  1. Welcome! I think Jeep tax is even worse than Toyota tax, its insane.
  2. Haha welcome! Xterra is close enough to the same, you'll still find plenty of technical stuff on here that applies to your ride!
  3. Seeing that in the thumbnail is literally the only reason I'm going to watch that video
  4. Whoops, sorry this was locked! The entry period will be extended to February 27 due to this.
  5. That's a fantastic way for this story to continue!! Congrats on getting your old rig back. Mine has been scrapped so no hope of that for me... What are your plans with the other Pathy now? I vote for keep it and keep buying more - call it a collection so it sounds fancy.
  6. It sounds like you've already done some offroading and enjoy it, so I'd encourage three essential mods; none exciting, but all very important to having a good time offroad and keeping your dad happy. 1. Maintenance. Make sure everything that is broken is fixed. Worn out suspension bushings? Replace them. Check engine light? Check codes and address. Etc. 2. Comms. It's best to never go offroad alone, especially if you have a pretty much stock vehicle, and a good CB or GMRS radio makes it a lot more fun so you can chat with your friends while driving. They can also make a good emergency device if you can find a channel somebody is listening on. 3. Tires. No need to go crazy. 31's should fit stock (especially if you go for a skinnier size; I'd shoot for about 10.5" wide, so if you have 15" wheels stock I'd go for 31x10.5R15). If not you'll only need the slightest bit of trimming. If you go larger than 31" you'll need offset wheels and they you'll have way more rubbing due to increased scrub radius when turning and the tires may not tuck behind the wheel arches anymore. A good tread pattern will make an enormous difference, I'd avoid the mud tires for a daily driver and stick with a good all terrain like BFG KO2 or Falken Wildpeak AT3W. It's not an exciting list and the visual difference will be close to nothing, but those few things will really allow you to enjoy your vehicle to its fullest without blowing a ton of money on it or making it unpleasant to daily drive.
  7. Welcome! Seems like more and more people are running Lokkas these days. Glad you found NPORA, post pics!
  8. Welcome! Sounds like you've got Nissan coursing through your veins, you'll fit right in here. Pics!
  9. Welcome to NPORA, good looking wheelin rig! Hope ya don't lose your Yota, but if so I'm sure you'll be very happy in a Nissan. I had a '02 QX4 myself, so I'm pretty partial to your rig haha.
  10. Welcome! Sounds like quite the fixer-upper. I agree with @FirstGenFreak, if you can do the suspension on a Hilux (and have the time) you can do it on this too. Pics!
  11. Welcome, congrats on the new-to-you ride! Pics!
  12. Welcome @buchwe @JMC @DantheHitman! Glad you all found NPORA!

  14. READ AND FOLLOW THE RULES! NOMINATIONS AND POSTS NOT CONFORMING TO THE RULES LINED OUT BELOW WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. 1. You can nominate only Pathfinder/Terrano/QX4 trucks belonging to Registered NPORA Forum Members. New members will have to wait 3 months and have a post count of 100 before they can be nominated. Members who are banned, currently on suspension or for 1 month after their return from suspension will also be disallowed. (If you are banned you won't be able to be nominated for 2 months). 1a. Include the name of the NPORA Member who's truck it is that you're nominating (even if it is yours) 2. NO FAKE OR JOKE ENTRIES. 2b. Only original, unaltered photos with out graphics, advertisement or watermarks will be accepted for nomination. (Actual permanent stickers are allowable.) 2c. Final acceptance of TotM Nominations pics and winner submissions is at the sole discretion of the NPORA Moderation Team. 3. First 20 nominees are up for consideration and the nomination thread will be closed after the 20th submission or the 20th of the month, which ever comes 1st. Voting will be from 21st-31th. 4. One pic per nomination post, pics must have at least 640x480 of usable image space for use in the in the official boarder in the event that it wins the popular vote. All nominations are subject to the approval of the Mod Team and all decisions are final. Try to make it a good one or nobody will vote for your nominee! A recent pic is preferred but if the Pathy is still in the same shape as your last pic, go ahead and use that. An offroad setting or action pic is also preferred, but not necessary. 5. Only one truck nomination per member per month. 5a. If multiple people want to nominate the same truck, it is up to the nominee to decide on which pic to run with. In the absence of the nominee, the decision will be made by NPORA Moderating Team 6. Winner gets 3 pics of their choice of their Pathfinder pinned in the TOTM forum (PM me the links please) and is ineligible for the remainder of the calendar year. 6a. A Member can only win once a year - multiple pathfinders does not mean multiple wins. 7. No post whoring. 8. Not reading these rules may result in a zombie attack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TOTM: THEMED MONTHS The idea was put forward by packie88 with then intention of getting people out in their pathys to get themed shots. It is only each alternate month that is themed, so you can post up whatever pic you want in the in between month (Some people will never see snow). It is a kind of rule, but a loose one. For example, water crossing nominations may be considered if there is a mud crossing, the truck is in water, or crossing the road in a torrential rainpour. If you post up a pic with no water in sight, then that will be removed. Below are the monthly themes: January Anything goes February Snow pic March Anything goes April Water crossing pic May Anything goes June Sand pic July Anything goes August Flex pic September Anything goes October Sunset pic November Anything goes December Mud pic This nomination thread is open through February 20 or until 20 submissions are reached (whichever comes first).
  15. Welcome back! Good luck with getting the rig fixed back up nicely!
  16. If you don't notice much difference in road manners with it off, I'd say maybe try again with more load (passengers and maybe a trailer?) and then some off-road testing then make a final decision on if you went to repair or leave it off. When working on any car older than 10 here in salty Michigan USA I fully expect to cut, torch, or drill out at least 1 bolt for every job. Now I'm pretty fanatical about keeping corrosion away from anything that hasn't been ruined yet. Had to cut the front lower control arms off my 2003 4Runner, and my dad's 5 year old Tacoma isn't much better off.
  17. Voting for the best truck of 2020 is live until the end of January! Get your votes in now, and don't forget to submit your rig to the 2021 TotM threads for cool internet points!

  18. Sweet wheeling action! @hawairish's rig is seriously capable, super cool seeing it in action.
  19. Those lights would likely work well and the way you want to wire them is legit, but I echo R50JR's concerns; it's probably technically illegal and may cause you trouble using them on the road. Some states even require them to be covered when on the road, but ones that small in the bumper would fly under the radar with regards to that. If you want brighter fogs you should be able to find LED bulbs that fit in the stock housings, but a picky cop could probably get you on that, although it would be very unlikely and pretty much isn't a risk in my opinion. Unlike just dropping an LED in a headlight housing, you shouldn't have any serious negative side effects from using an LED bulb in a fog light. You may be able to find something like this from a place light superbrightleds.
  20. What's the story on that 4Runner? Abandoned? Looks like it was pretty nice. I also thought it was your Pathy at first!
