I greased mine with my pneumatic grease gun and they still did not have a spec of grease in the bushings. For the year that i had it installed i was pushing in the mobile one grease (it is Red) and when I tore it apart there was only a small bit of red grease mixed into the yellow grease that was there from factory. When I installed the Bandit bushings the first grease (only took 3 presses on the grease gun) and the grease came out the bushings. Now I know there is grease in them. I would definitely get the bandit 4x4 bushings instead of the sending the IA to Calmini for bushings. I was planning on doing the spherical bearing mod (I even ordered the parts) but decided to try the bandit bushings first, as once I did the mod for the spherical bearings I could not go back to bushings. Aftermarket set of bushings for calmini IA are available. These have grease channels as the stock Calmini Bushings Have no Channels. My keys I got from the dealer were definitely better quality than the ones you get from the local hardware store. The were nice heavy with rubber heads, They were not Nissan keys though.

Actually the filters are further from the transmission than they look in the photo. If it was really that close I would not be able to remove the filter cause as I unthread the filter it would hit the transmission. Also I ran 2 smaller filters initially, now I am running one stock pathfinder filter an a small one. I plan on using a ph8 and a small filter in the future. I already had bought a bunch of stock pathfinder filters so I want to use them up. Still have plenty of room from the transmission. I have been running this for well over a year and have not had any issues with it. Not a scratch scuff or dent in either filter. In this place it is actually further from exhaust and the wheels than the stock position. Mark

I would call around to some other nissan dealers. A couple of years ago I went to my local dealer with the x code off my glove box. He said he just needed the VIN. I told him I would come by the next day and pick them up. He quoted me 20 bucks each. When i came by to pick them up the next day Another guy was there and he gave them to me. I asked where I pay for them at, He said don't worry about it. So I got them for free. And they both worked flawless in my truck. Copies of copies will eventually get off enough to cause problems. The ones that came with my 2nd hand truck was an old copy and thrashed. I had to wiggle it in all the locks to get it to work. I agree. I purchased a lifetime alignment package from firestone. They have the computerized alignment rack and most of the younger generations just do what the machine tells them. The first time i took it in it was not right I brought it back to them and it still was not correct. The third time I went in and talked to the manager. I expected the whole we can't put that many shims in speech. I was ready to tell them That i put in longer bolts and could fit more shims and if they did not want to put that many shims in to let me know how many and where to put them and i would put them in myself. The guy (old guy) said he would do the alignment himself and see what he could do for me. When I went to pick it up he said it was all done and showed me the print out of the alignment. It was only slightly off the numbers and it drove perfectly. I only got it done correctly cause they knew I would keep bringing it back until it was right and they were not going to get any more money out of me. Which reminds me I need to bring it in since it has been almost 2 years since the alignment. Need to make sure everything is still good. Mark

Man I must have been really Lucky. Mine Came off with little effort. I rented a pitman arm puller from autozone to remove it. It came right off. I even had to put it back on again cause calmini sent me the wrong size pitman arm. Hopefully some soaking a brute force will remove it. Mark

I sent them a few emails about 2 weeks ago reguarding Idler arm bushings, I got no response from them. You are probably going to have to call and they will not have any clue about the email. I ending up finding someone making new better designed bushings for the Calmini Idler arm. So I did not follow up the email with a phone call. My guess is you will have a hard time persuading them to replace it since you are not the original purchaser. However I wish all the luck to you. Mark

I generally get a feeling when a tool is going to give. (or at least prepare myself) But sometimes you get pissed when working on your junk and lose you head, that is when I normally start damaging myself. A few times I stopped while working on something and said that thing is going to break. Then I go gram the real tool. I have even broke the good stuff. That is when I get torqued (pardon the pun)

Yep. only flaw with my rule is they have to break on me first before I get the quality ones. So I only will "punch the concrete once pr tool" If I know it is going to be a stubborn part I will grab the quality tool to start with. Again you use tools for a ling and have probably broken more that your fair share. I don't use mine that much. so I go cheap. I do appreciate a quality tool when I see it / use it.

