  1. Looks like a couple of the hub bolts let go which caused the hub body to move and grenade. Did you use the bolts that came with the WARNs, or did you upgrade? I know a lot of people upgrade them because the ones they include are poor quality.
  2. My fronts on my 93 were dual metal, can't remember what my 88's are.
  3. Did you ever change the O2 sensor? My Van was acting like it was losing power just slightly and repeatedly (no movement on the tach, but you could feel it lag slightly), I had been getting the CEL for the O2 and replacing it fixed the lag.
  4. The problem with the Thule and Yakima racks on 2drs is that, unless you want the rack to sit over just the front of the cab, you need extra bars/clips to "float" the rear towers over the back area of the cab. http://www.thule.com/en/US/sitecore/content/Primary%20Product%20Hierarchy/Thule%20Products/ProductCategory_5010/ProductFamily_178712/477000.aspx
  5. Actually the area under the rear seats is no where near as hot as the tranny hump area. As for road grime type stuff, a lot more hits the front than the underside of the truck. Being up behind the frame rails sheilds that area from tire spray. To be honest the only major concern I would have is to hit a stray branch on a trail. Which the expanded metal would hopefully stop that from puncturing the cooler.
  6. A nice expanded metal/ mesh guard could be made too.
  7. I was thinking about relocating my tranny cooler to under the truck in the void of space on the passenger side under the rear seat, with it's own e-fan. My thought is to install it at a slight angle to increase airflow, yet still keep it tucked up out of the way. Then put the e-fan on the bottom side to help protect the cooler from stuff getting kicked up at it. Thoughts?
  8. As you can see in the pic I posted, the stock rack bolts in at the locations I suggested. All they used were the "nutserts" in the sheetmetal to hold the stock racks.
  9. I clamped my basket to my stock rack: If don't have the stocker, you can just bolt straight to the roof above the B pillar and above the D pillar (crossmembers under those areas, no need for a backing plate).
  10. Did Nissan use the same system on other models (Maxima, etc)? Might have more luck finding one if they did.
  11. Window is FM, mast is AM. My 93's mast is broken and I only get FM in it.
  12. It might, though he has all the sheet precut buy someone else for him so you would think he has a pattern they follow and make them the same everytime....? His tube stuff is all hand done, so it is a dice roll on it, and all the welding is hand done as well, so you never know.
  13. Actually the 2wd WD-21 is the same as the 4wd, the 2wd D-21 is different and has the rods on the front of the LCA.
  14. Suction cups work sometimes, how large of diameter, it is creased already? If it isn't creased then the suction cup should work and leave you uncreased afterward. If there is a crease, get a body hammer and dolly and go at it.
  15. I love it, never had any trouble with it, hell with the Rain-X on you don't need wipers! Their washer fluid is the best I have found in the winter, it actually will melt the ice and it doesn't turn to a snow-cone consistancy in the tank in sub zero temps like the generic blue stuff does.
  16. To bad my gift certificate isn't transferable, I'd give it to ya ($100).
  17. Yes, it is, VERY bad. You would get better care if you took it to the local High School auto shop for repair work, NOT JOKING! At least most all shop teachers actually know what ASE stands for and oversee what the students do. Go to Wal Mart and you get the short bus rejects working on your stuff with no one around to know what is right or wrong! Hell the guy changing oil was probably bagging groceries last week, and didn't get a raise to move to automotive.
  18. That, or maybe a hole in the intake tube. My stock intake tube tore out around where it met the throttle body and I ran with duck tape holding it together for 6 months before making my custom tube.
  19. Only ones I've seen people use are the clutch pack type.
  20. You should still be able to install the WD-21 map lights.
  21. I bought my BG used missing all mounting hardware. I already had a 2" BL so I mounted it up to the bumper, and saw where it met the frame. Mine ran right into the end of the frame, to I used the holes in the frame to run a plate and some bolts between the frame and the bottom of the BG.
  22. Some "cars" had 16s stock. But yeah, I highly doubt they were 55 ratio stock unless it was the dealer that put them on before selling it.
  23. I've been wheeling with 2 Xterras that have front LSDs and both handled really well. One had the Z swap the other was an aftermarket unit.
