  1. i hadn't thought to flush it.. it is darker in color.. not red.. my luck its never been changed in 220k .. gonna change it this coming week..
  2. so my power steering works fine, doesn't leak and is full.. but when i put my pathy on a nose down steep angle the pump starts whining and grinding like its gonna explode.. i level the pathy out and it goes back to normal.. was really wierd, only thing i can figure is the pump is starting to go..
  3. installed some smittybuilt nerfbars.. the 4 door bars fit nice on the 2door pathy.. Thanks to Stalker for the bars
  4. heated the manual trans drain plug for 30 min before it would even attempt to budge, then i managed to strip it using the correct tool and a 34" breaker bar, so i used the wrong tool wedged in the squareish rounded hole with a mallet, and managed to get the plug out. i don't think its ever been out before,(219k miles) the gear oil came out like water. only has a hint of gear oil smell, not like a fresh bottle does. the truck was cold from sitting overnight in below freezing weather too so it shoulda been real thick. not many metal shavings on the plug. i have a good feeling its going to love the MT90 thats going in i pulled the shifter out first to make sure i could fill it.. new drain plug is going in too.. lol.. i'm scared to do the xfer case and diffs now..
  5. he's firm on $1500.. but it has an LSD too.. i see parts rig for my 2 door.. lol..
  6. its got 223k, needs shocks, runs/drive ok, paint is good, leather is good not torn or anything, good tires, 4wd works good, all power options work. worth $1500?
  7. sentras have a cable clutch.... anyways, you can adjust it to where its comfortable for you.. if its adjusted one way or the other too far it will either slip, or it won't disengage when the pedal is pushed. Sentras like to stretch clutch cables to.. so if it feel like you have to adjust it alot cause the pedal is never consistent its prolly stretching and time for a new one before it breaks.
  8. the other thing i did this afternoon, was cut my catback off.. well it rotted off and was resting on the rear diff.. so it got taken off. then i found the cat to be half broken internally and rattling.. so i gutted it and put on a thrush super turbo muffler.. while its not really loud, i still rather have it really quiet (since is a 4cyl and annoying loud) so its gonna get a complete new exhaust in the next couple weeks.
  9. finished installing my sexy new seats.. my pathy now has more legroom too. with the seats all the way back i cannot touch the front of the floor or the pedals.. but they scoot far enough forward i can jam my knees into the dash.. i'm 6'2.. guess the rails have more travel in them than stock seats.. and the headreasts are useable now. i finally found a use for a hyundai. the stain in the drivers seat came out, and last pic it was just wet.. all bolted in and solid. they got waterproof camo covers on them too.. might as well protect them..
  10. i saw those pics somewhere here but can't find them now, lol.. i can cut the curved shape out of a flat piece with a plasma cutter
  11. working on putting new seats in my pathy.. found some 2000 hyundai seats in the JY for $30. car had 68K on it and was wrecked so the seats were like new. they have nice daily driver type bolsters, almost match color wise just a little lighter, but they are gettin covers anyways..the backs are taller than the originals too, by like 5" so with me being 6'2 i can actually use a headrest and it doesn't hit me in the shoulders. had to cut the mounts off as they were too wide, fabbed up some new mounts with 1" square tube and 1" flat bar for the bracket. pass side is almost done, just need to finish the front mounts. but its in the pathy and sitting right where the original was. they'll be 500 times better than the stock worn out vinyl seats, lol.. i'll get picks tomorrow when i get them both in.
  12. well i shouldn't have any bends at all.. the mounts can be cut out of flat plate and reinforced a litte.. maybe i should just make cardboard templates of the mounts and mail them out might be easiest
  13. time to dig out my old autocad cd's... i might be able to keep track of it..there will be lots of measurements... although i'm not makin any templates.. considering these bumpers are flat pieces of 3/16" steel tacked and cut at different angles to get the finished product, its super easy anyways.. the welder i have, the torch i do not.. i can almost get a plasma cutter for what a torch costs nowdays too.. decisions decisions.. the front winch plate looks like the starting point and they are built out from that. once the outer skin is tacked and shaped whichever way its wanted, then it needs fitted to the pathy and mounts made, the mounts will be the challenging part. once thats figured out, reinforce the outer skin on the inside, weld it all up and bam, bumper.. i have a xrc10 winch at my disposal for measurements too along with my pathy.. i think the reason tag's bumpers are off a little bit this way and that way, is that they weld it all up too fast and in doing so the steel flexes when it gets hot. that will cause the 1/8th and 1/4" problems i read about.. poor skills imo..
