  1. The metal max fan fits the the rad almost perfect but it will have to be notched out for the alt. I was going to use the later plastic one but it over lapped the rad to far to suit me
  2. you might try silicone on the window track, also on the starter if you have a 5 speed the problem could be in the starter interlock relay
  3. flushed the brake system out on the 88 might do the 94 tomorrow
  4. I started with the taurus on the 88 but decided to go with the maxima as it covered the rad completely I used a maxima temp sensor mounted in the metal tube in the upper rad hose to kick in the low speed fan and a switch on the dash for the high speed fan. (relays on both) in the last month the temps have been over 100 here and engine temps have been running around 190/ 200 with the A/C on. Installed the the same way on the 94 except I haven't wired in the high speed yet, want to set it up with the A/C.
  5. I was still wrenching at the time and we could tell the difference between a Japanese and a smyrna built vehicle, just subtle little things, but after a couple of years they got better
  6. installed a 90 amp alt on the 88 yesterday, and today the wife's 94 battery takes a crap. luckily had a spare 90 amp alt from the pap half price sale $50,00 for 2
  7. 88 auto about 15, 94 5spd 17 to 18, \ A couple of tanks out of Ca and the 94 is pushing 19 mpg
  8. I think I'd slow down to about 3500 to 4000 rpm, your working an older engine and building up pressure that the pvc can't handle all of it
  9. I wouldn't worry, when charging my 36 V cart just before the charger shuts down it's reading 44.6V normal voltage at full charge is 38.2 or 38.4
  10. washed the pecan tree sap off the 88 & 94, luckly it comes off with normal water pressure
  11. Also if it's a 5 speed it could be the clutch relay acting up
  12. screwed up the crank seal and had to order another one. Back together and running and installed the maxima fan assembly and and maxima temp sensor, fan kicks in just above half on the gauge
  13. I do all my own oil changes, so they come off easy
  14. started the timing belt replacement on the 94 yesterday, after getting it opened up noticed the crank seal seeping and 1 cam seal leaking hopefully will have it back running this evening. Hate letting Momma drive my 88
  15. The first time we took our 88 to Baja we got it stuck a few times with the auto hubs, as was said above about a tire rotation or 3 ft to engage or disengage, so in soft stuff rocking back and forth your basically going to be in 2wd. We now run Warn hubs on both our Pathys
  16. New 245/75R16s on the 94, now I can take it back in the morning and get the fronts rebalanced a shimmy at 70
  17. New 245/75R16s on the 94, now I can take it back in the morning and get the fronts rebalanced a shimmy at 70
  18. drained the tranny on the 94 and was able to get 5 qts back in her ran her up on the ramps on the pass. side. no prob getting the the drain or fill plugs out Replaced the little plastic piece of crap that holds the door lock rod to the latch on the drivers side on the 88
  19. <---- had that 1 stolen when we were in Tucson cops told me it was probably across the border within an hr of being stolen
