  1. to be on the safe side when you get the engine out pull the converter and replace the front tranny seal, might save a headache later on
  2. +1 thats what I did on my 88, it's a tight fit but leave the converter with the tranny
  3. plus 1 had 1 on the wifes 94, replaced it last weekend, now it's on my 88 with the 3.3
  4. Finally found the right oil filter base for my 3.3 conversion, a 2000 Exterra also the alt was on the drivers side so I grabbed the adjusting bracket. It's getting close have almost all the interior electrical done all from a 95 pathy with the dash
  5. if they're warn hubs contact the company, they're pretty good on sending replacements
  6. if it is stuck an easy way to get the screws out of the switch is with a moto dremal and a cut off blade just cut a slot in the screw heads
  7. it was the San Bernardino pick a part row 9 east space 6, if I remember correctly you can go online and see it, but it looks different now
  8. did not get into it, but I imagine there was some type metering in the the line to the intake, this was back in the late 60s early 70s
  9. wen't to pick a part this morning to grab door and fender for the 94 and found a set of thorley headers and a pair of ucas not sure of the brand. Oh and got her door and fender
  10. when I was working at a ford dealership the pd cars were using a water injection system, kept them very clean. We used to p-ss off the service manager by running atf thru the carb to clean carbon, both ways work
  11. I did mine when I replaced the hinge bushings and pins
  12. no I read it, start at the farthest wheel from the master cyl and work towards the closest, rt rear, left rear, rt frt, left frt , unless you have a right hand drive vech then start on the opposite side bleed the left rear until you get new clean fluid, brake fluid should be changed at intervals
  13. bleed the system possible air in the system. squealing brakes could be glaze buildup on the rotors or pads
  14. went to pickapart this morning and pulled a complete dash from a 95, pad has some cracks but I'll pick up a cover for it. Dash and a steering wheel with the cruise buttons on it and a light switch and wiper switch total i27.00 military discount. Slowly getting the 88 back togetherd
  15. the 3.3 is sitting in the 88 and bolted in slowly working on removing the 88 wire loom and installing the 95 loom, but it's too dam hot during the day to work on it so only working on it early mornings and late afternoons. Still trying to come up with a crank pully
  16. its been done, and there was a thread about doing it about a week ago. when you find one get the front metal brace
  17. I thought I did a thread on it a couple of years ago, maybe a little longer
  18. I did it, make sure you get the crossmember at the front of the speakers, rear headliner can be trimmed to fit around the speaker headliner
  19. swapping parts to the 3-3 might be able to set it in tomorrow. Stil lwaiting to hear fromMr.510onthe crank pully and alt and ps brackets
  20. its me again, he emailed me on June 21 I emailed him back on the 22 saying I'd take the pulley and alt and ps brackets but I havent heard back from him since then, not sure how busy he is but could you give him another call. Picking the 3.3 up this Tuesday. Thanks in advance AL
  21. pulled the engine on the 88 this morning, picking up the 3.3 Tuesday. Was able to pull the engine without dropping the front 3rd member just enough clearance , glad it's a auto.
  22. our pecan trees do the same thing every spring and early summer, but it does wash off easy
  23. push down on the relay it should slide off the mounting bracket, remove the plug with the large wires, the one on our 94 the wires are black with a yellow stripe remove that plug and install the jumper wire( REMEMBER IT WILL START IN GEAR WITHOUT PUSHING IN THE CLUTCH IF YOU DO THIS)
  24. drilled out the broken timing belt tensioner stud tapped the hole replaced the stud and installed a new timing belt on the 94, luckly it didn't jump time 220.000 miles on this one. When the one broke on my 88 it left me stranded almost 260.000 miles on the 88. anyone else have one break??
