Forum has been restored and secured for now. Further safeguards will be put in place soon. In the coming weeks software updates will also take place. An exact timeline has not yet been determined, but some of this work may result in the forum being offline temporarily.

I have not yet been given an actual cause for this nearly week long outage, but after spending hours on the phone with the host company today, repeatedly reminding them that they had assured the site would be back up before this past weekend, here we are back up and running... finally! edit: Turns out the host utilizes AWS facilities, so this was related to the major AWS outage that occurred at the same time. Don't know why they couldn't just say that from the beginning.

Hey Lucas, in response to your report about multiple posts, if you posted this via the Tapatalk app, then it was not an "internet error" but was actually a well-known Tapatalk error that has been a thing in our, along with many other communities, since the advent of Tapatalk... Basically, when you post via Tapatalk and it gives you an error... or no response at all... please DO NOT refresh/repost. Instead, go back and check the forum listings, where you'll most likely find that your topic was indeed posted. The NPORA Staff, brought this up directly with the Tapatalk staff many years ago (documented here on the forum, somewhere). But they have ever since, remained 100% unwilling to correct the issue!

Order New A/C compressor & 3 in a row have the wrong wiring
RedPath88 replied to PamPoovey's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I experienced this years ago with my '83 Yota's alternator, turned out 1983 was the experimental year for the upcoming redesigned 1984 models. My truck was one of only 300 units produced in the NA, with that alternator. Anyway, after striking out at several different parts stores, private, local and larger chains I managed to walk into just the right Schucks Auto Supply. The guy behind the counter refused to believe that he could not get me the correct part. So, after hour or two of searching, pulling parts and physically comparing, I walked out with the right one! Turns out it had been used on a 70's Corolla or something, don't remember and doesn't matter anyway as they, now O'Rielly Auto Parts, can properly identify the alternator... coincidence? Anyway, my point is that unless someone here can get the part number right for you, perhaps you should take it to, or into, a local parts store. -
Hopefully they don't find any of this...

I think you may have missed the part where I said "IF all else fails"... I should have noted sooner that you not going to get much movement out of it, it all depends on the amount of space between the MC and FW opening.
-
Since you have another penetrating oil on order, I'd recommend that between now and then, if you have not already done so, saturate the front AND back (firewall side) of the lower stud with PB Blaster (which has been my decades long, go too.) Now you may need to pull/flex the MC a bit to make space between it and the firewall, for the oil to effectively run down to the lower stud. This may resolve the issue or help until you can acquire and apply the use of a dead blow hammer to it, as Frenchy rightfully suggested. That said, IF all else fails, I absolutely would not be afraid to (carefully) take an angle grinder with a narrow disk to it. Disconnect all lines and protect them. Then drain and suck out all the fluid you can (using a simple baster or fluid vac) and cover every open line to prevent contamination. Keep water and/or a fire extinguisher nearby, just in case. If you don't overheat it (grind in steps, using water as you go to cool the metal in between) or grind into the fluid chamber, then this should not be an issue. Simply trim off the upper MC mounting flange near the top of the center core. And if need be, the forward reservoir (nearer to the reservoir) to allow you to effectively get to the firewall side. Once separated and removed, it should allow you to start rotating the remaining MC mounting flange on its lower axis, back and forth (with penetrating oil) using locking, adjustable pliers, or a similar clamping tool, to break it hopefully free of the stud. Ask me why I know this could work... well, because I've done it before. I just don't recall if it was on the '75 Monarch or '82 Escort...

Not sure how long the forum was down, but it was caused by a PHP error on the server. And a thanks goes out to @adamzan for bringing it to my attention.

The 3mo cert is a newer feature included with the backend database management software and is free, so I can't really complain to much. I just need to set a reminder a few days in advance, since the "auto" part of it is clearly not. lol
-
And once again we are back to the not-really auto auto-renewal... SSL has been renewed and restored.

So I've watched Andy for quite a long time now, and although he bought this Pathfinder a bit ago he's finally made a video, about it, specifically. Perhaps members of the NPORA Community can reach out to him, directly or in his comments section. Maybe even get him to join the NPORA Forums, help him out with some helpful information and advice. Thus giving him more exposure to true Pathfinder/Terrano enthusiasts and maybe providing NPORA with more YouTube exposure! ???

Went to renew it and found that it auto-renewed 2 days ago. This is it was it supposed to do before, so hopefully on Mar 23/24 this won't happen again.

Same here, both the Pathy and the Suburban have maintainers on them.
-
Nope, sadly it does not get much road time right now. Partially because with the parking layout at my place, two (out of 4) vehicles get boxed in and the surface where that happens is better suited for truck tires, that those of a car.

Good question! lol. It was a few weeks ago when I noticed the issue, hard shifts like the clutch was not fully disengaging, but in the couple shifts I made it was not consistent (but didn't seem like it a low hydraulic pressure issue) To be honest, I didn't have the time to play with it then. I noticed it after blacking out of the driveway, N to 1, then 1 to 2. But in a hurry I just backed up to the driveway the and pulled back in and hopped in another vehicle. Yesterday, I didn't drive it, just warmed it up and cycled it through gears without moving. Everything seemed fine.
-
Started and let it run for a while to allow some fluids to cycle through it, while simultaneously fully heating up the interior. Also did the same with the Suburban. Need to find a way to carve out some troubleshooting time to diagnose the clutch issue, which I hope is not the actual clutch!

Renewed! Thanks for the heads up!
-
Should be resolved, let me know.
-
hmm, I am not seeing that, but will take a look. Thanks for the heads up.

lol yeah we have one.. look at the bottom of the page It's an included one from IPS and yes some text is hard, or very hard to see. I've long used it and guess that I've just got used to it, at some point I'll dig through the code and see if I can find a fix for it.

Forum was offline for less than 60 seconds for a minor software update.
-
NPORA Site and Forums was offline for an unannounced server move by the host. They planned for only a few minutes of sitewide unavailability during the DNS settings update and although the main site returned within that timeframe, the forums did not. For unknown reasons the databases were not automatically migrated to the new server. A call to support initiated a manual move and account association of the databases. The total down time for NPORA Forums is estimated to have been in the 90-100min range. EDIT: Email is currently not functioning, but they are working on it. This includes the Forums built-in email notification system (registration emails, password resets, post/message notifications, etc) along with all @nissanpathfinders.net staff addresses. EDIT: Email services have been restored

First thing I suggest would be to review this thread and see of you have similar symptoms, this may be your issue and fix...
