  1. I am too, I know a 4Runner isn't terribly relevant to the issue but it is DBW and now I'm curious! I've been getting in the habit of two-footing it myself honestly, but I still don't trust my left foot with the brakes enough.
  2. My usual go-to for a quick check is RockAuto, looks like you can get the bumper cover but fender is out of stock; may be that nobody produces them anymore? If you can find rust free replacements at a u-pull junkyard that would be great, but could be challenging in NJ. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1998,pathfinder,3.3l+v6,1316833,body,fender,1380
  3. That generation was from '96-'04, but a facelift occurred halfway through which is why you're seeing parts that are only compatible for 99-04. The bumper definitely won't work and I'm pretty sure the fenders won't either. All the bolt holes underneath are the same so you could probably make the parts fit, but the body lines wouldn't flow at all.
  4. Wow, that's a much better price than I've generally seen, I love it!! A Patrol is 100% on my wish list, although I'm torn if I'd rather have a Y60 like that or a Y61.
  5. Congrats @Mrelcocko! *Pending official border.
  6. READ AND FOLLOW THE RULES! NOMINATIONS AND POSTS NOT CONFORMING TO THE RULES LINED OUT BELOW WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. 1. You can nominate only Pathfinder/Terrano/QX4 trucks belonging to Registered NPORA Forum Members. New members will have to wait 3 months and have a post count of 100 before they can be nominated. Members who are banned, currently on suspension or for 1 month after their return from suspension will also be disallowed. (If you are banned you won't be able to be nominated for 2 months). 1a. Include the name of the NPORA Member who's truck it is that you're nominating (even if it is yours) 2. NO FAKE OR JOKE ENTRIES. 2b. Only original, unaltered photos with out graphics, advertisement or watermarks will be accepted for nomination. (Actual permanent stickers are allowable.) 2c. Final acceptance of TotM Nominations pics and winner submissions is at the sole discretion of the NPORA Moderation Team. 3. First 20 nominees are up for consideration and the nomination thread will be closed after the 20th submission or the 20th of the month, which ever comes 1st. Voting will be from 21st-31th. 4. One pic per nomination post, pics must have at least 640x480 of usable image space for use in the in the official boarder in the event that it wins the popular vote. All nominations are subject to the approval of the Mod Team and all decisions are final. Try to make it a good one or nobody will vote for your nominee! A recent pic is preferred but if the Pathy is still in the same shape as your last pic, go ahead and use that. An offroad setting or action pic is also preferred, but not necessary. 5. Only one truck nomination per member per month. 5a. If multiple people want to nominate the same truck, it is up to the nominee to decide on which pic to run with. In the absence of the nominee, the decision will be made by NPORA Moderating Team 6. Winner gets 3 pics of their choice of their Pathfinder pinned in the TOTM forum (PM me the links please) and is ineligible for the remainder of the calendar year. 6a. A Member can only win once a year - multiple pathfinders does not mean multiple wins. 7. No post whoring. 8. Not reading these rules may result in a zombie attack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TOTM: THEMED MONTHS The idea was put forward by packie88 with then intention of getting people out in their pathys to get themed shots. It is only each alternate month that is themed, so you can post up whatever pic you want in the in between month (Some people will never see snow). It is a kind of rule, but a loose one. For example, water crossing nominations may be considered if there is a mud crossing, the truck is in water, or crossing the road in a torrential rainpour. If you post up a pic with no water in sight, then that will be removed. Below are the monthly themes: January Anything goes February Snow pic March Anything goes April Water crossing pic May Anything goes June Sand pic July Anything goes August Flex pic September Anything goes October Sunset pic November Anything goes December Mud pic This nomination thread is open through November 20 or until 20 submissions are reached (whichever comes first).
  7. Since the frame swap it's driven GREAT. I love the combination of 5100's and poly bushings, can definitely feel every bump in the road but on the flip side I can absolutely fly down trails up until I bottom out. (Fancy-ish bump stops are on the to-do list once stuff stops breaking.) Not missing the rear sway bar either; if anything I corner harder than ever now because the lean is fun. Seems like everything I didn't replace is coming around to kick my butt. Had the driver's side CV completely fail at the outer joint, and with it being full time 4wd I had to lock the center diff to limp it home...slowly. 2 weeks later the wheel bearing on that side went out. Way way easier to replace on an R50, I hate how it's splined and clipped inside the diff on Toyota's. In the last month I've had the check engine light come on 3 times for P0430 which is "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold, Bank 2" so I guess at this point I have to admit there really is something wrong. Might swap out the downstream O2 sensor on that side just in case, but I suspect it really is a cat. It needs manifolds anyways, really hoping I can push it off until sometime next summer. Pretty happy headers and high flow cats are cheaper than stock though, makes it hurt a bit less to spend money on something other than offroad stuff again. Oh, and also there's a drivetrain clunk that I haven't been able to find as well as a steering wheel shake, both have been intermittent for about the last 9-10 months but seem to be more regular now. May have to let a pro look into those, although IDK how I wouldn't have noticed something when it was all apart. So other than basically everything being broken, it's been awesome lol. Rolled over 190k last week too, not a bad start.
  8. Looks like some gnarly trails! I haven't made my way through the vids in their entirety yet, but it is disappointing to see the Pathy seem to struggle so much, I'll be really interested to see what the true culprit turns out to be. Would be cool to see a side by side comparison of auto/wire, manual/wire, auto/cable, and manual/cable to really narrow it down.
  9. I like composite toes, they'll protect to a point then break rather than bend. Plus they don't get cold in winter. If it came down to steel toes or nothing I'd take steel though.
  10. Truck looks gnarly, but so does the rust! I can't imagine that'll be cheap at all to fix.
  11. Can't get rid of something that you have 30 years of history with, hang onto that thing!
  12. Holy heck that's nice!!! But what a sum of money for an old SUV...
  13. Not sure if the Nissan one is as detailed, but for my 4Runner the Factory Service Manual wiring diagrams are extremely detailed, telling you every connector and ground (and where they're located) that wiring for each system goes through, which may be handy in tracking this issue down a bit on paper before going nuts tearing your interior apart. It can be very frustrating trying to figure out where a wire comes out once it enters a dash loom and you can't see what's going on.
  14. If you're concerned about broken wires I'd find both ends (which will likely be spread across various plugs so it'll be a bit of a pain) and start doing some continuity testing with the ol' multimeter. I agree with Slart though, sounds to me like one major plug is messed up somewhere.
  15. Good point, forgot to mention that. The part you remove for my solution is where that sensor is normally mounted. I drilled a new hole in the side of the airbox for the sensor. Never had a code issue.
