Thats the way my 94s mounted

WHOO HOO Finally my Targa bar has shipped, I've been working this deal for 11 months and it's finally on it's way. Pics to follow after install

we did the deed and went to radio shack and picked up a packs of bulbs, disassembled the switches and removed the rubber piece that holds the bulb. The wires are kind of wrapped around the rubber light socket, installed the new bulbs and trimmed the excess wire then reistalled them in the switch. When reassembling the switch it's easier if you have the rocker on the part with the bulb then just snap it back together. One switch went together with no problems the other I had to disassemble about 4 times before I got it right, but now we have lights in both switches. Anyone doing this just take your timeas it can get frustrating with the tiny wires and the reassemblyWell

Found a 97 pathy at the pickapaart and grabbed the console for the 94, the only prob was it was 2X4 auto and the 94 is a stick 4X4 so have to make some mods will also have to mount the switches differently. 4 switches 3 slots this may be fun

yeah even a couple of the mount holes lined up, it is quite a bit heavier then the Taurus fan, but I'll take the weight for the better cooling I think it will give. I haven't checked the amperage for the different speeds but I will and post them for anyone that's interested

We finally installed the Maxima fans it was an easy install with just a couple of mods, and I like the way they cover the rad, aIso plenty of room. The 4 bladed fan is 2 speed, low speed I'll hook it up with temp sensor the high speed wil hook up with the the other fan to a manual switch. It should give better cooling then the Taurus Opps the pics loaded backwards

Spoiler/deflector helps keep the rear glass cleaner

I tapped into the cig/acc light and it works fine ,it didn't make any diff on the way I hooked them up

thats the way I did my 88, I think that's the way to go, I already have an inline tranny filter just before the Rad. and running an exploder cooler and a taurus fan. We went to vegas last week and pulling the Baker grade the Autometer gauge hit 230 which I thought was pretty good considering the outside temp About the grade The grade is 15+ miles long and I think it is between 4% at the bottom, and maybe up to 8% near the top. AND, the temps there can easily be 115+ in the shade

Neither light works on my 94 but the seats do heat up, I have no key fob for the alarm but when it's armed I have about 30 seconds to put the key in the ignition and turn it on.

that's what I did, pulled the end caps and slid the caged nuts out and ran 2 1/2 in bolts through them, had to cut the bolt heads in half for clearance then had to use spacers to keep the basket off the roof, works great only bad thing with all I had loaded up there it cut my mileage by almost 3 miles per gal, it's like stacking a small brick wall on top of a large brick wall. So instead of the lab getting the back half of the pathy he's back in his crate and luggage is back inside

Decided to install a light on the gauge, ran the 2 wires to the acc/cig lighter light and tapped in before the plug. Works just like all the others dims and brightens when the dash lights do.

If you don't have cruise then there should have been a cap plug on there with age they will rot and fall off. take a short piece of hose and put a screw in it or a golf tee works also then stick it on the nipple

installed trans, temp gauge yesterday in the 88, mounted the sending unit in the banjo bolt for the outlet line. So far highest temp has been 170. Auto meter pro comp gauge

Now if you moved to the Yuma area you wouldn't need to smog it, if I remember there are 3 counties in Az, that do not require smog but Maricopa isn't one like Trog said if you can pass Ca. Az will be no problem

is the noise on am & fm or just am, if just am it might be the supressor on the alt the little condensor that mounts to the back of the alt

it's the evap not the condenser I don't know if Nissan still does it but back in the late 80s or early 90s they were having that problem with mold growing in the evap box. Thery came out with a spray kit that we used to kill the mold, we had to use a respirator as the spray was pretty toxic, evrytime I did 1 I had a headache for a couple of hours, real nasty stuff

My old 88 cluncker with 240,000 miles on it just passed smog today here in California, and next month we're going on a 2000 mile trip in it to Nv. Co. NM Az and bsck home, ain't old clunckers great

Installed an exploader tranny cooler in place of the aftermarket one that was on the 88, then took it down to get it smogged, I was a little worried with the new regs Ca. has put,out, but she passed with flying colors. Tomorrow I'm replacing the taurus fan with a dual maxima, it's,a little heavier but I think it will be worth it

I found a rapist red one at pickapart about a year ago $10.00 if I remember

Got most of the square tubing cut for the roof rack and got the base welded, still trying to decide how i want to do the flooring, extruded or square tube, oh well thats going to be the last thing I do, get all the framework welded first and go from there

We did about a 150 mile round trip today in 90 degree plus heat with the 3.8 taurus fan in our 88 and the temp gauge never went over half way and only the low speed is hooked up. Someone here in the forums said the taurus fan sucked the chrome off the traier ball on the truck in front of them

I always open mine when I park during the day, every little bit helps getting the heat out here in so ca

Pulled the TB on the 88 and replaced the heater with one I'd modified Ha who needs it in so ca, while I had the TB off cleaned the MAF and noticed a little corosion on the connectors a little tuner tonic and 600 wet or dry all nice and shiny, it even seems to run a little better. Maybe my imagination but it seems to. Going down next week and picking up 50 feet of 1 inch square aluminum tubing for my Baja rack, I've about given up hope on the Targa bar so will build a rack and install my daylighters on it. If I ever do get the targa bar I can always swap the rack over to the 94

The high side goes to the condenser do not try and charge from there, only use the low side port for charging thats the side that goes to the firewall. Again if you see bubbles or a soapy looking solution its low on freon, With the engine running and the A/C on watch the sight glass as the system fills the bubbles will go away when the bubbles are gone close the valve at the can then remove the hose from the compresser. The only time you would hook up to the high side is if your using a gauge set and you would still charge from the low side Over charging the system could damage the system or it will not cool properly
