Do you need an Oil Pressure Sender Switch T or Adaptor?
Precise1 replied to Precise1's topic in General Forums
Well, unless someone needs a custom T, it seems like it is covered. Anyone need a T to run the stock sensor and a 1/8 NPT sensor simultaneously? Bueler? B -
Do you need an Oil Pressure Sender Switch T or Adaptor?
Precise1 replied to Precise1's topic in General Forums
Here are sources I have found... http://www.nissport.com/catalog/product.asp?ProductCode=NS-2100 http://www.coleparmer.com/buy/product/76990-threaded-adapter-stainless-steel-1-8-female-bspt-1-8-male-npt-yo-31830-60.html http://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-2269/overview/ B -
Just a heads up for anyone who might need an adaptor or T... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/34817-do-you-need-an-oil-pressure-sender-switch-t-or-adaptor/?p=651598 B

Like it all says, do I need to make some for all the gauge pillar buyers? Does anyone have a source for any already? I'll go into the retaining clips tomorrow... Thanks, B

So far, this is what I have found. Autozone: 1/8 X 28 ISO Tapered Rock Auto: 1/8" BSPT, Metric: M10. Nothing else has thread measurements so far... Looks like I'm pulling the unit tomorrow to try to measure it. Just what I need, some goofy-arsed Brittish threads... B Holy crap, a tap costs $40!

Good question. Does anyone know off hand? B

Off topic. Holy Crap! What the hell happened to your Pathy?!? B

There are a lot of Pathfinders here, mainly WD21 and R50 but most of them are stock and do not go offroad. I'd say only 5% have modifications beyond rims and tires. B

Very good point! B

No. Some platinum and all iridium plugs have a delicate electrode with a critical coating that you don't want to damage so unless you can check it visually (microscope), leave it alone. Shoving gauges in and out isn't an option, but I have never seen high end plugs be out of range. I highly recommend NGK plugs, they work well and aren't expensive. All of their plugs for the 1995 Pathfinder list a .032" gap and the 1995 FSM says .031-.035". B

Got it. I do still believe that you could find a stock one in good condition just for the weight aspect, but hopefully the one you ordered will be at least 23 lbs and you can just get it done at this point. Good luck. B

Tires for a 1993 SE V6 (other comments appreciated as well)
Precise1 replied to marbiol's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Definitely look in the thread, and I will recommend the Yokohama Geolander A/TS for what use you describe, but my experience is only with rain, not snow. Should do well since it is a fairly soft compound, but obviously verify theat independently. B -
I'm sure you could find a used flywheel that wasn't significantly damaged, much less .07" worth of damage, especially in damaged vegicles. .07" is a lot to take off, how did it get that damaged? Makes me wonder if they fixtured/indicated it in well enough before facing it... Bad stories to hear from Rock Auto, I have always gotten what I ordered without damage. I do also get some parts from Autozone or a dealership so I don't use them all the time. Once I did get an ignition tumbler assembly that did not fit until I took a dremel to it. Other than that... B

Well, for coil springs they can shift or simply fall out at extreme flex and they have to be made right to fit in the nissan base, which has a step in it. I'm leery of any spacer that doesn't conform to the spring step or hold it securely. At least when you only have springs you can put zip ties in place as keepers. I avoid spacers whenever possible, even when they are bolt on... B
-
I have heard of them supporting their product well before, so this isn't unusual from what I understand. It is what made me buy their product second hand. I know if I need a part, I can order it and they generally back the lifetime warranty regardless. Good to hear and thanks for the info. B
-
I have no experience with the fork coils, but I recall people saying they are stiff and I recommend avoiding spacers in general. JGC springs should be available locally. You might need to trim and reinstall install a little to get the exact ride height you are looking for, but that is time, not $. Please do record and share spring diameter, free length and ride height measured to the center of the body crease. B

Check all the others to make sure though. B

Anyone lift the whole body off the frame?
Precise1 replied to The_Magicians_Eye's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Yeah, there was a guy in the Sacramento area that did a body swap after he rolled it. IIRC they just built a wooden frame around it and lifted the body off. It didn't require that much support. I don't know how beefy your beams are, but tying them together and a few chain hoists would probably do the trick. B -
See here... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31242-pillar-gauge-pod/?p=650541 I have not yet found threaded inserts to replace the the factory mount points, but I'm still looking. As for the gap, I'll probably ignore it, it is only visible from the outside when the door is opened. B
-
That is a good point/idea. I know I'm installing oil pressure and volt meter, but I didn't know if the 3rd would be amp, water temp or now vacuum. Time to investigate and order... B
-
The holes measure 2.02"-2.04", but there is little lip on one side of the bottom 2 holes. Hopefully everything will line up correctly. I have yet to order my gauges, perhaps today. Hopefully I can refrain from putting in a boost gauge... B
-
Yes, it can be quite helpful. $460!! :ohno01:I don't know what the currency exchange is, or shipping, but check out this site and NPORA Member... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/18653-genuine-nissan-parts/ Yes, many people have gone from fan clutch to E-fan, but I don't know if it would be cheaper for you. Look up 'e fan' or 'taurus fan' and I believe there is a thread in the Garage/How To section for the best info. B

Tungsten is talking about the MAF wiring... Universal usually means a splice into the wiring sensor, OEM (replacement) will have a full wire and connector on it. How long is the wire on the one you bought and does it have a connector? B
-
Sorry, no, I meant get it to where it is close to where you want it and see if it settles any, then fine tune them to the final height/level you want. Do Not jack the front end up, or it will take a few days for the T-bars to settle again. Also, it is a good idea to oil the adjustment bolt threads to reduce the chance of galling. B

Someone did try 'cleaning' one with a torch, YMMV. Best bet is just replace it with a properly functioning replacement... B
