  1. Are you guys using filters with anti-backflow? The ones I use are and it holds the oil in the filter, first turn after breaking the seal loose it all flows out past the seal and down the block to the starter. Anymore I just tuck a wad of paper towels under it,.... it works.
  2. FYI, the Hardbody 3" kit has GOOD relocation brackets, they would work on a Pathfinder, but for some reason PA doesn't put them in the WD-21 kit. They are a one piece bracket that attaches to both stock frame mounts. Looked like it would be easy to duplicate if you had a water jet or laser cutter and a press break.
  3. How about replacement UCAs like the ones Rancho used to make? They look bigger and better than any other available now.
  4. Wow, is your EGR valve brand new? It and the throttle are so shinny! One thing you might want to do is shorten the breather tube with the blue extention, it looks like it is really close to the AC belt.
  5. If you are using 4wd on pavement, then it will bind on turns. 4wd should only be used in areas with low traction.
  6. I cut and spliced the one on my 88, just removed the bad part and put the line back together with a barbed fitting and 2 clamps.
  7. Once I get around to building the "brush guard" above the bumper on my 88, you'll see there is no need to tie in that high. If you do want to tie in, then run a brace up off a lower mount, triangulation .
  8. AC (4x4parts.com) sells motor mounts to bolt chevy V6 and V8s in (at least they used to).
  9. Yeah, it's not to bad to get to, but putting it in a place so that changing it dumps oil all over the starter was a very good idea, NOT.
  10. The exhaust crossover is in a different location. Otherwise, everything else as far as the tranny is the same.
  11. Why not just go in through the openings for the stock bumper in the core support and bolt to the stock bumper locations on the frame?
  12. Yeah, bet they'll have heated seats too....
  13. Keep an eye on the classifieds here for a stock brush guard, or part outs. Or, just drill 2 holes in the bumper and mount them there, what I did for a few years.
  14. The Infinity version is due out sooner IIRC. Not to rain on the parade, but not even the Patrol is solid front anymore.
  15. Might get my cigarette wet and put it out, duh!
  16. That style, I would avoid, they mount low and have material hanging below the mounts (not to mention the low mounted cross bar). That really kills any approach angle, and if you were to catch it, it would pivot up and back. I had one for about 6 months, and ditched it when I started trail running. I have a factory guard now that I bought without lower mounts, but with my 2" body lift it terminates right at the end of the frame rails so I braced it off there, and nothing hangs too low.
  17. I was able to pry the crossover pipe forward just enough to get my pan out.
  18. I just dress for the weather. If it is cold out, I'm dressed for the cold, I don't need heat in the truck. Hell, I usually still have my windows open unless it's blowing snow.
  19. Manik and WAAG both made that style, both have discontinued production of them.
  20. Guess I might go get my J-yard one checked out at the Zone before swapping it in.
  21. I doubt you over heated or otherwise mechanically did any damage to your tranny B. There is probably some electrical signal that wasn't getting to the tranny ECU. Whatever is causing your dead dash is probably the source of all trouble.
  22. Neither of mine had a pre-cat, and I have yet to see one with more than one cat at the J-yards here.
  23. Yep, I'm a crass old SOB, not gonna sugar coat my opinions.
  24. Tranny dipstick/fill tube on the passenger side by the firewall. Oil dipstick on driver's side below the exhaust manifold, fill on passenger side valve cover. So you were reading the tranny dip stick for an engine oil reading?
