  1. Although I have not done it myself, I remember discussions about it and if you unwrap the wiring harness there enough slack that you can reroute the harness up so the ECU can be mounted in the glove box. I also remember someone talking about a mod where they screwed it to the heater core box, cut a section of the metal plate (behind the glove box) and then reshaped the glove box (cut and glue, heat and bend ) enough that it would open and close normally. There has been discussion of building a wiring harness extension to move it there... but to me, if you going to go that rough, then why not go all the way and mount it above the headliner There is info here, I will look around later, but as for pics, I am not sure. A lot of people put pics on non- permanent hosting and/or delete them when they sell their trucks
  2. Please tell me that this is a joke... Yep, the (auto) locking hubs have been removed, you could not use 4WD right now if you life depended on it. And more importantly, with it exposed like that you are getting contaminates in there and will end up having to replace the bearings, at the minimum. I can't even tell for sure if the locking ring is still there, if it is not then your axle is able to move in and out in a way that it should not. How long has it been like this or at least how long has it been driven like this? First park it, then look in the Parts for Sale section and see if anyone has some hubs you can buy, hit local wrecking yards, order some Warn, MileMarker, etc manual hubs... just get it back together again before more damage is done. While your at it, replace the bearings.

  4. The front is not LSD http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/28134-wd21-d21-and-r50-lube-specifications/
  5. In the center of the seat (each side respectively) there should be a black strap (it could be pushed down between the bottom and back of the seat), pull that up and it will release the bottom of the seat and allow it to fold up and forward. Now put your hand on the side of the seat back, down by the wheel well hump. Feel that lever? Pull the top of it and fold the seat back down flat. The backs should actually be adjustable as well, using the lever, you should be able to adjust the locking angle of the seat back.
  6. I agree in that it does look taller and to verify I just measured mine and from the deck surface to the top of the tower (highest point of the bumper) it is 11.25in.
  7. Sorry, I do not remember, but I see Axxess issued a new firmware update for the interface and I am considering opening the dash to flash it, if I do I will look then. When you say the "plugs to plug this into" what exactly do you mean by that? My Axxess unit did not have any plugs that were meant to "plug into" anything on the vehicle, only on the Axxcess unit itself. The connections to the vehicle were done using the unterminated ends of the wires. Can you provide a bit more info on what exactly you have/installed. Radio Model, the brand and number of any harness adapters that you bought... I assume the Axxess model is the ASWC-1? Do you have any pictures of what you have to work with in the dash?
  8. SL/RC are good arms and correct ball joint angles to allow proper alignment, good choice I have them as well
  9. I was worried about the same thing when I installed my ARB but after taking a Chevy HD head on, I am no longer concerned with it. The bottom mounts really do take the force and I do believe that the uppers are simply to stabilize the bumper. Now I am saying this based on a one piece ARB, so results may very with a two piece unit. But I would recommend that you seriously consider where you put additional holes if you do. The last thing you would want to do would be to actually weaken the frame welded mounts, while trying to strengthen the bumper.
  10. Was the factory stereo Bose Audio with Navigation/GPS system or was it a non-Nav (Bose or not)? I recently installed on in my other car and it was extremely easy. There are no factory connectors that you "plug it into" instead you have to tap into pins in a one of the trucks connectors. Looking up the instructions on Axxess's site, it appears to be almost the same. Also, what set of Metra/Axxess install instructions are you using?
  11. My '88 only had one bolt per side.
  12. Wheel Studs - I have only ever used ones from Napa, Cut Rate Auto Parts (yes "CRAP" ) and Al's Auto Supply>Schucks>O'reilly. Don't know the brand, but it has always been the same. Might still have one. They are decently priced, sold individually and I have never had any problems with them. Lug Nuts - I have bought them from Les Schwab and my current set I got from Infinity(Nissan)
  13. Might be the reason they list these lights on their site? http://www.tacticalarmorgroup.com/TAG-Bumper-Store/Rigid-Dually-Diffused-Pair-Flush-Mount Here is the manufacturers listing of "Dually" and "D2" lights http://www.rigidindustries.com/search-products/Dually%20D2
  14. They (upper mounts) also control the bumpers rebound during recovery operations, such as winching. But like B said, the load bearing mounts are the lower ones, they take the force placed on the bumper by the winch. It could be that they designed it around the 87-93 bumper designs and if so, you'll need to acquire a couple of older brackets. Or do as the second shop did on my ARB (while fixing the botched job the first one did while extending it for a 3in BL) and weld a plate to the bumper to bypass the brackets completely and bold directly to the frame mounts. Oh and another consideration could be that the original design was on a HB, I can't say if the brackets are different than either versions on the Pathfinders, but I would imagine they are given the body height difference between HB's and PF's. Someone here should know for sure if they are different.
  15. Fixed the link in your original post.
  16. The Garage is a better place for it since this is not specific to the 2dr's Next time please just ask for it to be moved rather than posting another identical thread. When you have more than one thread it hampers peoples ability to help by spreading the replies across multiple location. If everyone reads and replies in a single place, your more likely to get the help you need. I will combine the two threads into the a single topic in The Garage
  17. Good score You might want to take them to a locksmith to see what it would cost to have a key made, depending on the cost of the cylinders.
  18. Please review this post: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/20781-how-to-post-a-photo/ If your still having problems with posting pictures, please past the link you are trying to use within a "Code" box in the other thread. Look for the "<>" button when writing your post and enter the link you are using in the text box within the pop up that appears. This way we can see exactly what your doing. 19. I'm sorry Jim. As Derek said you lost it once and it NPORA managed to bring it home, so lets hope for number two!
  20. I too would recommend the Rough Country/Superlift arms. I originally ordered RC's and had them for a while when someone discovered a manufacturing problem (long ago and corrected right after discovery). Called up RC and they issued a postage paid return label and RMA and a direct number to Superlift who quickly sent me replacements. The have been on my truck now for years with zero problems and for reference both are made by SuperLift and the only difference is the coating. RC's are power coated while SL's are zinc coated.
  21. It's been that way for a long time, in fact I can't even remember when it was that we last changed it But yeah, the reason we've restricted it is because of people putting way to large of images in their profiles and making their profile way taller/longer that is needed. This reduces the flow of threads, impacting the user experience. The Member's Rides section is the place for larger (but still reasonable) posted pics and links to oversized ones
  22. No hate If you do I hope it works out for you
  23. Another member lost to a motorcycle accident. Your will be missed Andrew, rest well.
