  1. Do like I believe most of us here do, timing belt, water pump, drive belts all at the same time, saves time and money in the long run
  2. That damn relay caused a lot of problems when they first came out, try smacking it or make a jumper wire to jump across the 12 gauge wire terminals on the relay plug. Just make sure it's in neutral or the clutch pedal is pushed in
  3. If you can't find it, try some Berrymans B12 in the spray can it works great for finding vacuum leaks, it also works pretty good as a starting fluid

  5. My 88 SE 3.0 Auto LSD has 4.6 My 94 SE 3.0 5 Speed LSD has 4.3
  6. Installed the 90 amp max alt on the 88, was even able to scrounge spacers for the pulley out of my junk, it's all good
  7. This goes back a few years and I believe it was the NP 208 transfer case that Ford, Dodge, and GMC were using. GMC was using ATF, ford was using 90 weight gear oil and dodge was using 50 weight gear oil same transfer case just different lubricants
  8. Finally got around to replacing the PS pump on the 88, changed the coolant and added distilled water to top it off. Had the 90amp alt tested today and it checked out good,so that's next on the 88. The JY hood is almost ready to install,I thought it was cherry when I grabbed it on first, but after getting it home found a few spots that needed work.
  9. I can think of a couple of reasons for price differences windshield antenna and tint. My 94 has an aftermarket windshield and no antenna in it and the tint seems lighter then the 88
  10. It's been many years, but check the feed for the stator wire possibly a loose connection at the plug into the alt
  11. my 94 has leather heated seats but no power, and when its cold I'd rather climb into the 88 with non heated cloth seats

Spent most of yesterday prowling 2 pickaparts, ended up with 1 hood for the 88, 1 lego wheel couldn't get the locking wheel lug off the other 1, 2 max alts, 1 max cooling fan set up, it matches the 88 pathy rad almost perfect. Had to drive almost 50 miles to the 2nd one but it was well worth it, found my rapist red 93 door panels for the 88. Installed the panels today. Got the taurus fan all hooked up on the 88 with the engine running I let it get up to 190 before kicking in the low speed fan it dropped to almost 150 within 5 minutes didn't even check the hi speed fan
  13. I was still working in a dealership when Smyrna started producing vehicles, they were close but we could still tell the difference. It wasn't anything major, but just little things that we spotted.

  16. I've had a 93 Taurus Radiator electric fan sitting around for a few months, and decided to start the install today on the 88. I checked the amperage on the different speeds and here's what I came up with, low speed start was 19 amps run dropped down to 9 amps, High speed start was 54 amps run was 24. I'm hitting pickapart in Ontario Ca. this Sunday as they are having a 1/2 price sale on everything, I plan on using a Maxima rad temp sensor and bung from the radiator. Pics will follow when its completed. Also plan on a couple of Maxima alts and a few other parts, what a great way to spend New Years day :dance:
  17. Also the input shaft slides into the clutch pack, possibly 1 or more of the clutches could have slipped out of alignment in that case the input shaft will not seat all the way into the tranny
  18. Sounds like the connecter was grounding out
  19. If the switch isn't unplugged have you downloaded the fsm go to Bf section and down to mirrors it has the electrical there good luck

Go back to my first post and click on post 1111 it will take you to the what did you do for your pathfinder to day scroll down to post 1103 and post 1111 has pics edit to add Remember the speakers went in an 88 pathy that's why I had the difference with the headliner, when you get the speaker assembly get the headliner also it should fit right in your 91
  21. Does the noise lessen on deceleration, my 88 has a gear noise but on decel it lessens, just a thought
  22. Not sure about the frt speaker size, but I did a write up and the rear speaker install post 1111 since you have a 4 door you shouldn't have any problems with the headliner. if you have any ?s just ask I'm usually here at least once a day
  23. It should just be a female spade connector, I've just crimped them on the wire when mine did it
  24. Yeah the Dealer in Temecula had to order the gaskets for my 88
