If you post up a pic with no water in sight, then that will be removed. 10. I'm assuming due to his complaint of sag, that the reason for installing a lift is to be able to take advantage of stiffer springs in the rear. I agree with your comments though. @PeteMcG003, if indeed your goal is to get better load carrying capacity in the rear, I would suggest helper air bags. There's a few threads on here about them. If you do want to go lifted in addition to increasing the load carrying capacity, I would also suggest echo the comment to avoid spacers; lift springs will save you a lot of trouble (CV wear, torn CV boots, having to redo it later, etc.), and they really aren't that hugely much more; probably a difference of ~$100. I'm a student too, so I know the struggle. A 1" spacer would be pretty safe if you feel that route is most appropriate to you. Another option would be to just get the rear LR springs and leave the front stock. They'll cheaply increase your load carrying capacity and begin moving you towards lifting the vehicle. The ride height difference will likely be something you can live with. A bit of rake on a SUV isn't uncommon anyways; a 4th gen 4Runner has ~2" of rake from the factory. If you frequently haul stuff in the back the weight will help keep the rake minimized anyways. Plus, you'll avoid having to deal with camber bolts and funky alignments.

  12. Also, obviously everything TotM related was lost post-May 2021. Luckily not too much happened, so I think I'll be able to piece things back together enough to get the appropriate winner threads made as well as a Truck of the Year 2021 voting poll. I'll probably leave that up for a little longer than usual, say to the end of April 2022.
  13. Apologies for my hiatus from TotM postings! With the issue that occurred with the forum in January, it seems best to wait until things were figured out. March 2022 is the first month where I feel it's "safe" to bring it back. Last year was pretty slow, hopefully this year can go a bit better! I've been seeing lots of really cool pics on social media; would be great to see some of it find its way here! -Matt
  14. Welcome to NPORA! Sorry, sometimes posts go unnoticed or nobody has a great suggestion to share. The transmission cooler isn't as big of an issue on these as it is with later Nissans (R51 Pathfinder and N50 Xterra) so the topic isn't extensively covered, but extra tranny coolers have been done on R50's (1996-2004 Pathfinder). Any generic cooler suitable for a midsize SUV should do, just find a place to mount it near the radiator. There was one particular kit from Amazon for pretty cheap that was popular for a little while but I've long since deleted that bookmark. Mounting will have to be custom pretty much whatever route you go.
  15. Man, that bull bar looks sweet! Factory bull bars just don't exist in the US, so I'm very envious. Sorry I can't help, just drooling!
  16. Wow, this is a great story, sounds like things really went great for ya lately! Looking forward to what you do with your R50, and very envious of your truck! Always liked those 10th gens.
