You might take a look through this thread: The Unofficial Tire Review Thread
-
Just added "Blown Tire" I had them in a 31x10.5 and had no problems. Only thing I would add to that would be to have them sipped. Made a world of difference in braking on wet pavement.
-
I edited the title of the thread to add a little more explaination as to what the topic is about
-
Having run both 33x10.5 (current) and 12.5's (the ones below on the Yota were run as a temp solution on the Pathy) I personally prefer and recommend 10.5's. They fit better, rub and weight quite a bit less (noticible power difference.) And although some member will say that you can run 33's of either size without lift (and several membes have) I stand by lifting when going larger than a 31" tire.
-
Used to be common in yota's until the 4.3 was rebalanced... In the 90's I think it was. Can't say that I have ever known anyone who put a 231 in a wd. I would question the worth of the gain vs time/money investment, unless you build it.

Who Is Recieving Anti-Virus Warnings While Visiting NPORA?

Finally heard back from avast, a full 10 days after this problem started they updated the ticket and emailed this responce (thier first and currently only response) Later on today, when I have the time to reply appropriately, I will ask them what their procedure is to correct the harm thier false positive has done to NPORA. Other sites have recorded Avast's false positive and at least one other A/V (Trend Micro) has blocked NPORA's domain/url do too Avast's false positive report. In the mean time, Trend Micro users, please report these blocks as false positives/invalid and feel free to site that Avast has admitted the mistake. -

Is it blocked for the same reason inyourface1650 reported above "Known Malicious site" or does it identify something? In other news, Avast has finally marked the support ticker as received and assigned someone to it. But has yet too communicate any form of acknowledgement. -

Do not be surprised if the forum is taken offline or is completely down at various times over the next week or so, as when IPS investigates the issue they may have to place it offline and/or take it down completely. -

Update: Avast Customer Support has still not made any effort to contact us, nor does the ticket show any progress of any kind by them. This is unfortunate as I have been a long time user and supporter of Avast (10+yrs) and have recommended the program to many, many people. However, with my first and only experience with their "Customer Service" I cannot in good faith recommend them any longer. And will likely stop using the software and move on to another (possibly back to AVG)once this whole issue is sorted out and corrected. Last night some of you may have noticed that the forum was down. This was intentional, as we spent several early morning hours reinstalling the forum software a couple of times and testing. But still, Avast on my system is reporting the same as before. This even after deleting every file on the server and reinstalling/replacing with new and known clean files. I have engaged out website host and now IPS regarding this issue. The Host found nothing wrong on our site or on the server. We will have to wait and see what IPS come up with, if anything. But one thing that I can say is that Avast is identifying numerous sites that run IP.Board software, including IPS's own and none of them seem to have any problem whatsoever. I'll update again when there is more information. -

I called them back and now I am supposed to get a. All from a developer either tonight or tomorrow. They claim they have a 24hr reply/callback on tickets, I pointed out that they missed that timeline so the lady "promised" I would get a call while she apologized.... Yeah I'm holding my breath based on thier record so far Keep sending them in -

Yeah as of last night, Avast had shown no progress of any kind on the trouble ticket. Irritating to say the least, I hope to get a bit of time to call them again today. Maybe is everyone can start reporting the errors as false positives, it will kick them into gear. -
Can't help you there but if your that close (furthest north store I know of is in lynnwood) then having it shipped to a UPS Store near the boarder might be better? Should be on in Blaine... Well guess not, closest one I see is in Bellingham. Odd I would have figured they would have one in the boarder town Blaine, just for this sort of thing
-
Yeah, I think it was 140-150 w/free boots and ES1000 SS when I bought, but that was over 10 years ago.
-
Are any other lights on as well?
-
I have ES3000 on mine' and don't think I would ever even consider going below that. Although I don't know of anyone who has used the 1000 for the corners, they may be ok, just don't except much of a ride out of them. But given that they are, to my knowlege generally used as a steering damper I would think that they are more suited for that. Perhaps someone with experience using the 1000's at the corners will chime in. Are all your shocks needing to be replaced, or just 1 or 2? If they are stock or the aftermarket equivalent, you might just consider grabbing used replacement of another truck, like from a wrecking yard or part out. Since yshould be able to get them for cheap that way, there is little pointers spending money on new shocks that you will be replacing in a year. As for value in a year, the 1000 probably won't have any resale since most don't use them (again, afaik) And the 3000 won't likely have much. If they were higher end, then it might be worth it, but then that means your spending more now.

If you notice the issue stops, please let us know by posting here, thanks. -
I've seen some bow and some not, could be sag causing it, I am not totally sure. But you trimmed the tail off right? So they don't seat true on one end so that would likely cause or contribute to the bow your seeing. Jack it up and turn one of them 180deg, drop it back to the ground and see of it bows the other way, or at least less. It's been a long time since I nstalled mine, but I seem to remember intentionally positioning them so the flexed... forward (I think?) To help counter the suspension geometery that could apply force towards the rear. Or may be it's just to early in the am to think about this, having just getting out of lousy traffic in that forgien stuff called "rain, thunder and lightning.

Just a little update, based on the results of this poll, feed back from outsite this thread and troubleshooting that we have done, I see little reason not to beleive that this is an Avast issue. As such we are working with them to try and resolve it. -

Here l'll start Yes Avast! IE & FF Happening on my laptop per above but on my desktop all is good using AVG and IE. I can also browse normally on my Android phone with Lookout and the defualt HTC browser. -
It was brought to my attention today that some are getting A/V warning and/or their A/V is completely blocking NPORA's website from loading at all. Please vote in the above poll and make a post using the following formats so we can try and figure this out. POLL Voting Format: Question #1: Choose 1 Question #2: Choose 1 Question #3: Choose all that apply Post Format: Yes (or) No A/V Browser Notes