Unfortunately it is email only list. So you have to have a vehicle registered with there site to get a list of everything clearance. However all the parts that are clearenced will also show up when you browse the year make and model through there web site , it is just every other part is as well. but the clearance parts are designated clearance.

Every time I see a thread about bilsteins I have to post this photo. all though yours my be a more durable line. I replaced them with ranchos and have not had a problem yet. I think my next ones may be old man emu's

Here is my stance on HF tools. I am a cheap A$$ But I will not waste money twice. I have every basic tool (multiples set in each vehicle and a set in the house and a set in the garage) They are all mid grade HF tools. I have a set of Husky (home depot in the garage). along with a bunch of Misc Snap on and craftman, mac tools. When I need a new tool I buy one from HF. If it breaks I exchange it for a new one and keep it for light jobs and Then I go straight for a Snap on or a craftsman. I am well ahead on costs from the broken ones to the money I saved buying cheap after buying the craftsman/ snap-on tools. Just in case you guys do not know HF was Lifetime In-store exchange for there Hand tools. That alot of the time does not mean squat if the tool keeps breaking cause it is not worth the hassle of taking in after breaking it each time you use it. That being said I have 3 HF torque Wrenches. I have a friend with some craftman Beam style torque wrenches. Evry so Often I check my Hf ones to his craftman wrenches and they have not been more than 2-3 lbs off. After a quick adjustment they satay perfect for a while. If you guys are using the clicker torque wrenches a good rule to keep them calibrated longer is to not store them set to a torque setting. Store them loosened and adjust them each time before use and loosen them after use. I found that if I left them set they were more off when I checked them. Some of HF tools have not broken yet, That does not mean that they are not Crap, It just means I have not used them much or have not pushed them to the limit. when they break they get the free exchange and then they go on lite duty and I buy the Premium Brand tool. Keep in mind I do not depend on my tools for business. If I did, My views would be a lot different Just My 2 cents, Probably not worth it.

I put the fans out of a 88 nissan maxima on mine and have one fan puls width modulated and the other it the High temp/AC fan. I had another adjustable fan controller on mine and it failed. Even while it was working I had some problems with cooling just like you described. I can Have my truck idle in my front yard for hours in 110 degree weather and the temp stays right where is should. I have been running this new controller for a little over a year now. At low temps you cannot even hear the fan running. Let me know if you want to see pics of the fan mod Mark

Ok, to set the record straight. The Guys we met in Hollister bought this pathfinder from the guys who did this in this video for $172.58 (it was all they could scrape up between the four of them). It did not run when they bought it, they towed it to their ranch right around the corner from Hollister hills. however all they did to get it running again was charge the battery replace the alternator and it fired right up. The guys who bought it are using it around there property to move things around and do other chores with it. ranch right around the cornet from Hollister hills. The Pathfinder still runs to this day. If we had actually met the Aholes who did this we certainly would not have been as civil as we were to them. Mark

I see your point. However even cheesy cards is better than handing a person some illegible chicken scratch that I would write down on a napkin to let them know about a forum they could use to learn about there truck. I have told people about the forum and tried to give them the name to look up on their computer. Always ends in confusion and never seen them join the forum. It is up to the members to decide whether they want to hand them out. I guess we could try handing them out and if it starts to yield negative input we could stop.

Personally I was thinking of giving it to the person. I generally do not have much time to chat with people when I am out so a quick card to give to someone would be great. I also thought about putting them on their truck but I don't like flyers on my truck, and I have thought though it someone put something like a club I would be interested in that would be cool. However some people look at there pathfinders as just a means of transportation and could care less about a club, so to those people it would be just like the spam flyers. Unfortunately there is no way to know what type a person they are until you chat with them. so I would be in favor of giving them the card, and just say " I notice you drive a pathfinder. there is a online forum with a lot of info, in case your interested" These cards if used the wrong way could negatively effect the club if they are viewed as spam put on someones windshield. I would probably only leave a card on a truck if it was an obvious offroader. But I think they are all already a member LOL
