  1. I've got the factory locks in my 94, and if the key is in the ignition the doors won't lock
  2. Last week we had snow on the ground, this week it's in the 80s. Sunny southern California
  3. Repliacing all the coolant hoses on the 88 and gaskets on the tube under the intake manifold, and modified the brass/copper tube in the upper rad hose it now has the temp sensor for the low speed fan and temp sending unit soldered in it also a factory thermostat
  4. when it closes you should here a clunk of the door closing, if you don't it's not closing all the way
  5. Might try adjusting the cable, if it isn't closed tight the pressure will blow the door open
  6. I've wondered if the rear legs could be lengthened to level it to match the roof??
  7. possibly a bad diode feeding back
  8. I used the temp sensor from the maxima and the threaded part it screwed into, I had to cut the threaded part out of the rad If you can find a TBI pathy take the metal tube from the upper rad hose remove the air vent from it and solder the threaded part in its place. Ive done this on my 88 and 94 and have had no heating problems, wired the low fan to the sensor and relay, hi speed fan is switched and relay. All the parts from pick a part except some wiring
  9. Looks like the one in the wifes 94 pathy. My 88pathy has a QX4 center console in it, slight mod to the P brake, slotted for the seat belt looks good
  10. possibly the same size as the bulbs in the heated seat switches, if they are you can get them at radio shack. I did a how to on the seat switches a year or so ago
  11. OT LOL My son drives comercial and has been trying for 4 years to get his 65 El Camino back together. He only needs about 3 days of solid work to get it on the road
  12. what we did was pull the seat bottoms cut the rivets out and replaced them with removable pins, takes a couple of minutes to pull or replace them. gives extra room for storage. Should be a how to on here somewhere
  13. speedo repair shop could do it. Back in the 60s thats how I made my extra spending money on weekends hitting a few used car lots
  14. did the rear brakes on the 88, and replaced two wheel studs on the rear of the 94. It took longer to do the studs then the brakes
  15. I've swapped gauges and sending units in my 88, when it's reading empty it still has about a 1/4 tank when it's full it will read between 3/4 and 7/8 of a tank, low fuel light came on 1 time about 30 seconds before it ran out of gas. I'm beginning to think it's in the wiring
  16. tires or speedo gear would be my guess
  17. I'd do the same, I'd rather spend a little on a timing belt. and waterpump, seals, and tstat. then maybe replace a engine
  18. Took the 88 in for it's smog test today here's the readings just had to post them AWESOME rpm %CO2 %02 HC ppm CO% NO% max avg meas max avg meas max avg meas 15mph 1819 15.0 0.2 118 53 29 0.68 0.26 0.01 699 193 157 PASS 25mph 1762 15.1 0.1 73 40 9 0.61 0.28 0.02 601 168 76 PASS a little over 250.000 miles on it never been rebuilt, I did replace the 02 sensor and the cat in the last month. The odrive was on thats why a lower rpm at 25 mph
  19. I started out with a smaller cooler but it was running a bit on the warm side, I'd heard of some others here using the ford explorer cooler so I added that to the other one and now it very seldom gets above 180/190 degrees
  20. inlet from tranny to rad on my 88 is on the right side looking forward, made sure when I installed the inline filter
