  1. The switch part should interchange with any year, I have the electrical end off of a 94 in my 88, and it was the exact same as the original 88 one, same connector even, which was the biggest shock.
  2. Got a name brand on that paint? Mine have been bare for almost 2 years now, lol.
  3. Sounds like a possibility. I snagged a cubby with a spring hinged door off of a Maxima in the J-yard (forget the year) and it bolted right in place of the open cubby in my 93, however, the door part interfeared with the trim piece, so though it would have been nice, I had a sad.
  4. Why it is "stupid" to ask it again... Guess some people are just as new to forum use as they are to their vehicle.
  5. Sounds like adding extra leak points to me, but if it works, cool.
  6. You "can" just dismantle the top of the TB, and pry them out, I did it before without any damadge, just have to be carefull.
  7. Any for a WD-21 (87-95) will fit, the only problem is the front pair where they meet the valance on the 93-95 models, they made a change so the shape is slightly different. The D-21 fronts will work, but not the rears (a friend of mine tried to do the opposite, bought WD-21 flares for his D-21), they are a different shape. Check the classifieds section for part outs, probably your best bet for finding a set easily.
  8. There would have been no need to go near it to do the T-belt. It is a normal leak point though.
  9. Check your accessory belt tension.
  10. My hitch isn't in the way at all, it sits rearward of the rear tank/skid mount. Mine is a U-Haul special, only towed with it once, it is mainly there to land on rocks rather than catch the back of the gas tank on them.
  11. Ask a "stupid" question, get an even stupider answer...
  12. Oh, we need that power steering belt, mine snapped on my 88 and even strong arming the wheel I could barely turn it.
  13. Trying to figure out what a spark sounds like....
  14. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Mine acted like that when the filter (nearly new one too ) got clogged.
  15. Yep, rear bumpstops are rare to see in the midwest:
  16. Almost sounds like it might be a torque converter issue, since it dies in a drive gear.
  17. Also not a single one of those available in the entire USA (my dealer checked because mine is quirky)! For the problem, how old is the fuel filter? Mine acted like that when it's filter got clogged.
  18. They are like 20 or 18 guage steel.
  19. There was a pic once on AC of a Japanese WD-21 the guy had crammed a dual turbo VG30 into, and it took up every inch of room under the hood. I think the easiest route to charge our trucks up would be a 3"BL(for clearance) with a supercharged 3.3 swap.
  20. Yeah, I'd replace those. You said if, "it aint broke", but those are broke, not the joint, but the mount. Not like they are an expensive part, and at this point you could use a pickle fork and not care if you destroy the rubber grease cap.
  21. Mounting it like that ought to eliminate the problem I had. I put the T fitting inline of the hose going into the cooler. Since it had rubber hose on either end, the sensor wasn't grounded. My solution was to braze a wire onto the T fitting, then ran the wire to a ground point. Your filter mount ought to take care of the grounding as long as you don't over teflon the threads on the fittings, and actually bolt it in place (no zip-ties!)
  22. Neither of mine had them, I have seen a few with them, but more without than with.
  23. Zip-ties keep the world together!
  24. Here is the one I had made and was using for a while, I took the carrier off and mounted the bumper on my 88 now. The mounts are 2 pieces of 1/4" steel welded together and drilled for the stock mounts, then a 2" tube above and a 2"tube below the mounts. I used 2" tube for the carrier too. with 2 plates and a bolt for the hinge.
