  1. The wheels will clear, it's the tires that would rub struts. A 265/70r16 on trispokes with my setup was close enough to the strut I couldn't fit my checkbook between tire and strut. With 1" spacers I can get my hand in there with play. I don't think a 265/75r16 would have made it without spacers. Bonus tip (with 1" wheel spacers on Trispokes) you don't have to cut a hole in center caps to clear warn hubs. So they stay clean and dry just pop the cap with a pocket knife and lock em in. Makes it easy to clean and unlock after mudding too. I don't know if other brand hubs or wheels work or not. I've got a 1/8" or so of clearance between center cap and lock in.
  2. I've had great luck out of the Moogs I ordered off amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000HPXLLS/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmr1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484976483&sr=8-2-fkmr1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=pathfinder+moog+sway+bar+end+links I actually rebuilt my entire suspension off amazon. Even got OMEs Also if your anti away bar bushings are shot it could eat the end links. Very easy to change and cost like a nickel.
  3. Fuel filter would be a great start. We have the same vehicle if you run into any questions PM me. I'd recommend lockout hubs for mileage and saving CVs.
  4. I've literally never heard of any of those brands. Glad you got it.
  5. I would start with checking for a rats nest in air filter then change fuel filter. It may rev with no load (not needing as much fuel) or have trash settle in it and flow fine for a while.
  6. Sway bar end link would concern me... I had this happen and it drove me nuts trying to diagnose. Also an out of balance tire could cause it. A broken belt also. And it would be ultra funky symptoms for a slack wheel bearing but wouldn't write it off. Can you afford to or be able to go to any shop with a lift that won't jerk you around and would let you Check tires you can do that Check lug nuts you can do that wiggle your tires up down fore and aft. (A jack would get this) after eliminating that rotate tires (not fun with 'a' jack) Check front end over. If you can't get to a shop, a jack a lug wrench and good common sense should eliminate the biggies and let you judge whether to drive her or not.
  7. I use startron enzyme treatment but it's not really a harsh cleaner just an every oil change additive. I like Lucas anything and haven't killed anything yet with their fuel injector cleaners.
  8. Yep. Even in my neck of the woods (which is literally woods, think Burt Reynolds in Deliverance) there is such a high unemployment rate, theft and drug crime is rampant. Don't get me wrong, I still travel and I don't live in fear but use common sense. Don't leave your billfold in the dashboard at a rest stop or leave a car running outside a gas station. Most crimes are crimes of opportunity. Don't give them a wide open opportunity and all your stuff stays yours.
  9. I run the evil 'Lug Centric' spacers. I bought them for my old 6 lug chevy... I sold then they wouldn't work with my crappy 6 lug toyota wheels (bolt pattern correct but rims were not indented) I got them brand new don't remember brand for 75 bucks off craigslist. I sanded mounting surfaces, greased the acorns and loctited threads. Hand tightened and made baby steps tightening star pattern and Torqued to 100. Then did the same with the wheels to 90. I've rotated tires twice since and double checked torque and all has been well. I wanted hub centric spacers or rings but couldn't justify it with the luck I've had over the past year. Fleurys spacers are top notch and easy to install. I'm not running his due to a lapse in production, but if you aren't doing a spring and strut swap they are a breeze to put in. Just get ready to make the alignment shop scratch their heads a bit. My alignment shop is going to attend my funeral and bring sticks to poke me to make sure I'm really dead....
  10. I hate traveling too fast. The US is so diverse each state is literally like a different country. I see you don't have any Southern States on your list... Don't break down in the North East and expect any help, rudest place I've ever been in my life. Went to Pittsburg I walked 10 miles down an interstate after bursting a fuel line in 98 degree weather, walked past a police officer. Had to rent a screwdriver from an untrusting service station.... Bought my fuel hose and walked passed the same cop and nearly got run over fifty times. I crossed into Virginia and friendly folks everywhere. You can't break down in Western Ky because it causes a traffic jam with all the people trying to help you. I avoid northern states now. Lol. My wife always wanted to visit those places, I hope she enjoys it without me. June is your best bet.
  11. It sounds like your like me and short on funds and time... I would do what I do to all my work cars and worn out beaters. Cut the fenders bumpers and put on Kubota tires and raise hell till it goes down. But that's just me. I don't get attached to vehicles, I'm not nostalgic and I like raising lots of hell. (Besides you mentioned scrapping it... You can always total a vehicle, blow it up, shoot it at a bonfire, set it on fire and then scrap it)
  12. I would trade my mint 115k mile pathy for the same truck in a manual with boot... I hate the shift points after the lift and the mileage. I still love my truck but I hate my trans sooo much.
  13. I had to use 1" spacers to clear 265/70r16 and re drill holes for my plastic fender liner and trim bumper. Also remove almost all bracing for mud flaps. To clear 265/75r16's which are essentially a 33 I was going to have to lose mudflaps and mutilate front bumper... Not worth it to me so I ran the more expensive 70 series. You can do it but with that small a lift won't be pretty. As to question you'll be down to a sheet of paper clearance on strut without spacers, on the up hand 1' will let you tuck Warn hubs under the factory wheels dust covers with no hole in the center.
  14. I have friends that are lawyers that would write a very official letter for free... You should get one of those ASAP. A total engine failure will cost 3k plus if you don't swap it yourself with a used one.
  15. And if your like me once you remove skid plate, do all that work... Get the belt to quit squeaking, a bearing will start squeaking. Haha.
  16. I wouldn't waste my time with that LSD sell it to a sucker and get a real locker in there. I have an LSD and it's a nightmare. It'll get you killed when it's wet or Icy and won't do a darn thing in the mud.
  17. Nursing my hand. Got attacked by a possum... It died fast but i think I'm dying slow.

What, no whiskey to pour on it?

Running out of whiskey may have been what lead to the issue in the first place.

Possums do get pretty mad when they run out of whiskey.

  18. I don't know you or where you are or how much money you have or if your descriptions are accurate. Man it's tough on the Internet. I would replace PCV and O2 sensors. And MAF. You did fuel filter and air filter. Your running 5-30 or 10-30 oil. I'd use injector cleaner and run 93 and go from there.
  19. In my experience it was buy wheels or run spacers.... In the real world.
  20. Well... Makes me never want to spend money or build anything cool because it's just going to end up on CL for a nickel.
  21. Small lift? How small? Lol. I have 2.75" the max suspension lift on 32"a and people mistake my truck for a stock 4runner, it's depressing. Haha. Let me know if you have suspension questions. Can u hook me up with a stock radio, lol. Also, Welcome!!!
  22. Excellent! Haven't used the diamond hard (is that a specific flavor?), but I do use enamels when I can. They tend to hold up pretty well. Yeah the Diamond Hard is a brand that Rural King used to sell. I started using the spray paint and they quit selling it so I started ordering it on amazon by the case. They sold pints and quarts in oil based I believe. My brother cut it with toluene and had insanely good luck.
  23. If you can use the diamond hard enamel paint. I painted my truck frame with it and it leveled like glass and you could smack it with a hammer and not chip it off.
  24. Update! Just got my trax as revo 3.3 in the mail. It's a bad mamma jamma!!! With no instructions I had a heck of a time figuring out how to charge it lol. And I'm picking up a MBX7T Friday for my wife.... She said she wanted a brushless car and nothing too big then I came across the Mugen Monster 4x4 sucking nitro for $250. With the mods done it's an $800 dollar truck so my wife will have a better faster RC than me....
