  1. what does it say on the tires, the manufacturer will say a lower tire pressure for a softer ride, I always go with what the tire says also better gas milage
  2. just checked the 94 parts pathy the wire is yellow with a black stripe, look behind the Battery where the starter cable comes up there should be 2 grey plugs in the harness one of them should have that wire
  3. it's usually tucked in with the starter cable, if I remember it's black with a yellow stripe
  4. don't know the model # but it's the 2 inch electric when I had the 3'0 in it it would run about 28 and idle at about 5 had a little over 350.000 on it the 3'3 is a JDM engine
  5. started pulling the harness out of the 94 and it will be going in the new 88, will take pics as I go on the 88. Haven't decided on a 3.0 or a 3'3 all depends on prices
  6. my 3.3 idles about 25 and will go up to about 50 I'm running all Autometer gauges water temp oil pressure and auto tranny temp
  7. when the d21s and wd21s first came out Nissan leased a bunch of them to the city of San Diego for the lifeguards, very soon they were being towed in to Pacific Nissan where I worked and the ecus were fried. We found that the velour seats were leaking salt water down onto the ecu we started bagging them in plastic to keep the water off of them. If your going to be in deep water I'd move itto a higher location or try and seal it up so water can't get in it
  8. possibly cat coming apart they will rattle when they start to come apart
  9. LOL don't feel bad I have 2 88s a 94 and a 95 in my driveway, the 94 is the parts car. if you have any ?s I'll try and help
  10. I spent about 4 1/2 hrs pulling the main harness, the dash will have to be pulled for the heater a/c and radio wiring also to run the wiring to the engine compt. both sides, pulling all the seats makes it a lot easier. I know you said you wanted to keep the square dash but remember the electronic speedo in the rounded dash. I'dd o the complete loom. hope this helps
  11. the main harness goes from the tail lights to the headlights, sub harnesses to dash, to engine, rear hatch, frt doors. dome light and possibly vanity mirror lights on the visors. I did my 88 but I also replaced the dash and cluster when I installed a 3.3 in my 88 it would be easier to just swap out the complete electrical, I even swapped out my side mirrors now they are heated
  12. probably the starter solenoid on the starter
  13. slowly taking off the old blue window tint off the white 88, still have do the door windows, and almost done with the rear hatch glass. Sure looks alot better
  14. the guy I bought it from had 2 a 95 with some left frt body damage and the 88. got them both for 1350.00 pulled the fender, hood, grill, frt bumper off my 94 with the bad engine luckily same color, and mama likes the auto tranny better then the 5 spd. been driving the 95 for a month now and it runs sweet
  15. no headers and it has ca plates on it, it has Jim Conner racing ucas and double shocks haven't gotten underneath it yet 5spd, manual windows got it from a guy in OntarioCa
  16. starting in on the new 88 I picked up a week ago, supposedly a tbelt was installed and it wouldn't start. My driveway is starting to look like a pathfinder convention 2 88s a 94 and a 95, the 94 is going to be my parts vehicle.
  17. as far as I know Mr 510 is not making the crank adapters anymore, I tried to get the last one and missed out by a couple of days I used the PS, alt, mounts from a 2000 Exterra also the the oil filter base plate and the belt afjusters and crank pulley.
  18. I can tell the difference in my 88 between the 3.0 and the 3.3 even with the 95 intake and plemum on the 3.3 I just picked up another 88, haven't checked out the engine to see whats wrong with it, but if it's major I'll go the 3.3 route on it also
  19. the 94 and 95 are silver the 1 88 is white the other is red
  20. and the alt has a bolt from the adjusting bracket to loosen then another bolt for the adjustment at the end of the bracket 14 and 12 mm if I remember correctly
  21. the 88 I picked up yesterday had an 1988 truck and pathfinder factory manual in it, if anyone needs info I'll try and copy what you need
  22. if I do another one I'll have the3.0 crank pulley machined out to fit the 3.3 crank and save a lot of headaches
  23. I used the mounts and drive from 2000 exterra for the alt ps and a/c crank pulley, basically the frt drive pulleys and belt adjustersl
  24. I got mine at JDM in Santa Fe Springs a complete engine, suposedly under 60.000 miles paid about $900.00 for it. Like said above I swapped over a 95 plenum and intake. If you get one from a wrecking yard try and get a 2000 to 2002 exterra, you;ll have the right angle on the oil filter base and the ps and alt will be on the proper sides. I just wish Mr 510 was still making the crank pulleys it would save a lot of headaches
