  1. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I know Tyler is a cool dude and has a well set-up Pathfinder so should have been a good time. Cool to see Buttercup on some rocks!
  2. A regular change is no big deal (like drain the pain and fill back up the appropriate level), the issue is a flush which is at a higher pressure and can loosen up that accumulated junk.
  3. There will be at the end of the year, Truck of the Year is handled by voting amongst the year's monthly winners. @YegorTheLlama hasn't won a month yet this year so if he or someone else were to submit this pic in an appropriate TotM nominations thread and won that month, the pic would be in the running for TotY.
  4. I believe @hawairish has a thread with info on super-packing an LSD somewhere. You can make it super tight if you want.
  5. I'd say your easiest solution would be to get an LSD from a Pathy with the right ratio and add more clutch material from any other LSD diff to make a good diff that'll easily fit in/match up with your rear end.
  6. September 2019: RainGoat *Pending official border.
  7. Congrats @RainGoat! *Pending official border.
  8. READ AND FOLLOW THE RULES! NOMINATIONS AND POSTS NOT CONFORMING TO THE RULES LINED OUT BELOW WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. 1. You can nominate only Pathfinder/Terrano/QX4 trucks belonging to Registered NPORA Forum Members. New members will have to wait 3 months and have a post count of 100 before they can be nominated. Members who are banned, currently on suspension or for 1 month after their return from suspension will also be disallowed. (If you are banned you won't be able to be nominated for 2 months). 1a. Include the name of the NPORA Member who's truck it is that you're nominating (even if it is yours) 2. NO FAKE OR JOKE ENTRIES. 2b. Only original, unaltered photos with out graphics, advertisement or watermarks will be accepted for nomination. (Actual permanent stickers are allowable.) 2c. Final acceptance of TotM Nominations pics and winner submissions is at the sole discretion of the NPORA Moderation Team. 3. First 20 nominees are up for consideration and the nomination thread will be closed after the 20th submission or the 20th of the month, which ever comes 1st. Voting will be from 21st-31th. 4. One pic per nomination post, pics must have at least 640x480 of usable image space for use in the in the official boarder in the event that it wins the popular vote. All nominations are subject to the approval of the Mod Team and all decisions are final. Try to make it a good one or nobody will vote for your nominee! A recent pic is preferred but if the Pathy is still in the same shape as your last pic, go ahead and use that. An offroad setting or action pic is also preferred, but not necessary. 5. Only one truck nomination per member per month. 5a. If multiple people want to nominate the same truck, it is up to the nominee to decide on which pic to run with. In the absence of the nominee, the decision will be made by NPORA Moderating Team 6. Winner gets 3 pics of their choice of their Pathfinder pinned in the TOTM forum (PM me the links please) and is ineligible for the remainder of the calendar year. 6a. A Member can only win once a year - multiple pathfinders does not mean multiple wins. 7. No post whoring. 8. Not reading these rules may result in a zombie attack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TOTM: THEMED MONTHS The idea was put forward by packie88 with then intention of getting people out in their pathys to get themed shots. It is only each alternate month that is themed, so you can post up whatever pic you want in the in between month (Some people will never see snow). It is a kind of rule, but a loose one. For example, water crossing nominations may be considered if there is a mud crossing, the truck is in water, or crossing the road in a torrential rainpour. If you post up a pic with no water in sight, then that will be removed. Below are the monthly themes: January Anything goes February Snow pic March Anything goes April Water crossing pic May Anything goes June Sand pic July Anything goes August Flex pic September Anything goes October Sunset pic October Sunset pic November Anything goes December Mud pic This nomination thread is open through October 20 or until 20 submissions are reached (whichever comes first).
  9. The only moving pieces on it should be the U-joints and slip joint, realistically the only part that should wear on it would be the U-joints which should be easy to check. It is not a "2-piece" style with the carrier bearing, that was only for the 2wd's I believe.
  10. True, but nominations are always done on the 20th of the month to give time for voting to be entirely contained in the month (although usually late because the 20th always seems to slip by...).
  11. Looks like you already won in January this year. As per rule 6a, this means you can't win again until 2020. Sorry!
  12. Going by an online backspacing calculator, looks like those wheels should give you about 3.5" of backspacing. In general, 3.75" is the magic number to clear the struts with bigger tires up front. Some people have cleared with up to 4.25" that I've seen, depending on tire width and such. In your case, with those wheels, your tires will be sticking out a tad more than the 3.75" backspacing would allow, so you're good there. To get another metric converted into a unit that's simpler, those tires are equivalent to a 33x10R16 (again going off an online calculator). Those are pretty narrow, so YMMV compared to what I'm about to say from my experience. With my R50 I had 3.75" backspace wheels (.25" more than you, so .25" further tucked in) and cleared 32x11.50R15 tires on the front strut with a bit of room to spare. In the rear however, with stock shocks and bumpstops, the tires interfered with the rear arch a fair bit. Doing rough math here, your tires will stick out 0.5" less than mine (taking into account the wheel backspacing and tire width difference), so I don't think that's enough of a difference for you to avoid the same rubbing issues I had. Frankly I don't think you're going to get around that while having enough backspacing to clear the struts up front. Best solution that I see is to just run that combo and plan to extend the rear bumpstop, either with an entirely different one from another vehicle, or more simply using a 2" thick by 3" diameter body lift spacer and a longer bolt to push the bumpstop down, thereby making it impossible for the tire to contact the arch. You can add some longer shocks out back to more than get back the articulation you're losing in uptravel. TL/DR: Yup, it'll clear the front struts just fine. Gonna rub the rear arches when flexing though.
  13. In general I have heard good things about Gibson exhaust, they're very popular with 4Runners. I'm not sure what the sound is like on a Pathfinder (although there's probably YouTube videos, so you could find out), but I'm sure the build quality is good.
  14. I wouldn't worry about it that much, any vehicle other than a big truck is going to get hurt by a deer real bad; does that stop people from sinking money into Corvettes and such? If you want the ultimate in deer protection get an F250 with a Ranch Hand bumper, otherwise just build the R50 as well as you can but understand that's more to improve it off-road and against minor traffic incidents than anything else.
  15. It's been done and discussed, since the forum's built in search tool can be clunky I'd suggest putting "site:nissanpathfinders.net/forum EGR delete" into Google and going from there.
  16. Moved from R50 section to WD21 section to match model year being discussed.
  17. Sounds like it's got just the right amount of stuff wrong with it!
  18. Maybe try both? Can't hurt...at least not until you want to get it off again!
  19. I can't believe they loosen up even with loctite! I assume you were using the blue kind? If so, maybe this is a situation where it wouldn't be inappropriate to use red.
  20. Sorry if I missed it, but what kind of nuts are they? May be worth giving nylock nuts a shot, not sure what the downsides of them may be though.
  21. If there's that much rust visible (and same goes for by the flare), I'm sorry to say that it's likely a lot worse than you think. Once you get the mirror off whatever it was attached to may crumble and you may not be able to reinstall it, hard to know until it's too late. Personally I've had bad luck with POR15, but not sure that there's anything I'd recommend instead; that stuff is just so expensive! Found this video btw, seems helpful.
