  1. Don't worry, it's not like we get paid as if we had one! Sorry you had a bad experience. You are talking to the right technician, but I'm on the other side of the country!
  2. Yes! Especially when you are up close too it!
  3. It was quite impressive when she belched out a bit a few years ago! I have seen lots and lots of stuff on St. Helens, bit was too young and lived in another state when she blew. Volcanos are extremely interesting to me. Did lots of crap in school on them. Mt. Adams this summer too...
  4. First of all, Welcome! So the engine cranks over, but doesn't start? Or the engine doesn't crank and you hear a spinning noise?
  5. Shot this near the end of the Mr. Jim run 2, of Mt Rainer..... We were up above he cloud line...
  6. Sounds like a bad ground possibly. Got back to the tail light and check how much voltage is at the power wire and at the ground wire for the tail lamp socket. You will need to do this with the lights on. If there is voltage on the ground side, something is wrong. Also, double check that the right bulb is installed and not damaged or anything.
  7. They might, if you ask. They rent tools, so anything is possible.
  8. All the rambling you do? Seems like the right age! Ha! Have a good one!
  9. Order one for a 94 maxima, with a SOHC engine. I just put one in myself. All you have to do is swap the pulleys. Everything else is plug and play
  10. Thanks! I loved that thing and it was tough to let it go. I traded in at chaplains subaru and it went to a pot lot dealer in snohomish. I can only assume it's still rolling around north if seattle somewhere. It did get painted back to factory color at one point after I sucked up a porcupine in the front bumper. To my surprise, factory color was a very dark blue, almost black. Years of not taking care of the paint left it, what I would say is, a root beer brown when I first got it. I spent a whole weekend shortly after that photo cleaning and polishing the wheels. They look white, but were actually chrome. I kept that paint as smooth as glass all the time. The interior was a beige tweed. Man I miss it.
  11. I really haven t ran through that many vehicles, believe it or not. But, I do miss a few of them and I keep an eye on craigslist and stuff to see if they show up. First, was actually my second car, which was my moms, which became my brothers, then to me, then to my other brother. Ya lost yet? Ok, that vehicle was a 81 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe deVille. Sorry no pictures. Can't say I took many of them. It had that retarded 8-6-4 system, that of course didn't work. But dang it looked good! Had a dark maroon pain job that was redone in the early 90's, and a white vinyl half top. Perfect white leather seats and dark maroon carpet. I had big plans for it, but I gave it up to help my brother when he was building his house. Oh well. Second was my 1984 Mustang 2.3l turbo. Yes, a non-so turbo car. 5-speed, 8.8 trac lock(?) rear end. It was my first car. My moms boyfriend painted it black for me as the red paint job was in poor shape. I drove that thing to Phoenix and back, and then had to make a tough decision. Kept it and fix it up? Or buy a different car I really wanted... This is the mustang next to my 91 300zx n/a 2+2. I love the way the 2+2 looks being a touch longer. I did some goodies to it. Lowered it with eibach springs, stilled camber kit, glass packs(which made it sound like a F1 car), CAI and bypassed all the Bose stuff in favor of kenwood speakers. Man that was a fun car! It had the t-tops off whenever I could. I drifted that thing long before drifting was popular. I traded it in for my pathfinder. He is one of my favorites..
  12. Something similar happened to mine a few years ago. Ended up being the ECCS relay(damage that I didn't know about+moisture=failed relay. It's in the right fender relay bank. Oh, when it doesn't start, does it crank over or just click? Manual or auto trans?
  13. Time, money and metal. You have them, you can make it work.
  14. All members who haven't voted for truck of the year, SHOULD DO IT NOW!

  15. Hey, the ones that didn't get crushed and are still running. I see a few around here from time to time. I missed buying one by ( ) that much! If they are still going, what does that tell you?
  16. Here ya go... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/12828-how-to-change-your-timing-belt/
  17. Depends on the wear. Inner? Outer? Center? How's your alignment? Has the rear diff been service at all?
  18. What, those things are sweet! I would totally own one! Some upgrades to the cooling system and p/s system and your good to go! Or swap on a sr20 like they do in other countries.
  19. Well, just because you asked.... Bumpers, yes. ARB style, no. Tube bumpers with a winch plate would be sweet. Tube, stinger, whatever you want to call it. Like trailgear makes for toyota. Not so much weight and cost would be less. Oh, and a coil sas kit(no leafs). Again, just cause you asked.
  20. Permatex orange(hi-temp silicone), pretty much same as factory.
  21. As far as the converters, what happens is that they begin to crumble, or a screw makes it through the cylinder and embeds itself into the cat, and it no longer works properly. In doing this, the o2 sensors read incorrectly. They tend to fatten up the mixture and wash the cylinders, loosing compression. Usually the giveaway is that the oil smells like fuel. Yes, I've have done hundreds of Altima and sentra motors for this same problem. I have also replaced several cats on G35's who collapsed and created the same issue( replacing the cats usually fixed it). On those, the PVC system is built into the valve cover gaskets and they would stick open and suck the oil down. Replaced the valves over gaskets, spark plugs and performed a induction service and got them to reseal the rings and stop oil consumption. I know it sucks, but ya gotta take some things apart and inspect.
  22. Yes, the work, but not very bright. I was going to run them for a few days and hope for some fog to see how they do. Nice clean white light though.
  23. Installed LED fog light bulbs. Well, the jury is still out as far as how bright and useful they are
