And Takes forever. I ordered some rear sway bar disconnects and it took 3 weeks to get to me.

Ok. I am not crazy. It turns out that This problem occurred when I replaced all my signal bulbs with LEDs. I will have to experiment with pulling them out and testing that my cruise starts working properly. I have a feeling that it also has to do with my trailer wiring since it has to combine the brake lights and the turn signals into one. so I will have to test removing the diode pack for the trailer wiring. This is probably a combination of both the LED's and the Diode pack. I will have to weight whether this slight cruise control problem is worth removing the leds/removing the diode pack. I hardly use the cruise control anyways and I generally do not change lanes a lot when I am using cruise. If I have to change lanes a lot then I probably should not be using my cruise control to begin with. The fact that it took someone else to discover the problem tells me that I can live with this little issue. I am still curious as to what is making this happen so i will investigate and probably put it back and live with it. Mark

Just ran across these at my local 4wheelparts store. If the store has them in stock they are the same price there. But if you do not have a store near you you can order them online. They are on sale for 29.99 and ship free this weekend only. Get them while they last. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Tire-Def...;t_pn=S%2fB2723

Ok then something is obviously screwy with mine. I will be sure to post up when and if I find out what is wrong. I think I would have noticed this if it had been going on for 6 years. I think it must have just started happening. Being in California I don't get a chance to use my cruise control that often. Mark

Mine is a 1991 and it is on the column with the turn signal. well if someone can confirm that has the same year that would help before I go tearing it apart to fix a problem that is not broken. Mark

WOW! glad I am not the only one who has not noticed this.. Or perhaps mine is messed up for some reason. Give a post back and let me know if yours exhibits the same behavior. Mark

Well I have had my pathfinder for about 2 years and the pathfinder before that for 4 years and I never noticed this. My friend drove my pathfinder the other night and he said he thought there was something wrong with my cruise control. When he used the turn signal the cruise control would cancel. Under further investigation if you have the turn signal on the cruise will not set. This is obviously a feature but for the life of my I don't know why. And I guess I am one of those A-holes who do not signal on the freeway otherwise I would have discovered this years ago. Anyone else know about this?

I agree when you are talking about a front locker. If you have a rear ARB Air locker you are either locked or open. I only use the front locker as recovery equipment. The rear I usually will leave locked for the duration of the wheeling trip. AS Stated many times on this forum OPEN DIFFS SUCK!!!

Keep in mind there is doing the rubicon and doing the entire rubicon. (not using bypasses) Not to say I will be not using the Bypasses, LOL however others in the group may choose not to use the bypasses. I read his report on the trip. It is my main basis (confidence) in going.

thanks for the advice. the guys are scheduling this around the jamboree. I am not really stock (except I am still ifs in the front) and only have 32" tires. I don't expect this to be a cakewalk, I am hoping to be helped out with some good spotting by some guys who have already been here a few times.

It is uc4x4 (under construction 4X4) mostly full size broncos. But there are jeeps, blazers ect as well.

was raining so I decided not to tear one apart that day. There was a couple out there though. Oh well Next time.

Well I have committed myself to doing the Rubicon this august. I am currently going with about 10 other Vehicles of different variety on a local Wheeling Forum. I was wondering if there would be any other Nissans willing to come along so I am not the only Nissan there. I will share more details if there is any interest. Mark

I was at the local pick n pull yesterday and saw two trucks with the rear headliner speaker setup. The headliner was ripped off both trucks. I looked it over pretty carfully and it looks like the sheet meta is a bolt in peice. Not sure if it will bolt in or how hard it would be to bolt in a truck that did not have it. I would have picked one up if i had found one with a good headliner. It is on my radar next time I go to pick n pull (today if the weather cooperates) Mark

you would not be braking in cv's unless you were in 4WD

Enjoi, You know I got to thinking about your CV joint. I Think the reason it failed is because it was a new cv joint and had not been broken in yet. (btw I don't think both of your CV's were replaced) When I replaced both of mine with new Cvs when i went to toighten the bolts on the seccond Cv (car front end up in the air and suspension at full droop) I could not turn the tire. when I then put the jack under the tire of the first cv and jacked it up just a litte the other tire would start to spin. Turns out wehn brand new the cv binds at full droop. Now after about 10k miles both spin at full droop. so I think that is what happened to your cv joint. I think if you could have put some more miles on it after it was replaced it would have been fine. Or perhaps the cv was defective and bound up when it should not have. I have not heard anything about a recommended break-in period on cv joints. This is just a theory based on what I experienced on mine. Mark

Who is the Street Princess??? I did not see any of them on our trip?

I tried to organize something like that when I first joined the board. Now I don't have much to work on. I have 2 small projects left to do on my truck. we would need to have a place to do the mod days. as well. It would be nice if it was to be centralized location to us all. Mods days are a great idea with the cost of mechanics and tools and such. We could all save a ton of money and those who don't know much can learn a little about there trucks. I agree we don't go wheeling enough. I was even thinking of going to frank raines this weekend. But I have stuff I need to get done around the house that I put off for the last 2 weekends. Once a month sounds great, however I don't see it happening. It is hard enough to organize a trip let alone a monthly one. I will definitely push for its success though. Mark

I drive by Carnegie every day on my way home. They put some rocks in, and a little obstacle course that goes up the side of the mountain. it still kinda blows. Frank raines is much better but still not as good as hollister. Both Frank raines and carnegie is about 40 mins from me. There is alot of really steep hills not usable by us 4 wheelers. I don't see many trails to drive around on either. You will probably find it is not worth trailering your vehicle to. I think you could probably keep yourself busy there for about 30 mins and then you will get bored and go home.
