  1. Yeah, no needle bearings in the hub. There are some in the tri-bearing part of the CV, but they are caged. Only time they tend to go bad is if the truck is driven for long distances with a torn boot. All kinds of crud gets thrown up inside and all the grease comes out.
  2. I think I spent about $40 for the parts to build my own. Just pieced together Spectre parts; 2 clamps, 1 6" tube, MAF-Filter adapter, filter, and vacuum kit.
  3. It is less restrictive than the stock airbox, but you are pulling from the egine compartment, so yeah at higher speeds you are probably getting cooler air, but it is pulling from behind the radiator so it is not as cold as you might think.
  4. Get an O2 socket, it will make getting the new one put in easier also. I didn't use anything but brute force to change mine.
  5. Nope, they are the same, I actually pulled the electrical part off the back of a 94 for my 88. There was an 02 Xterra next to it and it had the same one too. Like you said, just the column cover is different.
  6. I have a cone on my 93, but still need to build the partition around it for true cold air. I have the stainless for it, just need to break out the cardboard and masking tape to make some templates.
  7. My top lights work well, they are high enough to shoot over small obsticles that block my bumper and headlights. I need to make some sort of protection for them though, almost took one off on a limb last year.
  8. Yeah, for what the dealer would probably want for just the seal, you could probably get a whole new MC at NAPA. Hardest part is the bench bleed, which isn't hard.
  9. It's 50/50 that j-yard vehicles here have keys still. If you found an early 90s Nissan you should be able to use the ignition and locks from it.
  10. They do on the low end stuff, you can specify if you want all leather or not. Usually they'll make the seat area in leather and the sides and back in lesser materials. Basically, you really do get what you pay for.
  11. "Trax" would be fun, but when my vehicle isn't even worth $5k, do you really think I'm going to spend twice that for new shoes? No Not saying there aren't people who would buy them, I'm sure they would be good in a lot of commercial apps that require smaller vehicles.
  12. Check the picture thread, our trucks always amaze people how well they can handle the tuff stuff even stock. I've gone places fully locked and SASed trucks were getting stuck trying to go. For FWD only, NO, if you had to, then run yourself home that way, but park it and fix it. You might have to replace the CVs or diff depending on how far and how fast you used it in FWD only. Our drive system isn't made to be used in 4wd on high traction surfaces.
  13. For banjo style fittings (like the bolt ends on the PS hoses), I always reuse the old bolt and washers instead of using the new unless the old are destroyed.
  14. Given the fitment issue, I woder if they aren't actually for Z cars?
  15. Good find and good deal! They are no longer in production.
  16. On 4drs you would have to cut up to the edge of the rear door to fit the 35s.
  17. I know they were still selling new WD-21s in some countries (Indonesia for one) as recently as 05.
  18. If so mine is missing. All the interior tire carrier has is a metal bracket that bolts to the side of the caro area under the window. Mine just had the plastic cover like Morning has.
  19. They refined a few things on models 88 on. Though, the vinyl floor would have been a good option to keep on them. Looks like you can get the vinyl through Courtesy, about $400 for the floor (cargo area not included).
  20. There is no fighting them on depreciation, I had Craftsman tools stolen and they got depreciated. How the hell does something that you can take back and get an exact replacement without additional charge depreciate? I would take the $2k and the truck, and cut my loses.
  21. I think he had a homemade bar he mounted to the stock mounts.
