is unplugged, the turn signals will not work. (same circuit)

Does you vehicle have an alarm system? I know a while back when I messed around with the connectors to mine in the steering column I accidentaly pulled one out of the quick connects up in there and had no lights at all. Check the ground fo rthe headlamps. Check the relay box on the right side firewall for loose/corroded connections underneath and the fusable links and their connectors inside the box are clean. (might want to disconnect the battery for this) Check for bad spots on the wiring harness, frayed/chewed, etc.

I would strongly recommend against doing so. With out the sensor the ABS system in the rear will not work and the ABS light will be on.
