I love that you know who it is haha. Clean build with the strangest butchery. I assume they were front bumpstops? Pretty sure those trucks are coil up front, but idk how many years back that's the case.

I know somebody who heard about the hockey puck bumpstop trick and massively misunderstood...he just slipped 3 or 4 through the coil and leaves em loose. Anyways...that's another good one, if done right!

Do you know what gen the truck was? I bet they're pretty cheap even new online and would be a good bit of information for anybody looking for a good/cheap solution.

Longer bolts (M8x1.25) and body lift spacers (3" diameter) is what I've heard being done.

@theexbrit is the guy that I know of rockin' an XJ snorkel if anybody is curious about that.

Honestly you could make just about anything work. Some guys have made an XJ snorkel fit, but a D22 Navara snorkel is the closest fit I believe, as Enri said.

Yeah, the lug nuts are different, I can take a pic but they have a necked down part that goes in the wheel, rather than just clamping against the face.

Toyota's are a little strange because a lot of them are lug centric and have a larger bore similar (if not exactly the same as) those spacers, so I'm guessing those spacers were intended for Toyota's but are sold for Nissan's since the bolt pattern is the same and they happen to fit. In any case, they'll certainly work as long as they're installed well like you said.

When I had wheels with a center bore that was too large I experienced slight wobble at higher speeds until I installed some centering rings, aren't these rigs hub centric?

Adding a fire extinguisher is an imprtamt thing that a lot of people forget. I'm glad I finally added one myself. Hope you never need to use yours!

The holes on mine were prethreaded. I did remove a hitch from a junkyard Pathy with the evap canister in place, but it would have certainly been easier if it had been removed. I think it's only three 10 mm bolts.

With my QX4 I added a Curt tubular Class IV hitch and a wire harness that plugs into the taillights from e-trailer. If you have access, you could go to a junkyard and find an OEM setup cheaply.

That's what's amazing me, this all happened really fast! Between this and LR springs there may be a killer combo for R50's coming to light.

Look different that I'd expected from that angle, cool that all that extra space could be had if needed. I'll be really interested to hear your results long-term, although I doubt there will be any negatives to report from how it looks.

To expand on what hawairish said, if you have a gap static you will always have the same gap; the suspension does not move in a way that will cause a change in the space there, so you're all good!

Always amazes me how much people neglect their spare tires. I can kind of understand those space savers, although checking them isn't hard...what really bothers me is people with 5 matching full size tires and don't rotate them appropriately. I think I've yet to see an SUV with a spare that isn't the "brand new" original underneath. There's quite a few cars around here that I see on space savers, sometimes multiple. As much as I like how little automobiles are regulated around here, there comes a point where things are plain dangerous and need to be kept in check.
