  1. Well, for the cost of the boot kit(you will need both), you can just get a remanufactured axle. Some companies offer a lifetime warranty with them. Either way, the brake components need to come off and the front knuckle removed. Unbolting the axle and bolting the new one in is not very difficult. You will need a few special tools, btu none super hard to find. There are several write-ups in the garage section. I have one as well and will go find the link. Here is mine. Yes it's on a wd, but r50's aren't much different.. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=28120
  2. Does it do it under hard throttle? Or light and gradual to full?
  3. Nissan has a repair kit and its a piece of cake to install. It's not that much either. Talk to Rob(Alkorahil)
  4. Pull the blower motor out and look up. Clean everything with a strong cleaner(Pinesol works well). A mirror will be helpful. Shouldn't of thrown it too far. Some of the ducting can be pulled out with removing the dash.
  5. Yeah, there are places that can help you out. Here is a link to one... http://www.urdreamgarage.com/
  6. I have rancho 5000's on my rig. I didn't noticed that they were that firm until I rode in RedPath88's rig. He has the ProComp shocks and his ride is much more supple.
  7. Maxed out bars due to oversized tires? That makes no sense. Have you cranked your torsion bars? The factory bars are known to get weak on some rigs. Reindexing them(see how-to in the garage section) will help as a temporary fix. But, new bars may be needed. I have the Sway-a-way bars and I love them. You don't need to be lifted to enjoy them(higher spring rate). Level your front end, then align. And seeking out a better alignment shop might be a good idea as stated.
  8. Can you take a video and show us? I'm assuming there is a fault. Just got to figure out what.
  9. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19755-fix-your-keyless-entry/ See if anything in there helps.
  10. Well, not so much slip, but teeth shear off if the belt is ignored too long. The 3.3l swap gives you much longer maintenance intervals and more power. As stated, there are several threads on how to do it and what you need.
  11. Nope, it will not turn. The dizzy runs off the left camshaft. Belt breaks, no turn dizzy. I assume you have the cap removed and are watching it while you crank? Now for the bad news, if it did break the belt, you bent some valves. You can try slapping a new belt on it, but damage is probably done. You can either put new heads on it,rebuild the current ones, or drop a replacement motor in. Timing belt interval is 60, 000 miles on your rig. Any idea when it was changed last?
  12. Well, if anyone ws paying attention last year, the fourth Mr. Jim run was a bust. Nobody's fault, life just got in the way. Yep, that'll happen. When I saw this was going to happen, I figured it was time to expand to more members. But how? What I came up with is to push all members, no matter where you are at, to get out and wheel! Yeah, we will keep it on the first weekend of October as in the past. But I push all members to try and set up something local with other members. I have, in the past, posted in the northwest local section and gathered members for a location and time. It's not that hard. It would be awesome if we had major sponsorship or whatever, and could travel around the the country and wheel with different members(or, well, Jim could, as its name after his rig). We have a great community here and new faces keep popping up all the time. I would love to see more and more members get out and enjoy their rigs. So, I propose someone start a thread in a few months, in your local area, to gather members to go wheelin! Get out and camp, take pictures, video and have fun! I would love to hear what everyone thinks about this. Thanks all!
  13. So in general, I don't think there is anything special about the 95 hardbody. I was working at a Nissan dealer in Phoenix in 95(while going to school too), and they sold a butt-load of them. I don't remember any special trim or option packages that would make it rare. If you had a earlier production Desert Runner with low miles, then you would be on to something.
  14. I usually use a really long screwdriver. But popping of the dizzy ain't that bad. I use a marker to color around the mount bolt, then mark where the rotor points. Pop it out then, when putting it back in, reinstall and make sure everything lines back up.
  15. All custom setup? Kit? Front and rear? Leafs or coils? Mines next, right?
  16. There was a abs reprogramming available on the armada and Titan for some issues. I will check tomorrow to see it applies to pathfinders
  17. Looks like the fuel filter could be replaced. Brakes look ok, probably got about a good 6-12 months left before you sould do something about them. Be sure you look at the inner pads to see how thick they are. When you put the wheel back on, check the wheel bearings by putting your hands at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and rock back and fourth. They should not move. Do the same with your hands at 9-3 positions to check for play in the steering.
  18. Replaced my starter. Only the second one I've had to replace in him. I put in a factory unit the first time, this one is a aftermarket piece, but has a lifetime warranty. Cleaned my J/W pop charger filter as it was pretty caked with mud. And to round it out, I cleaned my air flow meter. Should be a nice drive to work tomorrow
  19. Looks like a alarm harness to me. Defiantly aftermarket.
  20. Look externally and internally on the truck for a leak. I'm thinking internal clutch master cylinder leak, into the passenger compartment. Look inside, under the dash. Follow the clutch pedal push rod where it bolts to the bulkhead. May have to pull back the carpet a smidge
  21. That TSB is for the older rigs. Addresses the issue of clogging. The 05-06's can develop a crack between the radiator and cooler, hence why I want to go around it.
  22. Yeah, I know about the issue and the TSB. I just wanted to see how others set theirs up.
  23. Ok, so I have a buddy with a 06. Talked to him about the possible radiator/trans cooler leak. He would like me to possibly put on a aftermarket cooler. Has anyone installed one in their R51? If so, what brand and how/where did you mount it? Thanks ahead of time. If no one has, I may figure something out and do a writeup.
  24. You might have the front end cranked too high. I was blowing them out a lot, then I brought the front end down a smidge, and quit shredding boots.
  25. 3.0l, 3.3l #6 has got nothin' on 4.0 #1 & #3
