Forum was offline for a 20-30min between 12am and 1am PST to do a minor software update.

I like it, looks good

I think your right and I want to say that it's 86-92 (Pathy / 4WD HB) and 93-95 (Pathy / 93-97 4WD HB) But iirc there was no exact date on the taper change, I think it was in the 92 model year (late I think)

"Help" Need Factory Radio Diagram "Bad"
RedPath88 replied to brc19761's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
The link is working for fine me and obviously others. I'd recommend that you contact AT&T and ask them to correct it, complain if necessary, they either are ether having issues (known or not) or are blocking sites/IPs. Either way, contacting them would be the first step to correcting it. Do you have a web enabled phone? When they go to the default answer of (the website host is the problem) tell them that you have the site freshly loaded on your phone, so "it's not the site's problem" -
And auto hubs have occasionally been known to stick (on and off) so that could be. If the half shafts were just replaced, it may be possible that it was not reassembled properly and one or both of the hubs is jammed. But start with AndyC's recommendation first, back up 5-15 feet and then drive and see if it feels more like it should in 2WD. Also, find a softer/loose low traction surface, such as dirt or gravel and spin your tires from a stop, only need them to break traction, then get out and see if either of the front tires spun.

Sadly the pictures are long gone, but here is 88's thread. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/2598-acs-1-bj-spacers-cause-uca-damage/
-
Actually I think 88's spacers were used with stock UCA's and their failure was the reason he later moved to Rough Country / Superlift UCA's. People have had mixed experiences with spacers, some good/trouble free, some bad. But when they have had problems it has been or could have been pretty bad. Just remember that if they fail (or cause an UCA and/or BJ to fail) then the outcome could be bad... depending on what your doing/how fast your moving and just when/if you notice they are failing.

Sump Gasket change (without removing engine) Z24i
RedPath88 replied to Sim's topic in 86.5-89 WD21 Pathfinders
The FSM also says that you must remove the front diff you pull a VG30, but I did an engine swap on my '88 without so much as touching a single diff mounting bolt. I say give it a shot, you'll know early on if you can. But don't be surprised if you end up doing more or find that it would have been easier doing it by the book. -
Valve cover/rocker arm cover gasket replacement
RedPath88 replied to Mr. Pickles's topic in The Garage
Don't think I have ever removed the dizzy to pull/replace v-covers -
Thanks, but these go HERE RockAuto.com usually updates it as needed, sometimes I have to send them a nudge though Closing thread

Looks good, I like it

Just lower it like kyle wants his accord and park it between speed bumps
-
Good to hear you got it back, I've had an eye out up here, luckily it never seemed to have left your area. Let us know how the towing/impound fee's works out for you.
-
Got them restored in the original post. Looked like you moved them to the Pathfinder album? The original links did not point to the album, but it's good now. Thanks
-
Evilfinder, any chance you can update the thread with new pics? The others say you deleted them, any member of the Mod Team can update that post for you, if you send us the links

No it should not be, but it is also not uncommon for those to bend when a 4Dr Pathy is used offroad. Some have welded angle iron to the bottom of the round ones, while some have opted to get the dog bone style links from a 2Dr to use in place of the 4Dr's round ones. Which route, if any, is more a personal preference.

I have never used that system but I installed an alarm system w/remote start in my 88 and it works just fine. Yes 93's had power locks and IMO before you attempt installing a remote lock/unlock system you need to troubleshoot and preferably get your stock system working properly. This could be as simple as replacing the switch/switch cluster in the drivers door. But you'll need to trouble shoot it to be sure.

This debate is kinda pointless, the tanks are 21 US Gal.
-
No welding expert here, but did you consider pulling the original tank, flush it then fill the tank with water and weld the problem locations? I've had a couple older, trusted and long time friends who have claimed to have done fuel tank repairs using this method. Alternately, you could probably take it to a welding shop and have them do the same for you.

Look at info plate, it will tell you what size tire your truck originally came with
-
It should be a self resetting rocker switch. Press Release Start
-
And YES that means that if it is in gear it WILL jump forward (or reverse if you have it in R) So don't hit anything when you inevitably test it out

We went with our current system in place of a gallery a long time go because of restrictive hosting that severely limited server space an allotted bandwidth. Having members host their pics on other services, such as photobucket.com and imageshack.us solved those issues.
